Weekly Musings and Movie Reviews
Speaker 1Why does this always happen? Why does this always happen to me? Why does this always happen? Why does this always happen to me? Do-do-do-do do-do-do-do-do.
Speaker 2Hello and welcome to Roasty, toasty Ghosty. This is gonna be another weird episode. Maybe this is gonna be another more Mattias-focused episode now. Oh, by the way, I'm gonna be your friend for the next few minutes I almost said hours, but no, I'm not that mean. So a few minutes. I'm gonna be your best friend, and or maybe not best friend, but pretty good friend, and I'm gonna talk about my week, shall we? Yes, we shall. So my week has been pretty good. I mean, on Saturday I went to like a party with some colleagues from my working place.
Speaker 2It's like a company party, you can say, I guess, and I had like a golden head wig on a black t-shirt, black pants and golden suspenders, golden bow ties and also a golden hat, and I mean it was actually very successful because most of the people at the party liked what I had on. Other people were having like regular people clothes and didn't dress up as much as I did, so that felt great. They nominated me to best outfit of the evening. So, there, and it was fun, I didn't stay too long. So, yeah, that was Saturday, then Sunday I didn't do very much. I did some editing and, yeah, that's about it Chopped some wood.
Speaker 2Then on Monday I went to work and it's so hot at work, it's so warm and humid and disgusting, and you know, the clothes stick to your body and I don't like that at all. It feels awful. I mean it was okay at the start of the week On Friday. That was the worst day, not good. So I did not like that at all.
Speaker 2Otherwise, I haven't done very much during the week, mostly like just hanging out. Oh yeah, we have been like grilling or barbecuing or whatever you call it, and that's nice. It hasn't been raining for a while, not before Friday, and I guess that's why it was so humid on Friday, since it had been raining. So, yeah, that's my week. Really. I haven't done very much and I mean I've been so bad. I haven't been biking at all this week. I think it's been too hot, so I didn't want to do that to myself. I know I should. I really should take care of my training and lose some weight, because I have been gaining some weight and I should really lose that soon. Yeah, that's it. Maybe I should move on now. So maybe I should like let Lauren come out from her room. Hi.
Speaker 3Lauren hi lauren hello hi how you doing good good how are you?
Speaker 2I'm also good I have to see if I can hear myself. Yes, I think so.
Speaker 3Can I hear myself? I don't know. I have to see I have to see if I can hear myself. I sound like I've been smoking. No, I haven't. No, it's just my voice. It's weird I have not smoked while being here. Good, but I do have something in my eye and it's kind of annoying.
Speaker 2Is that a cigarette butt Stop?
Speaker 3No.
Speaker 2Oh no, You're weird.
Speaker 3Oh, matias, you're so sweet.
Speaker 2Yeah, big forehead.
Speaker 3Oh, matias, you're so sweet. Yeah, big forehead. Oh, matias you're so sweet. Yeah, no, I know she's up.
Speaker 1Why.
Speaker 3Heather, come say hi.
Speaker 2Oh no, why is that so difficult?
Speaker 3She's scratching at the door. She can't get in the door, oh yeah, she's a dog.
Speaker 4I forgot she's a dog did you already do the podcast?
Speaker 3no, say hi to heather. Heather's also here.
Speaker 4Hello, heather I'm eddie s she's our special guest.
Speaker 3she's been on the podcast before Our only guest ever. I don't remember this. That's human.
Speaker 2You've been on two episodes the only guest that's alive.
Speaker 3Yeah, that's true, the only one that survived. Yeah, all of our other guests have died Too soon. What do you like to movie on?
Speaker 2Yeah, let's movie on.
Speaker 4He just wants to join it. He just left out he wants to join it. Okay.
Speaker 3Yeah, so I have to warn you, though, we watched the first one again and not the second one. Also, my computer died while we were watching the first one, so I didn't even finish the movie.
Speaker 2Okay, but yeah, it's gonna be good, it's gonna be really good.
Speaker 3Can you do the bed summary for me, because I can't talk. You've seen it before anyway, I guess.
Speaker 4I can try. I don't remember the end, though.
Speaker 3Yeah, there is no ending, because that's when it ended. It ended at that one part and then nothing happened after that.
Speaker 2Now, where did it end for you?
Speaker 3Where did it end, was he?
Speaker 4going after Wynonna oh yeah, he was assaulting her Again, Okay, Again on the couch. He was trying to make out with her and she was like no, no, no.
