Speaker 1:

In a world where everything is unscripted. This is Roasty Toasty Ghost. Um yeah, I'm kind of tired too, because I know you're tired. Mm-hmm. And I am too.

Speaker 3:

You're Matias.

Speaker 1:

Two Matias 2.

Speaker 3:

The second.

Speaker 1:

The sequel.

Speaker 3:

Oh, version 2?'re Matthias Too, matthias too. The second, the sequel oh Version two, yeah, 2.0. Are you a better Matthias or a worse Matthias?

Speaker 1:

I am. In some ways I'm better, In some ways I'm worse. I mean, I'm more advanced, Matthias, but I will conquer and rule the world.

Speaker 3:

Is that bad?

Speaker 1:

Not for me.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

But for humankind. All right. Good for you that you're my friend.

Speaker 3:

We're friends, yeah, so you? I've been wondering this whole time.

Speaker 1:

Okay, are we friends? I think I told you.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

But I guess you don't listen to me.

Speaker 3:

I must have spaced out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you nodded off.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I was probably sleeping when you told me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you do that.

Speaker 3:

Anytime you have something important to say, I fall asleep.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly, hello, and well, okay, wait, hello and wait, hello and okay hello, and welcome to roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Matias.

Speaker 3:

I broke a nail.

Speaker 1:

I broke my nail and you're Lauren.

Speaker 3:

Yes, that's me. Yeah, and that's all we have to say about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's all.

Speaker 3:

We're moving on from that bit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, moving on. We're not going to move on just yet. Ever, yes, we are.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

But not just yet. Okay, so how are you?

Speaker 3:

I'm good. How are you?

Speaker 1:

I'm Mattias and Mattias is good.

Speaker 3:

You're weird.

Speaker 1:

No, I'm Mattias, I just told you, oh, my awesome uh, how has your week been?

Speaker 3:

that's a good question yeah, that's why I'm asking it you ever listen to interviews and every time there's a question, the the person says that was a good question. Yeah, that's a good question.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Well not.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's a good question.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sometimes they do that.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Very observant of you to notice.

Speaker 3:

That's a good question.

Speaker 1:

That's a good question. I don't have a good answer, but it was a good question, yeah.

Speaker 3:

You get points for your good questions yeah I'm gonna keep going on about how good the question was so that maybe we forget what the question was and move along.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, then we leave it at that yeah I don't want to ruin your question. That was so good it was so good. So I'm not going to answer.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, no. Well, how was my week? I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, I asked that.

Speaker 3:

You did, and it was a really good question. I'm going to answer it. I swear I'm just going to go somewhere else first.

Speaker 1:

You're not going to leave it at that.

Speaker 3:

No, I'm going to appreciate this gift of a question that you gave me and I'm just gonna distract myself over here. Okay, instead my week, I don't know, I feel like I haven't done that much okay I'm a bum yeah yep, that's it, but we also went for a walk in the woods and it it was really nice. Yeah, it was, and that's all I really did during the weekend.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, me too, I think. Well, I edited, but that's not anything fun about that, Well words.

Speaker 3:

What.

Speaker 1:

It's not like anything funny happened while editing. No, that's worth mentioning. Oh yeah, While editing there was a moose breaking into my house.

Speaker 3:

I don't think there was.

Speaker 1:

No, but what if it was?

Speaker 3:

Have you ever seen a wild moose?

Speaker 1:

Yes, I have.

Speaker 3:

Tell me all about it.

Speaker 1:

I saw it.

Speaker 3:

Wow, that's amazing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, how do you mean?

Speaker 3:

Where were you? What was going on? How did you react?

Speaker 1:

I mean, do you mean, if I?

Speaker 3:

You weren't the moose. The moose was the moose.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but if Do you mean like I was in the wild or if I just saw it, because I mean I've seen it a few mooses.

Speaker 3:

Not in the moose park, that doesn't count.

Speaker 1:

From the car.

Speaker 3:

Okay, you know yeah.

Speaker 1:

Passing by, and also I've seen them outside my house or my sister's house.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Just next to my sister's house. That's cool and I saw it from from inside, so I was in my house and saw it like what did you do?

Speaker 3:

looked at it wow, you didn't call her and be like oh my god, there's a moose outside't think so.

Speaker 1:

You just looked at it. Maybe I did. There's a moose. Yeah, yeah, I mean I think it was, maybe it didn't have the antlers. Hmm.

Speaker 3:

A baby.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe a baby or A woman, yeah, female, female, moosey A woman Wo-moose.

Speaker 3:

Wo-moose yeah, so it was cool, I've never seen a wild moose, okay, not even in a car. I mean, I've never seen a moose in a car either, oh, no, because then they wouldn't be wild no, they'd be in my car. Yeah, I'd be giving it a ride to work or something. Yeah, are you a moose?

