Welcome, welcome, welcome to another edition of the Pine Pony Podcast. Woop woop. This is a fantastic week. Got me, the OG, and of course, as always, Mr. Persian. What's happening? Howdy, howdy. We're going to be looking forward, doing a little preview of each of the divisions over the next month. I'm excited to start this series. Yeah, we are starting the series, taking a look at some of the, each team in each division, but we're going to do a little different this time. So we'll get into that a little bit, but with that being said, let's, let's start the show. The Pony Pony Podcast. All right. So opening up the show, we're going to get into some NFL news, some major news. We got a couple of big time signings. First off we got my guy, Jordan Love getting Get in the bag. He got 220 million up to 221 and a half million with incentives, a hundred point eight fully guaranteed with a 70 by 5 million signing bonus. So total guarantee package is 160 million. Love has your early rolling vesting guarantees. I mean, this man's got injury guarantees in 2026, 2027. So, I mean, great deal for him. This'll be a great deal for the Packers three years from now when everybody else is getting paid. Right. And we're just sitting pretty and we can pay our wide receivers. So that's, I like the deal. Yeah. I think it's a really great point. I think it's a point that a lot of people kind of forget sometimes when they look at these price tag. Yeah. They look at the price tag, they get sticker shock. I was actually surprised at how much, I guess you could see, I guess you could say sort of pushback there was in the media. With people saying like they didn't have to do this, like they've already got him under wraps for the next season. Why not just let, let, let him prove it to you again a second time and stuff like that. But I like this idea exactly for the reason that you've said is because it's a really good idea. If you think that. That this player is going to work out for you. They're going to be part of your long term plan. Go ahead and get that contract worked out as soon as you possibly can, because we've seen time and time again, especially for QBs, but every position really two or three years down the line, all of a sudden they're underpaid. If it, if it does work out with him, he's going to be underpaid. They're going to have a shot to build around him. And if it doesn't work out with him, the truth is You're going to be a square one anyway. So it's not much to lose. There's not much to lose. I mean, you look at my home's contract right now, just a couple of years after he signed it. And now the rest of the league's like, wow, he's underpaid. Yeah. Great deal. Great deal. Obviously it's a really great deal for love and his agent. They did really well with this, but also I think it's a good idea. If this is your guy for the future, go ahead and lock it in. I don't have, well, speaking of one guy from one team of the future to another team, future quarterback to a, he has agreed to a four year, 212 million contract extension with 167 million guaranteed. It's interesting enough. It's only 53 million per year where Jordan Love is on par with Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence at 55, Jared Goff's getting 53. So, I mean, I, I liked the deal for my, I mean, what do you think? Who else are going to have, I actually be the QB. I actually like this one less just because of the history that Tua himself has had with concussion. I think that he is inherently really risky. I actually didn't have a concussion last year though. No, that's true. I'll give credit where credit's due. He did take Jiu Jitsu. I'll give credit where credit's due. They said that they would do what they could to protect him when it comes to play design. And he did a lot of work on his end to check the way that he falls and try to create new sort of muscle memories for himself. I don't know to what degree he got lucky and to what degree those changes played out. But look, he didn't, he didn't get concussed. That being said. His history doesn't go away. The concussion history doesn't go away with people like that. He's still a risky player. I actually thought they might do the opposite of what they did. What they ended up doing was giving him a pretty aggressive amount of guaranteed money, but he got maybe a couple mil less per year when you talk about the annual salary. Like you were just saying he's actually kind of Underpaid versus some of the guys who also signed off season contracts. I thought they, they might be willing to pay him a little bit more annually, but with less guarantees because he is risky. But I think that this is, you know, they're, they're really not worried about that. And me personally, I think that's a mistake. I think he's a ticking time bomb and you got a ton of guaranteed money wrapped up in him. You know, maybe it works out for him. I don't think it's a mistake. This guy's not a ticking time bomb, don't you? Poo P on Tua? I spit on him. I spit, I think. I think, Hey, look, man. Tua, Tua, Tua made the moves to, to better himself. They're making the moves to better themselves. I say, why not? Because. Right. What you have right now is you have, you have a team that can go out and win. Now two is going to get a little bit better. Mike McDaniel's got to get a little bit better this season, but they can go out and win now. If you don't sign to it now, you end up in purgatory again, where you're looking for a quarterback because he's gonna go somewhere else. Yeah. You're looking for a quarterback and then you got Tyreek Hill sitting there with all that cash and all those guys and you can't do nothing. And then you're just. You get, you got nothing out of the whole thing. Your best quarterback in like a decade. I agree with you. I do think they're in a position where they should try to keep, keep the band together right now, if you will, and not try to reset or restart anything. And I mean, we're starting our, our preview series anyway. So soon enough, we'll be talking about the dolphins here. So I'll just leave it at that. And the final signing major signing DJ more get in that. This one was pretty impressive. This one was, I feel like he did a really good job here. He got a bit more both in the annual salary and certainly in the, in the amount of guaranteed money, you know, 27. 