Speaker 3I feel like other things happened after that. Oh I don't know, we're going to have to watch it again.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3Because the football players died, okay, and then it was whoever he was going after after that.
Speaker 4Oh, I think it was another one of the Hathers.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, Another one of these Because she, like, cut herself or something. Did she? Did she actually die? Did we see her die?
Speaker 2No, Okay, this is going to be great.
Speaker 3You see the disappointment in his face.
Speaker 4Yeah, Like this was not a plan. Lauren has a hole in her wall.
Speaker 3I have a hole in my wall and I don't know where it came from.
Speaker 2Is it a big hole?
Speaker 3It's like a fist. Someone threw their fist through my wall and I don't remember who it was?
Speaker 2Were you trying to escape, or something?
Speaker 3Maybe Behind my door.
Speaker 1Okay, instead of taking the door, you.
Speaker 3I'm trying to go through the wall. Yeah, okay, instead of taking the door.
Speaker 2You I'm trying to go through the wall. Yeah, okay, yeah, makes sense.
Speaker 3Should we get started? Yeah, okay.
Speaker 4I didn't want to be gross because you burped, I did.
Speaker 2Very attractive.
Speaker 3Oh, matias, you're so sweet.
Speaker 4Yeah.
Speaker 1I'm more attractive when I burp yeah, you should do it more often.
Speaker 3Yeah, absolutely. I just can't do it by myself.
Speaker 2Should we start talking about movies?
Speaker 3or something we should.
Speaker 2That only I watched.
Speaker 3That only you watched. Would you like to tell me about some movies?
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3I watched kind of Heathers. From what year was it?
Speaker 21988.
Speaker 3Oh 1988.
Speaker 4It's your year. I told you it was about me, it's Heather's movie.
Speaker 3She's gonna tell you about it. And then you watched Heather's, the musical from 24?
Speaker 222.
Speaker 322. Okay, heather, would you like to hop in here and give a bad summary about your movie? Sure, speak up, but don't scream at me.
Speaker 4I don't know how to do that. This is a movie about me and my best friend Vanessa.
Speaker 3Veronica.
Speaker 4Veronica, whoops. I can't even remember my best friend's name no.
Speaker 1No, it starts with a V. Yeah.
Speaker 4Close enough, veronica. We're in high school. How many of you are there? There's three of us. Okay, there's three of me. Can you imagine?
Speaker 2Yeah, two clones.
Speaker 4My life. Would, be awful. We're all in high school and then this new guy comes, this guy that tries to pretend that he's Jack Nicholson.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 4So my best friend starts dating him or something, and I'm pretty sure that he's a serial killer, because he kills one of me, a part of you. Yeah, he kills a part of me, um, a part of me. Yeah, he kills a part of me. Um, I fell into a table.
Speaker 4I choked to death and fell into a table and then they started freaking out, veronica was freaking out more and jack nicholson was all like no, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine. Except it wasn't Jack Nicholson. I can never remember the guy's name the character or actor, both.
Speaker 2Okay. The character JD. Jd yeah, and the actor Christian Slater.
Speaker 4Christian Slater. So then some stuff happened and they decided that they wanted to kill the football team. They pretended that these two guys on the football team were lovers.
Speaker 3This is a really long bad summary, Just so you know I'll stop. I asked for a summary, not the script. Oh, I did it again Whoops.
Speaker 4This is why we don't have guests.
Speaker 3Anyways, you're giving the entire movie away. Yeah, it's it again. Whoops. This is why we don't have guests.
Speaker 1Anyways, you're giving the entire movie away. Yeah, it's double the length now.
Speaker 4Okay, I'm sorry, you can cut the whole thing out.
Speaker 3This is going to be like a.
Speaker 4I'm not talking anymore.
Speaker 3Can you wrap it up?
Speaker 4Elise. All right, christian Slater is a serial killer and he has a really weird relationship with his dad. The end, that's good.
Speaker 2It's good and I like that you didn't spoil the ending.
Speaker 3No, that was the ending.
Speaker 4I forgot what the ending was.
Speaker 3That was the ending for us, because my computer died. So did you like the movie?
Speaker 4I did enjoy the movie.
Speaker 3I also enjoyed the movie. The ending was a little abrupt, but I enjoyed the movie yeah.
Speaker 2Feels like they didn't really tie it together.
Speaker 3No, they just kind of cut it and that was it. There were no credits or anything.
Speaker 4Oh, and then they tried to kill another part of me. Well, by manipulation.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 3What did you think of the movie Matias?
Speaker 2I liked it. I don't think I've seen the whole thing before, but yes, I did enjoy it.
