Jason:

Welcome, welcome, welcome to another edition of the Pine Pony Podcast. Hey, it is me, the og, and as always, we got the fantasy uncle. What's happening in Persian? Did you have a good labor day?

Pershin:

Howdy. Howdy. I did. I was toiling away. High hoe. High hoe. But you know. Money's always a helpful, so I don't mind at all. I hope that you enjoyed your holiday, Mr. Strangston.

Jason:

I did. I did. It was a sad weekend as Clemson lost to Georgia. They got smoked, but we'll get into that in just a second. Yeah. Otherwise we are officially on game day week for the NFL. So let's go ahead and start the show.

The Pony Pony Podcast.

Jason:

So with, before we get into the NFL talk, because we're going to do the little bit of a preview of a few games that we think are pony games of the week, let's talk into college football real quick in Florida state. Loses again. They lost again. And DJ looked even worse than he did in the first game. My man was missing dudes wide open in the end zone. He overthrew him into the stands. He was terrible, terrible. They are effectively. Oh, and two on their season. Oh, and two in the conference. So not only are they out of any chance at being ranked high enough to get into playoffs, which is a 1 percent chance right now, they are, have no chance at winning the ACC unless for whatever reason, a bunch of teams lose two conference games.

Pershin:

Yeah. They would need like all the top teams to falter like they already have.

Jason:

Yes. So they are in the complete shit show. So with that being said, Even though Clemson lost to Georgia, the number one team, and we looked bad doing it. We, everything's still out in front of us. We can still win the ACC. We can still make it into the playoffs, which if you win the ACC, you'd be the fourth, one through four, you'd be one of the four ranked highest, so you would have a bye week. So, you know, this game, it means something, but it doesn't, it really doesn't mean anything right now.

Pershin:

I thought that Miami looked really good though. What do you think of Miami? Yeah,

Jason:

they did look really good. However, though, I think that might be the biggest

Pershin:

threat.

Jason:

We are talking about a Florida team who did not go to a bowl game last year. So that's

Pershin:

sure. I mean, they were not very good. They came into this season, not ranked and not even like being considered, not even being considered in that discussion from what I can tell. And the crazy thing is, is that Florida state, you know, just to kind of circle back to that for a second is. My understanding just on a little bit that I've heard from like sports radio is that the expectations were sky high for Florida state coming into the scene. And so for them to come out, for them to come out that flat, particularly, you know, ukulele boy is like, Ooh, that's rough. It's, it's rough. You know, the way that. Things ended for them last season was obviously disappointing for Florida state fans. And then to start off like this yeah, sorry guys. So, you know,

Jason:

yeah, it's interesting. So Miami did look good. They, they did what they were supposed to do. They were supposed to beat the crap out of Florida and they did. So they do have like the rest of the season. Isn't very challenging for them. So I expect to see them at the top of the ACC. You know, Clemson, we'll see if the offense decides to play better than they did against Georgia. So we'll see. We'll see. Other notable games that happened LSU and USC, USC top the number 13 ranked LSU, which that's pretty interesting. As we already said, Boston College beat Florida State. And that was kind of it. Everything else kind of went the way it should. The Notre Dame beat Texas A& M. That was close.

Pershin:

Yeah. I feel like Texas A& M actually played them really well for the majority of that game. I was able to watch most of the Notre Dame, Texas A& M game, the Miami. Florida game. And then the unfortunately the Clemson Georgia game, I saw the second half of the Clemson Georgia game. And my understanding is that the first half was actually really close or much closer. And like, as soon as I turned in, as soon as I tuned in was the moment that shit was just falling apart. It was like play after play of just like, Oh my God. So really rough showing a really hope that they can. Bounce back and that they could, you know, execute and, you know, you know, be a contending sort of caliber team. But I'll just say really quickly that, you know, what I've seen from my buff so far, also very disappointing. You know, I, I kind of knew like things were expectations were too high when We kind of realized how chaotic and and shit showy the the actual coaching was and the kind of the oh, man The locker room dynamics and everything last season, I kind of knew to kept my expectations low, but I was thinking, you know, maybe the superstar players like Shador and Travis Hunter, maybe they'll actually just kind of carry the team and they actually did look good, both of those players, at least, but it's just not enough. I mean, there's just so much. Like sloppiness. And it doesn't look like these kids are well organized at all, particularly on defense. And it's like, what the hell's going on? I think it's all going to fall apart. And I think prime is probably just going to quit at some point this season.