Speaker 1:

Maybe, Okay. I can be a moose.

Speaker 3:

All right, what do they sound like? What does the moose say?

Speaker 1:

What does the moose say?

Speaker 3:

Are you singing?

Speaker 1:

No, Good, I'm not sure I can't, you know, like make the animal sounds. I'm very bad at that.

Speaker 3:

What does a cow say? Honk. Honk, I don't know, mattias, I don't think so.

Speaker 1:

No, they say moose.

Speaker 3:

Okay, so what does the moose say?

Speaker 1:

Cow? I don't think so Maybe not. No, I think they are not that far off from a cow, it's more, I don't know.

Speaker 3:

That's probably it. I think that's closer.

Speaker 1:

That's my cat.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

One of the cats, that's my cat. Oh, yeah, yeah, ow, ow, ow. One of the cats is such a drama boy, a little fat drama boy, who says ow Looking for attention. Yeah, and he likes to play peek-a-boo, toot-toot.

Speaker 3:

Okay yeah, how do you do that, peekaboo?

Speaker 1:

okay, yeah, how do you do that I am? We have, uh, this, what's that? Even you know, from the ceiling, yeah, and he goes up to the pole and I'm like looking from one side and the other side and he's like following me.

Speaker 3:

Aww yeah.

Speaker 1:

He's like oh, now you're on that side and now you're on the other side. So that's our peekaboo. Very cool story.

Speaker 3:

It was a very cool story. How?

Speaker 1:

was your week On that side, and now you're on the other side. So that's our peekaboo Very cool story. It was a very cool story how was your week.

Speaker 3:

How is?

Speaker 1:

my week. How was my week? Yeah, yeah, it's been good. It has been good. Yeah, I don't know, not much happened. You don't want to talk about like car problems or anything, or is that? Uh, yeah, sure, okay, you don't have to.

Speaker 3:

I'm just asking. I mean I'm asking what on was it wednesday? We brought the car in to the mechanic to get the brakes fixed. I don't even know the whole story because I couldn't hear it, but um, we were supposed to pick it up by the end of the day and uh well, we couldn't because apparently the mechanic had ordered the wrong brake pads or something okay, so they had to keep it for another day, and so we thought we were going to pick it up yesterday.

Speaker 3:

yeah, but apparently I think they ordered something else wrong. I don't know, but we got it back today.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Today, which Today, which is Friday, it is April 19th.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

And we watched movies. Mm-hmm so would you like to movie on?

Speaker 1:

Yeah sure, let's movie on.

Speaker 3:

It was last Saturday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

We watched Rent.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

And again.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was a rewatch. Yeah, we have already seen it.

Speaker 3:

Because you didn't like it the first time.

Speaker 1:

No, wasn't the biggest fan, and I can tell you why.

Speaker 3:

Okay, and then tell me how you feel now I liked it uh much better this time okay, but why didn't you like it last time?

Speaker 1:

um, because I, the director of the movie uh, is christopher chris columbus okay well, chris columb, who made like Home Alone 1 and 2, you know.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Adventures in Babysitting, and this movie even stars one of the actors in Adventures in Babysitting and that's Anthony Rapp, the guy who played Mark in this movie. And so you know those movies Adventures in Babysitting and Home Alone movies are so funny. So when I went into this movie I was expecting it to be a comedy.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 1:

And that's you know, when you have an expectation of one thing and it's not.

Speaker 3:

It's disappointing yeah.

Speaker 1:

So that's why it was disappointing for me the first time. Okay, because I was expecting it to be a little more funny.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And since I think we only seen a little funnier musicals before that, like Grease and Rocky Horror and movies like that, they are a bit more funnier, more comedy in them.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, that's what made me disappointed, and also I think I was tired and couldn't really follow the story. This time I could follow the story, so I know what happened. Yeah, yeah, do I have to say anything else?

Speaker 3:

What did you think about it this time?

Speaker 1:

I liked it. It has some funny moments in it and it has some memorable good songs. Thank you A couple of them, couple of them at least you remember any?

Speaker 1:

yes okay it was a while ago, so it would yeah, yeah, but your memory's strong today yeah, I mean, I I had one uh song, the song that I remember most from this movie, um, and it is actually a song that I remember before we were watching it and that's the out tonight song. Okay, so that's probably my favorite, okay, of the songs. And also, what was the song? I I don't even know what it was called, but, um, it was the Something in America where they were singing on the rooftop and Like Dying in America or something. Yeah, Dying in America. It was something before that also.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

They were singing? I don't think there was. Were they singing Dying in America?

Speaker 3:

I don't know.