Speaker 3My stomach growled.
Speaker 2Can you shut up?
Speaker 3Oh, Matias, you're so sweet.
Speaker 2No, I don't know what to say. More than I liked it.
Chasing Down a Lost Friend
Speaker 3Okay. Can you tell us about the musical, then the musical, yeah. Can you tell us about the musical, then the musical, yeah.
Speaker 2I was wondering how they would be able to make a musical out of this movie, I mean, since it was like a stage play more, not an actual movie. I don't know, but I mean they did it. It was kind of the same story and it was pretty well made.
Speaker 3I still like the first one better. But I mean, was the musical not as good as the first one? What happened in the musical? Was it good?
Speaker 2it was good. I did enjoy it. I do have a favorite song this time. I will never shut up again that makes sense yeah, so that was my favorite song of this movie.
Speaker 4Oh, I thought you were saying that about yourself. He was just making a statement.
Speaker 2Yeah, he's making his statement yes, I didn't hate it, I just liked the first one better okay, hopefully we'll get around to watching it later at some point in life, I don't know do you still have the Mean Girls musical to watch?
Speaker 4Yeah, I blame Iceland.
Speaker 2It was.
Speaker 4Iceland. Okay, was Iceland in Eurovision this year?
Speaker 2I think so.
Speaker 4But they didn't make it to the end.
Speaker 2I don't remember.
Speaker 4Well, I agree with you, Matthias, that Finland was very hilarious, but I also don't agree with you, because I thought that ireland was absolutely fantastic oh and memorable yeah, I guess.
Speaker 2So if you're like a satanist or worship the devil, sure, I don't worship the devil or a satanist.
Speaker 4You do, you. He just doesn't like me because I'm a witch. Okay, and you want to get rid of all the witches? Maybe our bonfires. Don't get rid of witches how about the drowning thing? No, I don't drown, have you?
Speaker 1tried drowning, yeah, yeah okay, you didn't like it, didn't work?
Speaker 4no, not a fan. I couldn't breathe what. I just became a fish and could breathe a lot oh's weird.
Speaker 2It's time for you to go.
Speaker 3Bye Matias.
Speaker 1What was that?
Speaker 3She says Matias has no direction without you, Wait a minute.
Speaker 2That's the wrong door. Oh no, they got outside. They didn't go to their room. They're really, they're running, they're really fast. I have to stop them. I have to stop them. Okay, I have to chase them down and get them right back. So I'll be right back.
Speaker 1Bye-bye. Why does this always happen? Why does this always happen to me? Why does this always happen? Why does this always happen to me? Why does this always happen? Why does this always happen to me?
Speaker 2Yeah, so hello and welcome back, lauren and Heather.
Speaker 2Movie on thing was recorded earlier. I'm a little bit upset because of what happened earlier. I don't have Lauren here at all. She's not in another room or anything, so don't call me a kidnapper. Yes, they got away from me. They're really fast and I don't know where they went, and I've been looking for them at random places, you know where.
Speaker 2I've been thinking like if, if I was Lauren and or Heather, where would I go? First place I checked was the candy stores, and no, I weren't there. So then I just went on and I was like where else could it be? So I checked, like all the pizza places no, they weren't there either. Then it it struck me I know Lauren, I know what she loves, so that's why I went to grocery store and looked in the ketchup section and no, she wasn't even there, not even at the ketchup section. That's when you know she's really gone and I really can't find Lauren. Maybe it's there at somewhere where you know Heather, a place she likes.
Speaker 2I don't know as much about her, what she likes and not, so I know. I just know that she doesn't find funny movies. Funny, that's all I know. So I didn't go to the funny movie store because I don't think they are there and also because it closed like 10 years ago. And I always ask them why do you have a funny movie store? Just funny movies? I mean, I like funny movies, but I guess and I was there like all the time and but I guess more people are like heather and don't like funny movies, that's.
Speaker 2And I mean I don't judge. I would never judge anyone. I would never judge anyone, unless I would be like a judge or something. Then I could judge, I'd be a great judge, you know, if I would be judging, which I don't. So I'm not a judge. What am I even talking about? Who knows? Even talking about who knows? But all I know is that I really have to try to get them back, or at least lorem. I don't know where they went.