5 for the next four years. Annual, at least annual average. And then he's got 80 percent of that fully guaranteed 80%. That's, that's a lot for that position. You know, we've, we've seen that sort of thing with quarterbacks here and there, but I mean, they're making a statement about him. I, I think not only do they see him as the alpha, but they just have a ton of faith in him. And I think good for him. I mean, this is a really good car. Got to sign that new, you got to give that quarterback his weapons, you know? Well, that's, that's all we got for the news short and sweet. So we're going to get right up into the main topic. Main topic. Hey, you! So this week's main topic, we're going to start, we're going to kick off the preseason series where we will discuss every team from NFC, AFC divisions. We'll give you our thoughts and winners and. Possible outcomes and see what happens give you guys the opportunity to you know, compete with us and, you know, you can give us your season records along with ours and see who wins anyway. So with that being said, we're going to move on. We're going to kick it off. We'll start with the giants out of the NFC East. My thoughts on them are the hard knocks. We've already talked about that so many times. Have you watched any episodes yet? No, I haven't. I want to, and I I keep myself way too busy. I never get to do, I never get to watch or listen to as many things as I, I want them to fail so badly only because I hate the GM. He's got, he's a little egotistical, so we'll see how that shakes out. Has the show made you a fan of any of these players individually? None of the players really just because it's all off season. And training camp. So it's more, the focus is more on like their strategy and stuff. Yeah. So it's made me, it's made me like Brian Dable more and that's why I wanted to succeed, but I also hate them because of the GM. All right. So we're going to look at the giants and starting off, looking at the strength of schedule. They've got the 13th hardest schedule in the league. And I concur just looking at the schedule alone. I don't have them winning a lot of games. I currently I have them at six and 11, which is what their previous season was, and with what I'm seeing on hard knocks. I got a little bit of a hot take that I think day will might be on the hot seat. If he does it, you know, do a little bit better, he might not get fired this season, but for sure next season, but he could be this, this GM, he wants it his way. And and then, yeah, one of the a couple of things I wanted to discuss was a couple of key players, you know, kind of MVPs of the team, if you will. And it's definitely going to be. They're new signings Singletary and, and Daniel Jones, Daniel motherfucking Jones is, he has got to do better and he has the weapons that he does. And, but with that schedule. It's tough. I mean, they, you know, starting out, they start out with the Vikings and the commanders, which is fine, but then it's like Browns, Cowboys, Seahawks, Bengals, Eagles, Steelers. Like that's just going to be a tough stretch for them. So what do you, what do you think about the giants? What do you think about that schedule and the record that I gave out for you? Yeah, to me, when I looked over their schedule, I thought this is sneaky, just a tough fucking schedule. I don't like the looks of it for them. I initially I wanted to have them creeping more towards average, like a 70, seven and nine sort of record for them. Well, now we got 17, seven and 10. Right? Yeah. I wanted to have them at like, Nine and eight or eight and nine. I settled on seven. I think they're going to be a seven and 10 team just because the schedule's tough. I do think they improve over last year. I think that bringing in as many dudes as they brought in on the line, they're going to replace at least three of those guys that started last year. You know, Andrew Thomas is coming back. That's a huge deal for them. And I think that the offense will be much more functional with the Those offensive linemen plus Malik neighbors there to help out as a genuine big play threat, you know, any given play. I just don't think that they're going to make enough improvement though to be in the playoffs. I think they're going to end up Probably seven and 10, even though they will be a bit better than they were last year. I think it's crazy as it seems like even with the bad record they had last year, they still probably didn't deserve that many wins. I think they, they probably actually lucked out on a couple of those. So. Got any fantasy players to look out to other than, you know, Malik neighbors or, you know, which, or which one of those guys is going to be the, the fantasy guy on this team? Yeah, I do think it's going to be Malik neighbors. That's going to lead the team and targets right off from a rip. I think that not only does he have the sort of pedigree and the expectation coming out of college, but then so far. The steady drum beat has been consistent, that he's picking up the playbook, he's making plays. He's making fools out of the would be defenders trying to cover him. He's looking as as advertised so far. I do expect him to be a big deal. I think that his ceiling unfortunately is kind of capped though, playing in this offense. You know, Daniel Jones has only thrown more than 20 touchdowns once in his career. I don't see him taking a big step in that direction. And I, I think that even though Malik will have his fair share of catches and yardage, he probably won't be getting a ton of touchdowns this season. And so, you know, I, I think he's probably ends up being like a, A wide receiver too, as far as other guys, though, I do think it's really interesting who ends up winning that tight end battle. If it's going to be Daniel Ballinger, or if it's going to be Theo Johnson, I think that they're going to be sneaky, useful as someone