Jewish studies
Apr 26, 2023 Season 1 Episode 5

In all humanities disciplines, scholars find themselves confronted with the rapidly increasing availability of digital resources, new technologies to interrogate and analyse them, and the question of how to engage with these developments. The field of Jewish studies is no exception. The C²DH aims to use the potential of digital technology to foster research in Jewish studies. Various projects have been carried out in recent years, including the launch of the websites #DHJewish and the Luxembourg Memorial of the Shoah, the publication of the book "Jewish Studies in the Digital Age" and a study on the spoliation of Jewish property.

C²DH historians Blandine Landau and Gerben Zaagsma spoke to Hanna Siemaszko, the producer of the SciLux podcast on science in Luxembourg, about their projects and the impact of digital technologies on Jewish studies.

This podcast was recorded in connection with the 2022 Annual Report of the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH), a University of Luxembourg research centre.