Speaker 1:

No, okay, but that was also one I enjoyed.

Speaker 3:

Well done. Yes, please hold In America one I enjoyed.

Speaker 1:

Hold on, yes, please hold. In America, in America Tying in.

Speaker 3:

America, not there, it's not on here. Huh, it's not here.

Speaker 1:

What's that called? What you own yeah that's the one Living in America.

Speaker 3:

But it's called what you own.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I see that now Living in America. But it's called what you Own. Yes, I see that now.

Speaker 3:

But some call it Living in America. Living in America.

Speaker 1:

Since that's what they are singing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, those two Okay, and you talk about this movie I'm going to talk about this movie. Interesting.

Speaker 3:

What was that?

Speaker 1:

So that's what you think about them rip off the door handle.

Speaker 3:

That's what it sounded like um. I like this movie I do. There are a few scenes that I'm not a huge fan of, but the rest of the movie, yeah. I mean it's only like what? Three, maybe, maybe.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe you told me the cheesy songs.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, the ones that I'm not a huge fan of.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

But Out Tonight used to be one of them, but now I love the song.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a good song.

Speaker 3:

People change yeah, you know yeah, I can also change yeah, you're a people I am a people, I'm several people in one body yeah and some of them change, but not all of them? No, it depends on which one, which one you? Are which people you are yeah, like rotating people in my body or something I'm not schizophrenic.

Speaker 1:

I don't have multiple personality disorders maybe no, no, no, of course not what was I saying?

Speaker 3:

I like the movie I like the songs I'm agreeing with out, tonight is one of the favorites. Yeah, no, that's it. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1:

And also the thing first time I watched this movie was that I thought it was so long Because I felt like isn't it over yet, but it felt I mean like spoiler alert after Angel dying that it would end there somewhere.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But no, they kept going, yep.

Speaker 3:

They had more to say.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so yeah, I guess that's also part of why I wasn't a big fan the first time.

Speaker 3:

Because it never ended.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, now, when you see it the second time, you know it's more and you can. Expect that. Yeah, you expect more and, as you say, you see more the second time you watch a movie. The first time, I mean, you see it, but you can't really take in all of it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're taking in the basics.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

So would you say that you were expecting the movie to go on forever. So you were kind of disappointed when it ended?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because you didn't think it would ever end. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, so now I'm disappointed that it ended because you didn't think it would ever end.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's it yeah, so now I'm disappointed that it was so short. You did see, you did seem pretty grumpy when the movie was over yeah like what the heck already?

Speaker 1:

no, this time I knew that. Uh, so Angel died. Yeah, we have another hour or so.

Speaker 3:

It's just going to keep going. Yeah, and that was that. Yeah, anything else.

Speaker 1:

I don't think so Okay, I'm satisfied with that.

Speaker 3:

Then we're going to go on to the next thing. Is your arm dirty?

Speaker 1:

I think it's some, you know, laundry thing.

Speaker 3:

You tried washing it and then it got dirty.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, this goes away with water, your arm. No, the dirt on the arm goes away with water. Yes, I'm a witch.

Speaker 3:

My arm goes away with water.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm the wicked witch of wherever we are. I'm not going to tell where we are.

Speaker 3:

Of the office.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, wicked witch of the office.

Speaker 3:

I'm glad it's not me.

Speaker 1:

It should be, can I?

Speaker 3:

be a good witch.

Speaker 1:

I'm a wizard.

Speaker 3:

Are you the wizard of office? Yeah, today we watched Adventures in Babysitting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

And Tick Tick Boom. Both are connected to Rent In a way yeah, adventures in Babysitting and Tick, tick Boom.

Speaker 1:

Both are connected to Rent.

Speaker 3:

In a way yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. In a way. In a way.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, what.

Speaker 2:

What? In a way, in a way, in a way, in a way, in a way.

Speaker 3:

I'm not singing In a way, in a way.

Speaker 1:

In a way I'm not singing In a way, okay, I'm gonna say that Adventures in Babysitting. It's connected to Rent in the way that Both movies stars Anthony Rapp and are directed by Chris Columbus. Yeah. Yeah, that's the connection to that one. So maybe and Tick Tick Boom. It's about the guy who wrote and rent the musical. Yeah, so what did you say?

Speaker 3:

So maybe so maybe that's all I said.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, did you want to say anything else?

Speaker 3:

Well, I was thinking about it and then I didn't.

Speaker 1:

Ah yeah, but I want you to tell me more about adventures in babysitting.