Speaker 2I really have to keep an eye open. Yeah, and I and I open. Wait a minute, I open eyes. Yes, yes, I know I'm going to find them. I'm going to. This is going to be so good when I find them and I can say I found you. So let's go back, because I don't want them to go to the police. I never checked the police because I can't find any. I'm pretty sure they can't either. So, unless they are like driving too fast or something, they get a car and drive too fast, because then the police are there somehow Every time. I don't know, because I've never been in a car that drove too fast. Don't drive too fast and don't drink and drive either. And don't drink alcohol and drive Absolutely not Okay either. And don't drink alcohol and drive absolutely not okay. So I now have 10 tips on how to find a person by open eyes.
In-Person Methods to Find Missing Persons
Speaker 2Finding a person can be challenging, but they there are several strategies that you can use to increase your chances of success. Here are 10 tips to help you. Number one social media platforms like Facebook, instagram, twitter, linkedin, use variations of their name and any known aliases Aliases, aliases, that's it, okay. So I do have Lauren on Facebook. That's like the only social media I use and I don't know. Here's the problem with that. It's how should I put this? I can't really find a person in a computer or a cell phone. I can only find her profile. I mean, I have written to her, I've been texting her, chatting, but no answer. I don't know why. Maybe she has other things to do, because I think she has been like enjoying napping in the other room here, so I don't think that's a problem. And oh, yeah, heather, she just got here earlier and she was looking for Lauren and I mean, she actually found her. She found me and confronted me about me kidnapping. Like I said last time, I knew people were trying to accuse me of kidnapping Lauren, but that's not it. So, yeah, I took Heather and put her in the same room as Lauren, so and now they're gone both of them. I really don't know. Maybe Lauren wants to talk to me, but Heather won't let her, probably.
Speaker 2Anyways, I don't think the social media platforms are going to help me, so I go over to number two People search engines. Two people search engines Utilize people search websites like Spokio, white Pages or People P-I-P-L, which aggregate public records and online data to help locate individuals. Okay, here's a similar problem as the last one. It's on the phone or computer or whatever you use, and it's not going to help me find the person because, I mean, I know where they live. I know where Lauren lives. I've been there like a couple of times. So, yeah, I know, but she's not there. I know that. I checked that too, too Way, after all the other places I checked, I did check that she's not there. So it's not helping me. None, it's not helping me. None. None Like a none. Okay, it's not helping a none and it's not helping me either. So, yeah, okay.
Speaker 2Number three google search. Conduct a thorough google search using the person's name along with any other known information, eg. Hometown, workplace, school. Okay, this is not helping because it's all online. I don't want online. Maybe I should try another one, like five tips of fingering no finding Okay, this might be a little bit more helpful.
Speaker 2So, in person, when searching for a person in person, I mean like searching for the person you know in, not in another person, but in person. Got it, person, person, person. When searching for a person in person, it often involves more direct, hands-on approaches. Here are five tips to help you locate someone in person. Number one visit known locations. Go to places where the person is known to frequent, such as their home, workplace, favorite restaurants or other regular hangouts. Talk to staff or regulars who might have seen them. Okay, this is helpful. I've been to pizza places and candy stores and all that I said, and I've been talking to people and they've been saying what are you talking about? So, yeah, maybe I should, should talk the language we have here, but no, I asked them in English, since this is an English speaking podcast and some people do actually know English in Sweden, so you should know. Okay, but no luck so far with that.
Speaker 2Number two ask around the neighborhood. Speak with neighbors, local shopkeepers and community members in the area where the person lives or was last seen. They might provide useful information or leads. Okay, yes, I should talk to more people and I will, and I'm going to talk to her neighbors, to her life partner, to her kids maybe life partner to her kids, maybe and they gonna be like, she's been gone for quite a while, quite a while. The issue was last seen with you. Why aren't you arrested yet? Okay, so that's what they told me, the ones I've been talking to so far, but I ran away from them. So, no police, you can't see any polices anywhere. So that's okay, I wasn't really worried about police people.
Speaker 2Number three check the local institutions. Visit local institutions such as hospitals, shelters, community centers or libraries. These places often have records or can provide information if the person has been there. And no, I haven't done that yet. I, I am gonna do that and yes, I don't think she's at the library, though, but maybe that's what's. Uh, maybe that's where she is, because she knows me that I wouldn't check there. But why? Because I don't think it's Heather. No, can she read? I don't think she can read actually, but who knows, maybe she wants some kids' books or something, so maybe they're there. I'm going to check.