Jason:

I don't think he's going to know what they're saying. This is what they're saying. Now, Florida state's coach on the hot seat, going to get fired at the end of the season. Prime's kids are going to go to the NFL. He's going to go to Florida state.

Pershin:

Oh, wow. I don't know, man. I feel like, I feel like no big school's gonna want to touch him after Like the shit show. Oh

Jason:

bro, Florida,

Pershin:

after the season at Colorado, Florida

Jason:

State will wanna do anything to get positive attention on their way. I

Pershin:

don't know that the attention's gonna be positive anymore. I think people are starting to see, listen, man, see, see the clown show for what it is. It's been entertaining, but. At some point you got to produce. I mean, you know, you're basically like Stephen A. Smith with a headset at this point. You know what I mean? Like you got it. Absolutely. You're going to have to actually get some coaching done there, but at any rate, that that's all the thoughts I have on college.

Jason:

Yeah. Yeah. It's a, it's still going to be an entertaining season. So we'll see what happens. Let's get into the NFL. So we got six games this week. Then we're going to preview it. Likely that's going to be the format for our Minnesota every week is we'll just preview six games that we think are the games of the week and go through, you know, point spread pop bets and anything else about the game that Persian wants to talk about fantasy wise. So let's go ahead and do that.

Main topic. Thingamajig.

Jason:

So first game, let's start with the Thursday night game this week. Chiefs versus Raiders

Pershin:

right off the rip AFC championship rematch. Yeah,

Jason:

point spread is Kansas City by three over under 46 and a half. What do you think is so far on that game? What do you like man? Wait, he thinks it'll win. I think Kansas City is going to win. I

Pershin:

think that. At home. I don't let Derek hear

Jason:

you

Pershin:

say

Jason:

that.

Pershin:

I think at home, I think that there's far more question marks with the Ravens right now than there are with the chiefs. I understand they lost Jerry's s need, but aside from that. They really just have added things to bolster their team. Whereas with the Ravens, they're, they're three best offensive linemen, or at least arguably their offense, best offensive lineman gone, they got Derrick Henry, which I feel like is a wildcard at this age and you know, just, yes, I am absolutely ages that I will, I will admit that. And. They, they got a couple guys, I think Kyle Hamilton Matt Ibuki, who's, who's going to be playing week one, but is already dealing with some injuries, some minor stuff that they're playing through already. And I just feel like there's, there's a question marks here. I, I've already talked about it before, but I really want to look and see how is that offensive line going to respond to Chris Jones? And. I'm forgetting his name. They've got another good pass rusher, but at any rate that's kind of what I'm looking for I want to see how that dynamic plays out My prediction is that the the chiefs are going to come out ahead in the home game I like the chiefs by six points So I am taking the over on the point spread It's, this is great though. I just, I just will quickly say as an aside, I feel like the NFL really nailed it this year with the first, like two, three, four weeks, having so many, like really good matchups. I think that, I think they really, they really knocked it out of the park with how the schedule came out. As far as like anything specific that I would want to bet on or that I would. I would kind of be looking at you know, wagers or anything like that. I think that there's a good chance here that Rashad Bateman comes in like bare minimum, like a 3, 000 player, a 3, 500 player, if you're doing like DFS and you're looking for someone that you could plug in. To so that you could fit your really expensive pieces. I think that that's a guy you can look at. He's he's clearly the second wide receiver. It's going to be Zay flowers. And then it's going to be him. I think that he has a chance to surprise the share. They've been talking him up. His, the vibes have been really good all off season. And as soon as he does have a big game, you know, that price has gone way up. So just, just someone that you might want to consider as a cheap budget guy.

Jason:

Yeah, I agree. I mean, I think the Chiefs are going to win this game just because I can't, I can't imagine them losing this game. Week one, ready to rock and roll. Everybody's there. Got a lot of new pieces. So yeah, I like this Chiefs by three for sure. For me on the prop bets, Underdog has a gimme pick of Travis Kelsey getting half a point, half a rushing yard or half a receiving yard. Oh, hey o. So, you know, hop on that for sure. And then justice Hill, I thought, you know, getting more than 14 and a half rushing yards is pretty doable for him.

Pershin:

I think so, especially that if we're expecting them to be trailing in the second half, I think you were going to see more justice Hill and a little bit less Derek Henry. So,

Jason:

right, you know, cleaning up exactly. Yeah. So moving on to the, what I think is the most controversial game, the Packers versus Eagles, the Friday night game, everybody's all pissed that they got to pay for this peacock game or whatever. And also I think it's just kind of weird that it's in Brazil where neither one of them can wear their home colors. Green.