you could pick up for free off of the waiver wire in your leagues. And, you know, those guys are going, are going to get a lot of looks. Yep. And one other thing I wanted to mention about the Giants for each team, I'll have a little bit of a prop bet for the season. It's a full season long player individual player bet. So just, just to throw it out there, you got Daniel Jones looking at 2, 849 and a half yards passing. I don't think he's going to reach that. He, he's only reached that like once and it was barely, it was barely. And then as far as Malik neighbors, 849 and a half receiving yards. I think he will reach that. I think he will go over that. He was a monster in college. I think he's going to be the main target for Daniel Jones. So, and then for Devon Singletary three and a half rushing touchdowns, I think he easily gets at least four touchdowns. They're going to lean on him heavy at the goal line, I think. Yeah, absolutely. I think that's a low number. So they're going to be prioritizing keeping Daniel Jones healthy this time, coming off of all those injuries. I don't think they're going to use them at the goal line that much. All right. So let's move on to the commanders. I have them with their strength of schedule is the 13th easiest schedule. So it's about average pack still looking at their schedule. I don't know how much better this team truly got because I don't really, we don't know what Jaden Daniels can do at the NFL level. They've got a lot of key pieces like Austin Eckler's there. Scary Terry, Jahan Dodson, which I think are all players that need to have a spectacular season. But for some reason, looking at this schedule, I still got them going like five and 12 improving one win from last year at four and 13. Yeah. What do you think, man? Yeah, I, I don't love it. There's so many question marks. This isn't even the head coach that they were going after all ops and they ended up settling for him, which I think is awkward. That's just, you know, they, they, they brought in Cliff Kingsbury, who's basically failed already a couple of times. I don't have a ton of faith in him. I do think the way that he runs his offenses does. Is a good match for what Jaden Daniels strengths were in college. So at least you got that going for you, but I, I don't have a ton of faith, particularly in that defense. I mean, they traded off their best defensive player, defensive players, halfway through last season. And so Dan Quinn, even though he's a defensive minded head coach per se, he's inherited just a lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball. They didn't do it. Also brought a bunch of Cowboys with them on the offensive side. Yeah, I do think the O Line probably is a bit better this year. I don't love it though. I literally have them at 4 and 13. Oh wow, not improving. A very sad record. Yeah, I just I don't have a ton of faith in, in what they got going on there. I'm just being honest with you. That's fair. That's fair. The one thing I would say though, is that I do think Jaden Daniels is going to run a lot. He is going to be a fantasy stud, even if the offense is not that great. I think that he himself will be worth more than the other pieces. I, I lost a lot of faith in Johan Dodson after his stinker of a season last year. I think McLaurin is another year older. He came into the league older than most people realize he's already like 29. I think it is. And is he really going to carry the offense on his own? I doubt it. I just, you know, I, I think he'll be good. Well, and you got Brian Robinson eaten, eaten up some of those touches too. Anyways. Like, I mean, this isn't going to be Austin Eckler of like two, three years ago. No, I think Austin Eckler has shown over the past couple of seasons. He's, he's not the same dude anymore. Yeah. And so for the, the commanders prop bets that I'm liking, I've got Jaden Daniels. 3, 025 passing yards. I think he's definitely, I think he could go over that in my opinion with, with Cliff as the, as the OC especially, I just think they're going to be down a lot. So he's going to have to pass and then Austin Eckler with 400 rushing yards. I think he hits the over on that. He's only not hit that like two seasons, like one season, cause he didn't play. It seems really low, but I mean, even with Brian Robinson, I still think he had Jesse Palmer eating at his time last year too. So then he got well over that and then neighbors, I think is going to get five receiving touchdowns. Okay. And so the over under is four and a half for him. Yes. Okay. I got you. I agree with that. I said that one differently than all the other ones. All right. Anything you wanted to add on, on the commander's prop prop bets? Anything you, you care to judge me on? Yeah, I do like the, the, I can't remember what this specific number was, but I do like the over for rushing yardage for Jane and Daniels. He passing, passing. No, no, no. I'm just saying I thought you meant, is there anything I wanted to add that I saw? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're good. You're good. Yeah. Yeah. I don't remember what the specific number was, but I expect him to be in that 850 to 900 range. I think that he has come out multiple times now and said that he wants to break 500. He wants to break that rushing record. And I think that. You, you can smash that over. As long as he stays healthy, he's gonna be over that. It's 4 99 and a half. So five. So 500. Yeah, I would, I would agree. Absolutely. Love the over. Yeah. So moving from the commanders to. America's team, Dallas Cowboys, they've got a strength of schedule, the 10th hardest, the 10th hardest schedule. So pretty tough schedule. They've got a lot of question marks. I mean, Dak is looking for a payday. So, you know, and also another year older. And as we just said, a lot of his offensive line is gone. They don't have, they don't have a running back. That's worth a shit. In my opinion, this team's in a lot of trouble, but they, you know, the way the Cowboys fans spin it, they're really not because they've gotten Zeke. So I think key players. It's going to be Dak, CD