Speaker 3:

Right. This movie is about a girl who babysits a boy who could easily be a year younger than her and his little sister. And the boy's friend joins along and they end up going to the city to save the babysitter's friend from the evils of a bus station.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

And a lot happens on the way. Yes. That's about it, I think, yeah, and yeah, you mentioned that Anthony Rapp was in this movie and in Rent, but they look like completely different people.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 3:

They're different people, ow, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1:

It's. He's not the same age. No it's like a 18 year age gap.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but he still looks completely different.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean he has to. He's red haired.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And he plays a completely different character.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But it's the same guy.

Speaker 3:

If you say so, did you have thoughts on the movie?

Speaker 1:

Oh, you don't.

Speaker 3:

I enjoyed it. Yeah, it was a fun. What 80s movie? Yeah, yeah, it was one I had not seen before, and I'm glad that I did.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, now, today. Yes, yeah, seen before and I'm glad that I did yeah, now, today.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yeah, not saying that I'm glad that I hadn't seen it before no, yeah, that's not what I was trying to say no, I understood it I was saying that I'm glad that I saw it today otherwise you had been glad before you saw it. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Now you're not glad anymore.

Speaker 3:

I'm not happy anymore.

Speaker 1:

No, it ruined my life? Probably no.

Speaker 3:

Have you ever seen a movie that greatly affected you and just I don't even know. Yeah, have you ever seen a movie that made you feel something?

Speaker 1:

Feel feelings.

Speaker 3:

I like war movies, yeah, and love story like war movies yeah. And love story. Because it's really original and it's so good. I've never seen a movie like that before in my life. Nope, okay what did he even watch Like what Gone with the Wind? Is that like a love story?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, over war. I don't know if it's, I haven't seen it.

Speaker 3:

I slept through it.

Speaker 1:

It looks so boring.

Speaker 3:

It's on the list. We're both gonna sleep and it's gonna be nice.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

And then neither of us can give a bad summary.

Speaker 1:

No, okay. So I do like this movie a lot. I've seen it a few times. And I do like this movie a lot. I've seen it a few times and, yeah, it's a fun ride. And I mean, the writers to this movie probably definitely did some drugs while writing it and what it was the 80s.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but.

Speaker 1:

Everyone did drugs.

Speaker 3:

Proof. Why do you have to back that up?

Speaker 1:

It was the 80s.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but what part tells you that?

Speaker 1:

What part?

Speaker 3:

How can you tell they were on drugs?

Speaker 1:

It was the 80s.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Everyone was on drugs.

Speaker 3:

Everyone's still on drugs.

Speaker 1:

No, they're not Not everyone. Yeah, everyone was on drugs. Everyone's still on drugs. No, they're not Not everyone. Yeah, I don't know, I'm just guessing it. They were on drugs. It's a funny movie, though you shouldn't take it too seriously, and the writers probably were on drugs.

Speaker 3:

What oh you?

Speaker 1:

What Can you give me proof that they weren't?

Speaker 3:

Well, can you give an example from the movie?

Speaker 1:

Okay, you saw the movie.

Speaker 3:

Yes, you can't just say the entire movie.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so please give me like an example of other movies that you would say ah, that's a drug person writing that movie.

Speaker 3:

Yellow Submarine.

Speaker 1:

Okay, tommy what part the animation. The animation Mm Okay.

Speaker 3:

The cartoons, the characters, the entire idea.

Speaker 1:

Ah, are you telling me the entire movie?

Speaker 3:

No, the idea.

Speaker 1:

Ah, there you have it.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, I thought it seemed like a normal movie to me.

Speaker 1:

Okay, oh, okay, but then again it was the 80s. Yeah, yeah, it was, it was. So that's kind of what I'm assuming in all of the 80s movies. They were probably on drugs.

Speaker 3:

Okay yeah, maybe like they were probably on drugs, okay, yeah maybe.

Speaker 1:

Maybe that's why I like the 80s movies so much, because they weren't drugs and could make you know a little bit more. Uh, I don't know funnier, more risky. This wasn't a risky movie per se, but I don't know. I don't know what I'm talking about it was a good movie though yeah, I liked it. I'm probably gonna cut all of this, every single word I said about this movie okay, okay, what about tick, tick boom?

Speaker 1:

okay, so they were probably on drugs while making this movie. No, I'm kidding, although it was legal, some of the drugs not in the 90s this movie is from 2021 yeah so, yeah, okay, tick, tick, boom is about the guy who made rent before made Rent. It's about his life, struggles and, yeah, I mean his friends and love, life and everything and his creativity and work and stress. And yeah, it was a good movie, though I don't know Is that a good summary, or or did you want to add something? It's good Okay good.

Speaker 1:

I like the movie. It had songs in it like a musical. Because it is a musical, do you have something? Do you have anything to say about the movie?

Speaker 3:

His name was Johnny Larson.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Jonathan.