Pershin:

You know,

Jason:

so

Pershin:

they said the Packers are going to be wearing green.

Jason:

Well, that's interesting because green is associated with like gangs down there.

Pershin:

Yeah.

Jason:

I, I don't know what, so that's why the Eagles are wearing black. And I, that's why I was saying. Eagles are wearing black and the Packers are wearing all white with green accents.

Pershin:

Yeah, I don't know what the true story is because Josh Jacobs was the one that said on his podcast that it was had to do with gangs. But the, the Packers are going to be wearing green and the Eagles are going to be wearing black. So I guess the NFL is not trying to stop anyone from wearing green. I don't know. I don't know. But at any rate, I do think that this is, it's going to be a good game. I think it's going to be a little bit, a little bit nicer. It's going to be, what's the word? Well, hold up.

Jason:

So as of yesterday, the Eagles will be wearing white with black helmets and pants, black helmets and pants, the visiting Packers were green.

Pershin:

Yeah, that's what I was told too. They're going to be wearing green. So I don't know, but I don't know what the, I guess, I guess they

Jason:

just said, fuck it. I guess they just said, fuck it.

Pershin:

Yeah, it could be. I don't know. But I do think, I do think this is going to be a big game. The number one thing I'm on the lookout for this game is that Philadelphia Eagles offense. There was a lot of talk about how it's a 95 percent new playbook. Callen Moore is now there. He's got a completely different system what they were running last year. And basically I want to see everything about it. I want to see what, what is the usage like? Are they going to have AJ Brown working into the slot? Is it just going to be Devante Smith in the slot? You know, are they going to do the tush push when they're in those moments? All of these things are, we don't know yet. And so I'd be interested to see how that offense shapes out. I do, I do like the Packers to win this game though. I do. I, I'm kind of like, I'm drinking the floor Kool Aid here. I think he's going to have a good game plan ready. Keep them on their, their heels. If you will. I think that the offense is going to be cooking well enough and that the, the Philly, the Philly offense probably will not be able to keep pace.

Jason:

Yeah, I too, of course, like the Packers because I'm a Homer and the point spread being minus three given to Philadelphia. I think the Packers could easily cover that. Not only that, because they're going to win just because they're better, they're the better team. They got a better squad. I think they're more in coherent with each other. Nick Sirianni is a cancer to society. And I think, I think his team's going to play like he'd like how he coaches. They're going to get their panties in a while when shit don't go right. So over, under 48 and a half. I don't think that gets reached. But however, prop bet wise, I'm loving Josh Jacobs for over 17 and a half rushing yards for the first quarter. Oh, my first quarter. Then Matt, okay. Okay. Matt LaFleur, Matt LaFleur has, has said he would like to run the ball more. He now has a fully, a healthy running back, not Aaron Jones. He has two tight ends that can block. They finally have an O O line that can block. Okay. I expect them to run the ball a lot more than they have in previous years, and especially first game, first quarter. So I think he could get that in like two, three runs. I think I

Pershin:

was just going to say on the Green Bay side, I forgot to mention that on the Green Bay side, the, the big sort of thing that we've been talking about this off season is how is the receiving room going to shake out? Is it going to be the same sort of rotation that they did last year or will there be a guy or two to emerge? Really interesting to see not only how the snap shares go, but of course how the targets go as well.

Jason:

Yeah. Well, I mean, like you said Christian Watson is, is not injured this year, he's fully healthy. He's got two calves, two big calves, two adult size, two adult size calves now. So, and, and you can see they were. They want to throw him the ball. They want to get him involved. So hopefully he won't be out with any significant injuries this season and we can finally see what they fully envisioned for them, whether he gets the ball or not, we can at least look at his routes and his usage rate and stuff like that. Absolutely. On, on the other side of the ball, AJ Brown or on the other team, rather AJ Brown is my prop bet with more than 10 and a half receiving yards in the first quarter. Yeah,

Pershin:

I like that one actually.

Jason:

Yeah, I saw some first quarter prop bets and I was like, Oh, let's get, let's roll the dice.