lamb, the whole running back group, Michael Parsons is going to have to do some damage because they got rid of players on defense. And Devante, Devante Lawrence, opposite of Michael Parsons. He's going to need to really step it up if, if, if Dallas wants to have high hopes for even a playoffs, but they could get there record wise. I got them going 10 and 7, so 2 games less than last year. They went 12 and 5 last year. Yeah, I basically agree with you. They didn't do jack shit and free agency. I wasn't even a huge fan of their draft picks. Although, you know, the big question marks, who knows? But the thing is that. They didn't bring dudes in yet. They lost at least a couple offensive linemen. They lost Michael Gallop. And you're like, Oh, well, that's not like a huge piece for them. Well, the thing is that they don't have other depth pieces. You know, there's Brandon cooks. Who's old as hell. Now there's CD lamb. Obviously he'll get his, but then they've got Ryan Flournoy, a six round pick. Who the hell is that? And it, and, and they've got Jalen Tolbert who was I think a fifth round pick the previous year showed Jack shit last year. These are the dudes they've got. If, if they lose one of their dudes, when they, these are the guys literally getting in there on three reside wide receiver sets. I mean, Michael Gallup was a bigger loss than people realize on defense. They lost. I think it was one really good piece, but the point is just, they didn't bring anyone into replace what they lost. It's the same team, except a little bit worse. And I think the record is going to reflect that. I agree with you that the schedule was hard. When I looked at it, I just, I just, there was so many games where I was like, they could totally lose that game. Like I wouldn't be surprised at all. I think when it, I think when it all comes down, said and done, I actually had them going nine and eight. You know, basically a playoff bubble team and I think they take a step back this year. Man, couldn't agree more. Yeah, it's kind of hard. So, what's fantasy wise? Fantasy? Who you got leading the pack in this team? Yeah, I definitely think the fantasy MVC, MVP is going to be, cd lamb, I think that he might actually get more targets than he did last year, which was an insane amount of usage And particularly he gets a ton of these deep crossers and just a pretty good air yardage in general He makes a ton of plays after the catch. I just love him to make Huge plays at once lots of lots of yardage I just don't think he's going anywhere as far as one of the elite fantasy options that being said I think the best value fantasy wise is going to be Jake Ferguson. Like I just said they lost. Yes weapons They didn't gain any, you know, they brought back Zeke. He's a nothing burger, but they lost Tony Pollard. He's a Great, really, really good pass catching back. And so the thing is that those targets are going somewhere and Ferguson did show that he was very, very useful around the goal line last year. I think not only will he get a uptick in targets, but I think he'll keep that same above average sort of Goal line usage. And I think that you'll have big weeks from him and you'll end up really happy with where you get him in your drafts. Absolutely. I like that little tidbit. I forgot about him. So prop bet wise, I'm liking, as I said, I think Dak, Dak's going to struggle this season. So there. 4050 and a half passing yards. I think he's well under that. Well under that Zeke 525 and a half rushing yards. I think he's under that just because a, I don't think he's going to get the touches and B when he does, it's not going to be, it's probably, you know, a couple of explosive plays, but mostly. Just a few yards here and there, and then CD lamb a hundred thirteen hundred and a half receiving yards. I think he's well over that because he's the only option other than Jake Ferguson. Yeah, I agree with you on the Zeke under McCarthy has come out multiple times now and said very directly, like, we don't have a bell cow this year. It's going to be a rotation and provided all the guys stay healthy. He's expecting a rotation of Dowdle, Zeke, and Dews Vaughn. And so that like Zeke's usage is not going to be as big as people are, are assuming. I think that particularly when it comes to those rushing yard props that you just talked about, I think that he's actually more likely to get used like at the goal line when they need to pick up a third and short, maybe some third down to work, which doesn't. Go into that rushing prop anyways, I think that the first and second down guy more often than not is going to be doubtful. And so I, I, I love that under for total rushing yards for Zeke. Which is interesting. So his, the bet for touchdowns is five and a half for Zeke. Yeah. I, I think if I, if I were to bet that I would bet the over, but I really just don't want to touch any Zeke overs to be honest with you. Oh yeah, a hundred percent. I do think he makes sense as the goal line back though. To be fair though, that five and a half, I mean, he's hit that every year except for last year. Yeah, no, he is still a really good pile pusher. So like I said, if I was going to bet it, I'd bet the over. Just don't want to bet any Zeke overs this year. I really don't. Right. Absolutely. All right. Go into the Eagles, who I think will be the division winner. And for these reasons. They have the ninth easiest schedule. They have the easiest schedule in the entire division. I still think they'll lose quite a few games. And I think they actually just go the same as last year, 11 and six being the division winner. Key players I think are, are the new guy, Saquon. He's got to perform, especially because of all, all what they signed him for. And then Devonta Smith and A. J. Brown, they've, they've, you know, I think they've, they did well last year, but I think they can do better this year. And so those are my key players for, for this squad and defense as a whole could do better. And I think Nick Sirianni could be a candidate for heat, heat seat, getting the warm seat, warming it up this season. If they don't produce