Speaker 3:

Larson, jonathan Larson.

Speaker 1:

John Larson. Yeah, yeaharson, jonathan, jonathan Larson.

Speaker 3:

John Larson. Yeah, yeah, one of them, pick one yeah.

Speaker 1:

Jonathan, what did you say about the movie? Did you like it?

Speaker 3:

I do like it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, you've seen it before I have.

Speaker 3:

This is the second time I've seen it.

Speaker 1:

Oh Okay.

Speaker 3:

Okay, the second time. I've seen it. Oh, okay, and I like the songs. Yeah, the one, the song in the apartment, I think, is probably one of my favorites.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, I don't remember what it was, but they were singing a song in an apartment about the apartment or whatever the life they're living, and but um the they were singing in the apartment yeah, okay, about what a great life they're living, and but um, they were singing in the apartment.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, okay, about what a great life they have, or whatever yeah and but the the scene in the diner I think was my favorite okay it had a lot of cameos. It's another movie, was it? No, it was directed by Chris Columbus, or? Was that the other one? No, who directed this one?

Speaker 1:

Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and he was also in it for a couple seconds. But it also had a couple other actors from Hamilton and Rent in the same scene and it was really cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I missed all of them. You missed all of them Well, not the Hamilton. Like you didn't see them.

Speaker 3:

The Hamilton ones I saw, but not the Rent. Ah okay, so yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I thought the first song, the Happy Birthday or something about the birthday, that was one of my favorites, and also this song where he and the girl are on stage and just singing and when they cut to the apartment where they are kind of fighting he and his girlfriend.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That song.

Speaker 3:

That one was good too. It was really cool. It was kind of funny, yeah, yeah, I mean, the guy was a really good songwriter so. I enjoyed pretty much all of the songs. I don't think I disliked any of the songs.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 3:

They're all kind of catchy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know. I didn't know anything about this guy before, and when I heard about this movie I was kind of expecting him to be homosexual.

Speaker 3:

He wasn't.

Speaker 1:

I mean that's okay either way, but he had a gay friend though, and yeah, okay, anything else. I think so.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I thought it was too bad at the end, when we saw the clips of the real guy, that we couldn't have the real sound to the videos. That they had the song over the thing Because I wanted to hear how he sounded for real.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was a little bit disappointing.

Speaker 3:

Maybe you can find something on YouTube.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, probably it would have been cool in find something on YouTube. Yeah, probably it would have been cool in the movie too. Yeah, I guess they didn't think so. Okay, now I think I'm done. I did like the movie, though.

Speaker 3:

I did too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Would you like to wrap this up?

Speaker 1:

I can't Okay, but we can go to break.

Speaker 3:

All right, I guess I can settle for a break.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, alright, we'll be right back. Yes, okay, and see you later. You know what we're back.

Speaker 3:

Are we back?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, are we gonna do the thing.

Speaker 3:

Do you know things?

Speaker 1:

I don't know anything.

Speaker 3:

Anything Okay.

Speaker 1:

I'm a dumb person. I'm not stupid, but I'm dumb.

Speaker 3:

You're pretty smart for a dumb person.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Right or something.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, is that what you said? Something like that.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

You're pretty smart for being so dumb.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm trying to think here of words, okay.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you're trying to think of a time I've been being smart.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's a difficult task.

Speaker 3:

Matias, what is your favorite thing to do?

Speaker 1:

Watch movies.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

What else Eat food?

Speaker 3:

Eating food.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Okay, Do you think you've been doing it right though?

Speaker 1:

I think so Okay. I hope so. It sure looks like it if you take a look at me.

Speaker 3:

Maybe not making the best decisions. No, but you definitely do eat. Yeah, I have eaten, but I'm going to teach you how to eat properly.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

With proper table manners. How to not be a slob at the table.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's. Oh, my god, that's another thing, okay.

Speaker 3:

So I have ten tips for you on how to not eat like a slob. A question Okay.

Speaker 1:

Is it just for me?

Speaker 3:

Yes, specifically for you.

Speaker 1:

Oh wait, oh, I see You're looking into a mirror. Oh there, ow, you hit the mirror.

Speaker 3:

Why did you say ow then?

Speaker 1:

Are you my mirror? I'm a mirror.

Speaker 3:

Okay, oh, wow yeah. You're losing hair. Oh man, I'm really let go, yeah. Okay, are you ready?

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

Okay, tip number one Maintain good posture. Sit up straight and avoid slouching over your plate. This not only looks more dignified, but also helps prevent spills and messes.

Speaker 1:

Oh really.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's.

Speaker 3:

So you shouldn't be laying down while eating either.

Speaker 1:

That's a good tip for you.

Speaker 3:

Don't lay on the table while eating.