Speaker 2Number four attend local events. Participate in community events, social gatherings or activities where the person might go. This includes clubs, religious services or public meetings. Yes, that's a good. I am pretty, pretty sure they might be at the religious services, because they seem to be american. You know, and, as you know, and as you know, all American people are very religious and go to church and all that. So I'm going to go check there and I'm going to get some crap, for the people are going to hate me for saying that about Americans. Probably Americans are going to hate me for saying that about americans. Probably, probably americans gonna hate me for that. Um, so okay, clubs, no, I don't think so. Public meetings, maybe, or maybe not, I don't know. It depends if there there's alcohol there or not, because if there's alcohol, then I'm pretty sure they will be there. Yeah, it's like with the church and the communion and all that. Okay, I'm not gonna go into that too much because that well, I don't want people to kill me yet, okay.
Speaker 2Number five, and this is the last one Use flyers and notices. Notices, notices. Use flyers and stuff. Create and distribute flyers with the person's photo and your contact information in the area where they were last seen. Post these in high-traffic areas like bulletin boards, bus stops and coffee shops Coffee shops I know they drink coffee and, yeah, maybe they're out to buy coffee, or maybe not, who knows? I don't know. I don't know where they are.
Speaker 2I don't have a very good printer. I'm going to draw some some. I'm gonna make some drawings and draw their faces, and that contains like two circles, dots for eyes and like very straight noses and smiling faces and a few hairs on their head. So I oh yeah, lauren has glasses too. So I'm, I'm and then I'm. So, yeah, we'll see if, if this is gonna work. I'm pretty convinced that this is gonna work well and I am actually a pretty good drawer. Drawer. Yes, I can draw stick figures. I'm a pretty good drawer. Okay, I can draw stick figures. So those were the five tips.
Speaker 2And the last thing it says is using these in-person approaches can be effective for gathering information and increasing the likelihood of locating the person you're looking for. Okay, a problem there, it's not just one person. So I guess I have to go through this list twice, otherwise it won't make sense. But then again, lauren is the one I want to find, but it could be good, could be positive, to find heather, so she won't go to the police or stuff. I mean, in Sweden it's okay, because you can't find the police in Sweden, so no worries there. But maybe if she goes back to America she might talk to someone there and they might somehow contact, like FBI or whatever. They have like to go get me.
Speaker 2Maybe not FBI, I don't know, I don't know which one's doing the outside of the states thing, but someone is gonna go get me from the states and I, I mean I want to go to the go a little bit freely and yeah, so maybe I should do that. Oh yeah, by the way, the States, maybe they're not even in Sweden, who knows? I really don't know where they are. Maybe they fled the country, maybe they're in another country, who knows? No one really knows. And yeah, I hope I will get at least Lauren back for next week. I can sort something out with Heather that she won't, you know, send the FBI or whatever after me. It would be appreciated if I'm not like hunted by the Americans. So yeah, I'll hope for the best and yeah, that's it.
Speaker 2Okay so I'm gonna just say one thing. I think I'm actually about done with this episode. I want to say something about this, and this is just from my heart. This is not a bit.
Speaker 2As you probably know, these last two weeks has been just a couple of episodes where I just can goof around and do silly stuff and Lauren's not here. She has been talking to me from a distance. Okay, I just felt like I wanted to say that she had COVID or something, but no, it's not that. I think she will be back Next week. So it's going to be more of a Back to normal Episode next week, hopefully, and she will explain. She has been these weeks and no, I did not kidnap her, totally not, and she's not running from me, I think. But yeah, I don't know, it's all been so sudden. So that's about it really.
Speaker 2Uh, this is kind of a cliffhanger for next week. I guess I'm gonna I'm still gonna be silly, but it's not gonna be like the 90 percent of matthias. Uh, the whole episode and the whole episode like it has been, and yeah, you should be happy about that, and yeah, I wanna end this episode with me saying that oh, yeah, it's advice time. So if your life is not depending on it. Maybe you shouldn't run away from people, you, because I mean it hurts their feelings If they're just trying to talk or something and ask like where is the candy store, and you just run away.
Speaker 2No, that's kind of mean actually. I mean just tell them where it is and they'll be happy and you can be happy that you helped the person. And, by the way, when they ask where the candy store is, maybe you can say that hey, you know what else is sweet like candy? It's this podcast that is called Roasty, toasty, ghosty and you can find it on Spotify and like all the places where you can find podcasts. And it's kind of funny, especially when there are two people there, not just one idiot talking to himself again, and then the person is going to say oh, and then the person gonna say, oh, thanks for the information. Now I go to the candy store and just ignore everything else, just said. And then and they're gonna say like bye, bye and yeah, that's about what I'm gonna say now too, so bye-bye.