in the playoffs, yeah this is kind of a weird one for me. I I'm kind of like two different minds when it comes to the Eagles. I think the players have come out and expressed, I don't want to say frustration, but, but they've been kind of open about, wow, this is a lot of change. You know, Hertz has come out to say 95 percent of the playbook is brand new and that it's been kind of a uphill battle for him to get it all down, to really feel comfortable with the, with the new plays and everything. I mean, it's, we're still in training camp, so I got to think eventually things click for that team. I do think that they needed this for the offense. I do expect the offense to be better at least at some point this season. But I did think they kind of had a harder schedule. I actually have them at 10 and seven, but yet I still have them winning the division. So I do think that they're shooing for the playoffs there. Yeah, you can't believe everything in training camp, right? I mean, surely they've got that playbook memorized by now. Man, you'd be surprised, man. A lot of these athletes are nuts. Call of duty. Yeah. They're all playing college football right now. They're in training camp at daytime and then playing college football at night. So fantasy wise, who are you looking at on the Eagles? There's a lot of people that could potentially be good. I think that the Eagles have a little bit of a sort of like too many mouths to feed problem. Because when you look the past, the past three years Dallas Goddard has been one of only four tight ends to get more than 20 percent of the target share. And so he's going to get a certain amount and then there's Devonta Smith. There's AJ Brown, obviously. And the thing is that they keep talking over and over again about, they want to get Barkley into the passing game. You know, they went and paid a decent amount for Barkley. I think they expect to use him a ton. And so it's kind of like, I think. They might all eat into each other a little more than we want. And I'm a little bit arrowed down on all of their sort of fantasy projections. That being said, I think AJ Brown has the huge upside. I think he's the one. If you go in for that high upside home run swing, he's the guy you want to, you want to put your money on. And I think that they are going to do less of the tush push and they're probably going to let Hertz do the design a bit less. And so I think, I think that the Hertz situation is also arrow down for me. I think that I'm just not, I'm just not loving these people. As far as fantasy MVP would go, like one guy I'd put my money on. If I had to, it'd be AJ Brown. Well, good thing you said that because as far as prop bets, I've got him receiving more than 1, 250 yards. I think he's going to get the ball a lot. And I also think Saquon Barkley is going to go over a thousand yards rushing and get seven touchdowns. So a thousand and a half rushing yards. So he'll get a thousand and one and six and a half touchdowns. He'll get seven. I think he's going to get seven, seven or more. Yeah. I think I would be interested in seeing, I kind of forgot to take a look at this myself, but I'd be interested in seeing what the passing prop would be for Barkley, because I do think they're dead serious that they want to pass to him a lot. He is a good receiving back and you know, they brought him in for a reason. I think that. I think that there's a good chance that he has a ton of receiving yards this season. So his receiving yards is 299 and a half and then two and a half receiving tutties. Yeah. See, I expect him to get like 400, maybe even 450 yards passing. I love the over personally. Right. One last thing I want to mention about the Eagles in the preseason, two guys that I'll be looking at, cause I'm a Clemson Tiger head, Joseph Engada and Will Shipley look to see if they can, you know, get some, some, some clocked minutes in preseason this year. So NFC East is done. Division winner is the Eagles again moving on to the NFC West. We'll start with the out West and the desert where the cacti. Are there and people are being stuck to them. The Arizona Cardinals, they have a strength of schedule. Middle of the pack, 16th easiest schedule or set foot 15th hardest. Yeah. So nothing crazy there. They should, they should be able to come away with, with some wins here. I think they were going to get to seven and 10 this season. They were four and 13 last season. They they've added some pieces. Kyler Murray is going to be healthy. Seven and 10 Call of Duty sucks this year. Key players are going to be obviously Marvin Harrison, Jr. I cannot wait to see what this kid can do. Kyler Murray, cause he's coming back off an injury and also the, the third part of this monster, James Conner. Let's see if we see if he can get going again. This could be a really exciting team to watch offensively. Yeah. Yeah. I agree with a lot of what you said. I actually had them at eight and nine. I think that they basically creep up to creep up to right at average, right about four, you know, a 500 team. And. I just, more than anything, I was just impressed with what Gannon did his first season, and I think his second season in, we're gonna see even more good things from him. The offensive line is kind of a, a weird sort of situation going on because last year, they actually Were one of the better offensive lines in the run game, but they were not very good in the past game and so I I would like to see him improve in the past game before i'd put too much stock in the offense overall But you gotta love the addition of marvin harrison there. I think that adding a guy who could play Like all three positions wide receiver wise and say Jones doesn't hurt really good depth piece for them. If Michael Wilson doesn't work out or if there's an injury to one of their other pass catchers, I think that they will improve. Ultimately, they're going to be more like a borderline sort of team, both borderline 500 and borderline on. If they get, they're more like a bubble team than a sure shot to be a playoff team, even though I think that they're. Arrow up in the general