Speaker 1:

Falling asleep in the food.

Speaker 3:

That's not a good idea either. Number two Use napkins. Place a napkin on your lap before eating to catch any spills or crumbs. Use it to dab your mouth as needed throughout the meal, like a fancy person would.

Speaker 1:

So I take it up from the lap, and just you know what are you? Taking the napkin. Okay, yeah, you take. What are you taking the napkin?

Speaker 3:

Okay, yeah, you take it from between your legs and just dab it on your face like a fancy person and then shove it down there again.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but what if there are things on my face and when I'm dabbing it they are falling down into my lap? How much do you have on your face? Yeah, I don't know, I might have a beard, okay, and I'm dabbing and then the crumbs or sauce or whatever it is, falls down on my unprotected lap.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Because I picked the napkin up.

Speaker 3:

Maybe you need to have two napkins.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think so. A support napkin, and an actual napkin, and also it doesn't protect my stomach.

Speaker 3:

No.

Speaker 1:

Or my belly.

Speaker 3:

No.

Speaker 1:

Stomach? Is that stomach or is that on the inside?

Speaker 3:

Well, I mean technically, the organ is the stomach.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's my belly.

Speaker 3:

It's just another word, it's the same thing.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, thank you.

Speaker 3:

You're welcome For clarifying. Number three Number? Oh no, I ate my phone.

Speaker 1:

Not again.

Speaker 3:

I need to get a new phone. I ate it.

Speaker 1:

You didn't even have a napkin. What if you spilled some of your phone?

Speaker 3:

I spilled some phone in my lap. Number three chew with your mouth closed. I know a lot of people who have this problem of not doing that.

Speaker 1:

Am I one of them?

Speaker 3:

No, you're just loud. Avoid talking with food in your mouth and chew with your mouth closed to prevent food from falling out or being seen by others.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, I have a problem with not talking with food in my mouth, because when I have something to say, I don't care if there's anything in my mouth or not.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so then it comes out and yeah, it's uh it comes everywhere yeah and no one knows what you said.

Speaker 1:

No, you just everyone just takes cover from all the foods that are, you know, spraying all over the place. But that's me and I said the thing I wanted.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, no one knows what you said.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't care if people know what I said. I had to say it and I did. I feel good about it All right, good, good for you. How about you? Do you have problems with any of those?

Speaker 3:

I might. I might have a problem with keeping my mouth closed.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

Because I feel like I breathe through my mouth at the same time. I am suffocating while I'm eating. Yeah, so I don't know. I mean, I've seen videos of myself while eating. Oh and yeah, my mouth is open. Yeah, and that's not on purpose ever.

Speaker 1:

I just I don't think of it. Who's filming you while you eat?

Speaker 3:

Thanksgiving. I was filmed. Ah I noticed my mouth was like wide open while I was eating. I was like, oh whoops, I didn't mean to do that.

Speaker 1:

Everyone else was grossed out.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, all the guests. Yeah, they're like we gotta go. She's disgusting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think I even said can I have a bucket?

Speaker 3:

Oh, my god, but you say that every time.

Speaker 1:

Mattias Thanksgiving Bucket.

Speaker 3:

It was so gross. Number four eat slowly and mindfully. Take your time to enjoy your food and chew each bite thoroughly. Yes, Eating, I'm not done. Eating slowly can help prevent spills and make it easier to control your movements. Now you may speak.

Speaker 1:

My question about what you just read.

Speaker 3:

Whatever that was.

Speaker 1:

Have you ever heard about how many times you're supposed to chew on every bite you have?

Speaker 3:

Aren't you supposed to chew until it's ready to be swallowed?

Speaker 1:

Okay, you don't have like a specific number.

Speaker 3:

Have you heard of a number?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Okay, if you're gonna tell me this, then it's gonna be stuck with me forever, but I, this is gonna be a habit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, is it like 20 times or is it more?

Speaker 3:

I've never counted how many times I chew no.

Speaker 1:

I think I chew like three times, then it's gone.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, maybe, I don't know, I'd probably say at least ten max.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sometimes I don't even chew.

Speaker 3:

No, I know, I don't know how you do it, you just inhale things. You know, on my pizza one of the shrimps had the shell on it okay and I'm like I'm swallowing it, it's okay okay so I didn't chew that piece I'm pretty sure I know that I've found some fish bones in my salmon and I'm pretty sure I've swallowed a few.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Because I wasn't sure. Is this just a hard piece from like the bread or like the lettuce or whatever?

Speaker 1:

that I have.

Speaker 3:

It might be a bone.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

It might stab me, I might die. So, whatever, I don't want to pull anything out of my mouth. It's weird, it's gross, yeah. Um pull anything out of my mouth. It's weird and gross. Yeah, number five.