sense, right? Completely agree. Fantasy wise. You're looking at Marvin Harrison to to get all the, to get all the points. Yeah, I like his projection as a rookie, certainly. But I gotta tell you, I think that there's so much hype for Marvin Harrison that as far as values go, and like where he's gonna go in your draft, I think he's gonna go a lot higher than you might expect. Oh, yeah, he's so stupid. So I hesitate to say like, he would be like a fantasy target for me necessarily. I certainly I love him at Dynasties. He does a lot of He's, I think he's going to be a stud for many years to come, but I actually love the tight end. And I'm blanking on his name last year. He kind of broke out. Oh, Greg Dorch. No, no, no, no. They're tight end. Oh, sorry. Trey McBride. There you go. Sorry. Sorry. I'm a very old man. Okay. But yeah, Trey McBride, I, he's like 22 Trey McBride, I think is not only going to get a ton of targets in that underneath stuff, but I also think he's going to get a ton of usage in around the goal line, you know Those back of the end zone fade shots and stuff. He's just a a mountain of a human being. And he's also great in as a blocker, which means he never has to come off of the field. And I just think that he's going to end up getting a bunch of work. And even though he had kind of a breakout. I expect him to be a value for you where you're going to be able to get him at least in redrafts. Absolutely. Prop wise, I like Kyler Murray for over 3, 388, 85 yards passing. He's hit that well over every single season except for last year and the year before for obvious reasons. Injuries and whatnot. Call of duty was, was really good back then. War zone just came out. And then Marvin Harrison, I'm really liking it. So give me him take the over on five and a half touchdowns and over a thousand yards. Yeah, nice. So that's where I stay. I'm really liking this, this team this year and I'm probably going to eat crow though. So I remember looking at the Connor props too. I like the Connor overs. They drafted Trey Benson, but Trey Benson's a little bit more of like a developmental guy, and they do not expect to bring back Conor next year, which means they're just gonna wear his ass into the ground. They're gonna use him a lot. He's, he's great as a goal linebacker anyway, so I really love particularly his touchdown overs. I think that, that he's going to smash. Okay, going to the 49ers. One thing I'm looking at is oh, did you give, did you give, you did, you gave, yep. Okay. Sorry. So start that over, cut that out. So go on to the 49ers. One thing I'm looking at is Ricky Pearsall and his intended use, especially with all the drama. That we've got going on with contracts. So much juicy strength of schedule. Why so much juicy drama? So something else that's not as juicy is their strength of schedule. It's very middle of the pack at the 18th position easiest. So I again, predict them to go 12 and five, just like they did last season. But however, green Bay will get their revenge. I think they play green Bay in a game. Green Bay is going to win this game. Yep, they play at Green Bay on November 24th. So circle that circle that date pencil that date in key players for me funny enough It's Debo Brandon Iuke in in Bosa Nick Bosa Defensively, man, he's got to bring it again this year. He can't let off the gas pedal Oh, he's what you think about these 49. I also think this is gonna be the division winner again Yes, I agree. They were going to be my pick for division winner. I think that they actually might be a bit better than they were last year. I certainly don't mind bringing in Ricky Pearsall. We'll have to see what happens with Iuke and Samuel. There's been so much talk and so many rumors about them being traded, but the thing is that as days tick on, no one's traded. If they keep those guys in the fold, man. That offense is going to be absolutely humming. You're talking about pretty being in the same exact offensive scheme for now, the third year in a row, young guy, who's managed to improve at least in little ways each season. And I think that the sky's the limit for them. I actually have them at 13 and four, which is pretty aggressive. You know, prediction, but I think that that's how it's going to play out. I think they're going to say 17, you know, No, I don't, I don't, I don't know about that. They'll slip up along the way. I'm sure. But I do think that they are absolutely a contender. Yeah. On November 24th. Yeah. November 24th. You know what? They'll have a slip up. Otherwise they're going to be kicking ass and taking names. I think that they bring back the most important parts on defense. You already talked about Bosa, but Fred Warner, I absolutely love and. I'm forgetting the name of their star cornerback too, but but basically the most important He could play everything around town But yeah, I think that's my fantasy mvp on this team I do agree with you though with that It is pretty interesting to see how things are going to shake out with that third wide receiver spot Juwan jennings it has looked good when they have called upon him and used him in the past But they spent a first round pick on ricky pierceau a guy that a lot of people thought Think could be the heir apparent to Brandon or Devo Samuel, whoever ends up leaving next year or however that plays out. And maybe he is the guy in three receiver sets right off the rip. I think that it'll be interesting to see how that, that part goes. Absolutely. Prop bet wise, I'm really like it. I mean, Purdy one and a half rushing touchdowns. I mean, he got two last year. Like certainly he's going to get two this year. Jam that over. And then Kendall 750 receiving yards. I think he'll grab that this year as well. I feel like that guy's just a machine. Sometimes I hate the 49ers. Let's move on. Let's move on. You got any prop bets for them? You got everything. I do actually my personally myself, I actually did put money on the Elijah Mitchell over for yardage. Shanahan has come out and said that what he plans to do this year is not that he's going to use McCaffrey less, but he's actually going to use McCaffrey less as a runner. Earlier in the season, meaning his plan is to purposely try to keep him healthy. The first half of the season. And then when, when it's crunch time later in the season, and of course the playoffs, then they're going to use the crap out of him, but they're going to have him be receiving back sort of specialist more so this year. And they're going to give Elijah Mitchell more of the first and second down work. And he actually has. Like a 95 percent rating when it comes to player usage, meaning that he doesn't lie about these things very often. I think Elijah Mitchell really is going to get more work this year, not just when McCaffrey gets injured. So it, a lot of places don't even have backup running back props like that. But if you find Elijah Mitchell prop, You should take it. All right. Oh, I like that. I'm going to be looking at that. The going to the Rams. You know, they brought in, brought in some guys on defense, which I think is going to be their key players this year. Jared verse and Braden Fisk take it over for the retired Aaron Donald. That's a big piece that they're going to have to replace. Offense is going to be totally fine. Puka Nuku is going to hum strike the schedule. 17 easiest. So in the middle of the pack, I do think that it's hard to say, but I think they're going to be nine and eight. Like they're going to fall off this season by one game. I think they will be good, but I just think with the schedule and the defense and not having Aaron Donald you know, Puka is going to be one year older. So everybody's going to be keen and they're going to, they're going to say, Hey, we got to guard this guy. We got to figure this guy out. So. You know, they could regress by one game and be on that fringe bubble playoff team. So I think this is the first one where we completely agree. Like I literally have them at nine and eight, which I think is what you said. And I think that they're going to be like a bubble team as well. I think that the defense is going to take a step back. I'm not personally a big believer in Braden Fisk. I don't think that he's going to be a needle mover for them. Losing Aaron Donald certainly will be a needle mover for them. I do like the sort of. Projections on the other side of the ball, though, I think that they're going to end up being behind more than, than they were last year. And so I think they're going to end up passing the ball more. One guy that it seems like is kind of getting lost in the shuffle and really falling in drafts, at least in best balls that I've done is Matthew Stafford. I think Matthew Stafford is going to get a ton of pass attempts, a ton of yardage, touchdowns. Basically all those projections I think should be. Kicked up a notch and last year He showed no signs of falling off. I mean, he absolutely balled out last year and they were lucky enough where the defense was good enough to where they could just run the ball a ton with Kyron Williams. I basically expect Kyron Williams to take a step back, especially How early they, they drafted Blake Korm. I think he's going to get mixed in more. Whereas with the passing game, I really liked the projections for Matthew Stafford and Cooper cup. I agree with you about Puka Nukui is not catching anyone off of guard this time. And I think that he might actually draw more double coverage and sort of those bracket coverages than Cooper cup will. And I actually think that Cooper cup might actually come into this year a little bit underestimated. So. Those are the kind of the guys that I'm looking at from a fantasy perspective, at least as far as value goes. Okay. Yeah. Prop wise, obviously I still like Puka to get over 1125 and passing yards. And like you said, Cooper cups prop for receiving is 900 and a half. He could, he could definitely get over that for sure. Six and a half receiving touchdowns. The, that could be pushing it. So I almost would not touch that one or stay, or, or if you're going to, you know, hit the under, cause you know, Pukunuku is going to take some of that stuff and then moving on to the last team, the Seattle Seahawks strength of schedule is. 15th easiest. I think, I think Gino Smith is the guy that I'm looking at on this team to, to, he's got to play better. He's got to play as well as he did when Canalis was his coach. But they've got a whole new setup there. No Pete Carroll as a coach. So it just, you know, another key players, coaching staff, coaching staff for me. So record wise, I have them dropping to seven and 10 from the previous year of nine and eight. Yeah, and I don't think Gina is going to perform. Yeah, this one is hard for me to project because it's so hard to know what homeboys going what homeboys bringing in from Washington it's hard to predict how that's going to play out in the nfl. One thing I know for sure though is He's going to be passing more. They were, I think, second in the league in rush attempts last year. I think they're not going to be rushing that much this year. I think that they're going to be passing a lot. One player I think will benefit particularly from the coaching change is DK Metcalf. He is such a big, strong target. And last year, when you look at how he used Robo Doomsday, there was a lot of Penix plays where he told Penix like the offensive strategy for the entire team was throw the ball up there and let your receiver make a play. And I think when you look at the sort of size and frame that that Tyler Lockett and that Jackson Smith and Jig has versus DK Metcalf. I think it's pretty obvious. Metcalf is the guy that is going to get a lot of those jump ball opportunities like that. And, you know, he's a tank of a human being, so he'll win enough of those. And I think that I like his projections and I like, I like for him to be more valuable than he's been the past couple of years under the new machine. As far as record, I think they're going to be eight in nine. Which is similar to what they did last year, I believe, but I just see them as a hard, a hard team to project. I honestly would not be shocked if. They actually were a playoff team or if they were just like a 5 1 team, but I'm just gonna hedge and say 8 9 for now. Yeah, completely agree. Completely agree. Prop wise, I was looking at Geno Smith under 3, 425 yards. And then otherwise maybe, maybe DK, like you said, but he's got, he's projected 999. So that's like you said, that's a tough one. So, so probably probably stay away from Seattle, stay away from Seattle. I particularly liked the Ken Walker unders. So I think that that not only are they going to be running the ball less. Under the new regime, but also I think it makes sense that what's his, I'm forgetting his name, but they drafted last year. The other running back in the mix will take more of that work. So they spent a second round pick, but Shane Waldron really just had him as a backup. I think that he's going to get more work probably this time around. Charbonnet, that's who I was thinking of. Charbonnet, Zach Charbonnet. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So I really like the Walker unders cause there's just a ton of ways that he could go under this year. Absolutely. Okay. Well, there you have it NFC East and West next week. We will have a friend of the show on and we're going to talk NFC East. North and south. So stay tuned for that. But before we go, before we end the show, let's talk a little bit about the current events, the Olympics, the metal count, man, United States is in six. They've got four gold, 11 silver, 11 bronze. They do have the most metals, but not gold. They're trailing Japan by three. And you know, what's really sad about this all? They, the USA did not metal in shooting. You would have figured with all this talk about weapons and guns and all these people talking about my rights and all this, that we would have somebody good at shooting. And apparently we don't, no one wants to be good at Olympic shooting. I mean, half of us are holding, but none of us are practicing, you know, I'm telling you, man, I'm telling you the women took home the gold in gymnastics, no surprise there. The men took home the bronze in gymnastics. That was surprising. They had the one guy with the glasses. Everyone's calling the, the pommel horse geek. Cause he like, that was his only event. So he sat there for like three hours just to do 45 seconds of an event. And he killed it. He crushed it. He crushed it. What else was exciting was women won won the bronze in rugby. So that was pretty cool, man. Rugby is. It's good stuff. If you haven't ever watched rugby before, you should, you should check it out. It's like football, but, but no, no pansies, you know, no helmets here. Just me on me tackling. What else? What else? Oh, swimming. Yeah. Yeah. Swimming's been okay. There, there, there apparently is a big issue with the pool that because it's so shallow that the current Is actually slowing all of the swimmers down. It's crazy. Who would have thought? Who would have thunk? I, I will say this though. The, the, All of the actual competitions have paled in comparison when you talk about entertainment value to the, the sort of side drama that's going on. First of all, the Gojira performance was better than any of the competitions that I saw. It was so epic. That was the most entertaining part of the whole thing so far. I loved it. The performance was great. And how it was like Yeah, it was awesome. It was so well done. It was a lot to even dream up, but then to pull it all off as well as, as everyone did, you know, it was like, wow, that just, they nailed it. Not just the band, but clearly there's a lot of people involved there. Wait, Well done, bravo, bravo. Also the shit show of the opening ceremony with the, are they, are they mocking the last supper? Are they not? There's like a dude with his junk out. There's a guy that's half naked, he's in blue body paint. There, there's like a threesome scene. What are they? I don't know. That was great. So that's supposed to depict, like, like one of the gods, you know? Yeah. Nothing to do with the last supper. Dionysus, I think it's his name. Yeah. Dionysus. There's a lot of confusion. There's a lot of angry Christians thinking that they're being mocked or whatever. I think what it is is I think a lot of. Christians are butting up against the reality that Christianity borrowed from a lot of other things that was before Christianity. And so when you have symbols of Greek mythology, people assume that it's about the Last Supper. I don't think it was. I honestly don't know, but the thing is that whatever it was they were doing, they were definitely pushing the envelope with the nakedness. There's a kid there. I'm not so sure it was appropriate for a general audience, but it was kind of cool, whatever it was. Oh, it was great. It was great. It was great. I mean, the dude riding on the horse, man, across the water, that was sick. I definitely noticed a dick that was just hanging out. That was definitely a penis that that's just hanging out. Well, and then to, to put a bow on that, you had LeBron James holding the, holding the flag. Like he was crossing the Delaware on that boat, man. He was with all the rain and stuff. Like that was hilarious. King James. Why not? Yeah. Well, so there you have it. Well, we got, I think one more week of, of of the Olympics. I can't believe it's only two weeks. Yeah. Unfortunately we, we've got. Nothing but competitions left and no more opening ceremonies left. Well, we do have the closing ceremony, so there is that and, oh, I didn't even think about that. More antics on the way. I bet they did su they did suspend the triathlon in the shit river. So the shit river, like what? Yeah, the si the cyan. Remember how, how it's so toxic. And people were going to schedule a shitting in it. We talked about it several times, several times on this podcast. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, there you have it. As always, you can bicker with us or tell us what we did wrong. In the email at pond pony podcast, 22 at gmail. com or hit us up on threads or Instagram at pine pony podcasts. That's right. See you next week. Are you an angry Christian? Are we heathens? Tell us, tell us why. Hasta la vista.