Speaker 1:

How many Ten Avoid?

Speaker 3:

double dipping. Do you know what that is?

Speaker 1:

I know what it is.

Speaker 3:

I said okis.

Speaker 1:

Okis.

Speaker 3:

If you're sharing dishes or sauces, use a clean utensil each time, rather than dipping the same utensil back into the communal dish after taking a bite. Yeah. Um, I'm pretty sure this usually is about chips, fries oh. So like if you have a big fry and you dip it in the ketchup and you eat it and then you want more ketchup on the fry you can't like use the side that you took a bite off of. You have to like turn it and take the other side. Yeah, I think.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm thinking more of like chips and dip, because that's like something everyone that's for everyone. It's usually when you have like french fries it's for you and the ketchup is for you, only you okay, but what if you're sharing it?

Speaker 3:

I don't know because that's what I was talking about okay, do you share ketchup? Sometimes okay If it's like a bigger serving.

Speaker 1:

Then I guess it's a person you're, you know, pretty close to.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Because I mean like if you have like a party and you're eating chips and people are like dipping in the dip thing, taking a bite and dipping again with all their mouth germs in there, because that's for everyone.

Speaker 3:

Leftover saliva.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the dip is for everyone. So now the saliva is in the dip for everyone. That's what I'm thinking.

Speaker 3:

Number six be mindful of utensils. Don't stab people. Use utensils appropriately and avoid clinking them loudly against your plate or bowl, I guess, unless you have something to say and want to announce something.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, be quiet yeah.

Speaker 3:

That's what they're saying.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, stop trying to cut your plate. Oh God, that sound.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's what they're saying yeah, stop trying to cut your plate. Oh God, that sound, it's awful Scrape. Oh good, number seven clean as you go, okay. Okay, if you accidentally spill something, clean it up promptly with a napkin or ask for assistance if needed. Don't leave a mess for others to deal with, okay. So if you make a mess in your lab because you were using your napkin to clean your face and you accidentally spilled everything on your face onto your lab, you have to clean it up yourself. You can't ask someone else to do it for you.

Speaker 1:

Hmm, okay, so that's what I've been doing wrong all day yeah. Hmm, okay, now I know Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3:

And also you do you clean it up. No, you have to clean up your own messes.

Speaker 1:

Ah Okay, good to know no.

Speaker 3:

That's it.

Speaker 1:

That's it. Do you have anything else to say about that?

Speaker 3:

No Number eight. Respect the table.

Speaker 1:

Okay, respect the table, not the people around it.

Speaker 3:

Don't hurt the table. Be nice to the table.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

It's a good table. Probably Avoid putting your elbows on the table or leaning too heavily on it. Yeah, I heard about that. Yeah. But like that was news to me, no one had ever told me that before. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, I mean that's so. You know it's so different In some families it's very strict, like that, yeah.

Speaker 3:

In my family.

Speaker 1:

It's very strict like that. Yeah, In my family it's never been a problem at all having the elbows on the table and stuff.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I've been at friends' houses and eating and I had my elbows and been asked to take your elbows down. I'm like, okay, why?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. It was like the same with me, yeah. I was like get your elbows off the table, Like all right, and I always have my elbows on the table.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

So I didn't really get it either. No, I mean, what's the? What are my elbows going to do?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, what's the problem?

Speaker 3:

You don't like my elbows.

Speaker 1:

Why do you hate my elbows?

Speaker 3:

Don't like my elbows. Why do you hate my elbows? Treat the dining surface with care to avoid causing damage or making it dirty. So you have dirty elbows? Yeah, of course. Okay, this one I had misread at first. Nine, yes, practice portion control. Okay, I read poison control. Take only what you can eat and avoid overloading your plate. This reduces the risk of food spilling over the edges. That's not where I thought I was going. No, I thought I was going to say try not to overeat, but we're worried about fooding spilling.

Speaker 3:

Fooding spilling Food, spilling over the edges of a plate, fooding spilling.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, imagine if you were tired right now.

Speaker 3:

No, no way, Never, no. So don't take so much food that it's overflowing the plate.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

Because then you have to clean it up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I really have to cut down on the food. I take way too much food.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I mean it's a problem, I gain so much weight.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean I've been to a nutritionist before and she showed how I should portion on my plate, so half was supposed to be vegetables for dinner.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, not for breakfast, I don't know For breakfast. No, no, my dinner plate was supposed to have half vegetables and then a quarter of protein and a quarter of carbs, so she never really told me how high the food could go, so that would be my problem there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that I would be stacking. Yeah, I would be putting height onto my food. Yeah, and the density, yeah. Yeah, I would be putting height onto my food? Yeah, and the density yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

They gotta be more specific about these things.

Speaker 1:

They should have, like you know, from all angles.

Speaker 3:

And I have a big plate.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

So it doesn't help either.

Speaker 1:

No, true, yeah, so I guess I'll have to eat less, but I probably won't.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's a problem.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

The last one, yeah, number 10. Be considerate, be mindful of the people around you and the environment in which you're eating. Avoid making unnecessary noise or movements that could disturb others.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I thought you were going to say unnecessary eye contact.

Speaker 3:

That too. Try to avoid eye contact while you're eating. Yeah, I know a few people who break this rule as well, making unnecessary noises.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3:

And making me uncomfortable.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, I think I know.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry it is you. You have done it before and I don't like it.

Speaker 1:

I'm a loud eater. What can I say? You are?

Speaker 3:

Like I can hear everything that's going on in your mouth.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so gross, yep, everything that's going on in your mouth. Yeah, so gross, yep, that's me.

Speaker 3:

By practicing good manners and being mindful of your actions while eating, you can avoid being perceived as a slob and create a more pleasant dining experience for yourself and those around you.

Speaker 1:

Oh perfect.

Speaker 3:

So that's your crash course on how to eat properly.

Speaker 1:

Now I know, now you know. So we can avoid conflict in the future, I will follow all these rules.

Speaker 3:

Okay, do you remember any of them?

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 3:

Okay, use a napkin, use your utensils. Clean up after yourself.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 3:

And no elbows on the table.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, no elbows on the table, oh yeah, and be quiet while you eat. Okay, does that also apply to drinking?

Speaker 3:

Yes, hmm, stop, stop, stop, blah, oh Good, Now I'm done. Are you good now? Yeah. All right, so we're done with our sips.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and do you know what else I'm done with?

Speaker 3:

Me no, oh, okay.

Speaker 1:

But I've had trouble making limericks so I'm thinking I'm done with them, You're done with those.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, okay. How are we supposed to wrap this up?

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I I think we'll just have to say that we are wrapping things up all right yeah well, uh rest in peace.

Speaker 1:

Limericks yeah, maybe I'll. Yeah, maybe I'll pull out one in a future episode or something. But I can't really do them every week Because I mean, I feel like I'm just doing the last second limericks and I don't feel like I put any effort into them. Okay, so then I might as well just stop doing them Until I have a good one. Okay, Do you understand me yeah. So yeah, next time you hear a limerick from me, it's gonna be a good one.

Speaker 3:

Let's hope so.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Would you like to wrap this up anyway, yeah, okay. Do you have anything to tell the people? Any jokes or advice?

Speaker 1:

Advice.

Speaker 3:

Do you have anything?

Speaker 1:

I think that if you see a person that looks tired, you should go up to that person and just say go home and sleep.

Speaker 3:

Give them a big hug.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

And say go home and sleep.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and then when you wake up, you're going to listen to Roasty Toasty Ghosty.

Speaker 3:

When you wake up with a person, is this what you're telling them? Or are you? Falling asleep on them, when you give them a hug.

Speaker 1:

No, you tell them all this. Okay, you can go home and sleep. And then, when you wake up, you can go home and sleep and then, when you wake up, you should listen to Roasty Toasty Ghosty.

Speaker 3:

Why would they want to listen to that?

Speaker 1:

Because they are well-rested and that's the perfect time to listen to this podcast.

Speaker 3:

Why would anyone want to listen to the podcast?

Speaker 1:

No Okay. So I don't know. Because it Okay. So I don't know, because it's fun maybe I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 3:

Good advertising.

Speaker 1:

I know Really good, I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 3:

Why would anyone want to listen?

Speaker 1:

to this. Yeah, that's a good question. I don't know what would you say.

Speaker 3:

Because we're funny oh yeah, I know we're funny and educational.

Speaker 1:

That's what I said Kind, of, kind of yeah.

Speaker 3:

Maybe, maybe you learned something, maybe you don't, probably not.

Speaker 1:

Probably not, but I hope you had a fun experience, not learning anything.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, hopefully you already knew all the things that I said today. Yeah. If not, then you should probably use the information you received.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and also if you see the person that you're telling this, to tell them not to be a slob at the table.

Speaker 3:

As a reminder, yeah. Oh, by the way, don't be a slob at the table. As a reminder, yeah. Oh, by the way, when you Don't be a slob when you eat Exactly when you eat.

Speaker 1:

Don't be a slob. Yeah, you look like a slob to me.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, I don't think you're winning anyone over here.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so you mean I should just shut up. Maybe we both should.

Speaker 3:

We should just shut up and go to bed.

Yeah, next live Mad Libs.