Pershin:

Nice. I like it. Yeah,

Jason:

so that was Packers', Eagles in Brazil. So then one of the games that I thought was interesting, what what you just looked really goofy going Bra, Brazil, bra, seal. Oh gosh. This fucking guy. So the next game that I thought was pretty interesting and would be fun to talk about is the Colts versus the Texans. With Houston getting, giving up three points in the over under 48 and a half. This is a, you know, right out of the gate. This is a conference division game, if you will. This is a big time game. C. J. Stroud versus A. R. I mean, I'm surprised. This is a good, this is going to be a really fun game to watch. It could be a lot of scoring. Yeah, this is

Pershin:

so far you're picking really good games here because there's plenty of stuff that we're interested in with this too. Stuff that we've already talked about this off season. With the Colts particularly we're looking at A. R. Is he going to run as much as he did The game and a half that we saw of him last season. Are they going to be using them as an on the goal line? Is he going to be doing that cam Newton shit, or are they going to be afraid of the injuries and they're actually going to change this role a little bit? I don't expect that, but I, I, I want to see confirmation with that. I really want to see how that plays out. Is he still the same? Type of player, the way that he plays. And then of course, for the Texans, we've, we've got almost a Green Bay Packers situation where we're not quite sure how the snap shares and the target shares are going to go for those top three wide receivers. We got a ton of confidence in Stroud, but we don't necessarily have a ton of confidence in the individual receivers. Usage, you know, so how many three wide receiver sets are they going to play? And then of course, when there's the two wide receiver sets, is it always just going to be Nico and Stefan digs or Nico and tank that is going to tell us a lot for how fantasy will shake out for the remainder of the season.

Jason:

Yeah. Couldn't agree more. That's exactly what I was looking at. You know, all of these, these pieces coming back in the fold. Prompt bet wise for me I got AR longest completion is going to be more than 35 and a half yards. Y'all know, he likes to throw the deep ball. I, with the receivers he has, even if he throws it less than 35, I think it could end up being yak yards on top of that. Yeah. So I think that's a shoe in and then Stefan digs, I think he's going to get less than 59 and a half receiving yards.

Pershin:

Nice. Yeah. I did. These are good ones. I didn't even think of the AR like longest pass that I think that's a, that's a pretty sharp man.

Jason:

I'm just coming up. I'm just, I'm just trying to get, you know, all the off ball.

Pershin:

The one I definitely did get in myself here was Joe Mixon. Whether you're doing something like pick six or prize picks or underdog pickums, you can get like Joe Mixon half, half a touchdown. So basically if he gets a touchdown, the prop wins. And the cool thing is that the sports books, along with these pickum sites are giving you plus money. And I think that there's a better than 50 percent chance that he gets either a rushing or receiving touchdown. I expect them to put up a lot of points. I think that they're like, they have like the third highest team total this week, as far as Vegas is concerned. And he is a really good. Short yardage runner. So there's no reason why they're not going to be using him on the goal line. I think that there's a good chance he gets into end zone this week and you got plus money when that happens. So

Jason:

absolutely, absolutely. Who do you like in this game? Which team?

Pershin:

I like the Texans. I, I think their, their offense is going to be good again. And I think they're, I think their defense is actually going to take a step forward. So I think that even if the Colts can keep up with them offensively, I think the Colts defense is going to be worse than the Texas defense, but it's, this is definitely going to be one. I really want to watch though.

Jason:

Absolutely. Yeah. I got the Texas as well. So three for three, same, same teams. Moving on to our fourth game, maybe a curve ball for you. Cowboys versus the Browns. Oh yeah. I was not expecting you to pick with this one. Okay. How is Deshaun Watson going to do? Okay. How is Dak going to do with contracts? Salumi point spread on this is Cleveland minus two and a half and he over unders 41 and a half. What'd you, what'd you think about this game, man?

Pershin:

I think the most interesting facet for the Cowboys is definitely going to be the RB room. Is it going to be primarily Dowdle or even primarily Zeke? Is Dalvin Cook going to work into that mix or is it just going to be the two guys? That's going to be really important to see for future week, you know, projections is how much work are those guys getting? I have a sneaky suspicion that. Doudle is actually going to get the majority of it, but yeah, I love some doubt. I'm not that confident on it though. It's it's A mild kind of a hunch there. I guess you would say that being said I think on the other side. It's got a

Jason:

gut feeling

Pershin:

Yeah, yeah. That being said, on the other side, I think the most interesting thing is like, is Jerry Judy going to be like a full time player? Is he going to be in the two wide receiver sets? Is he going to be splitting time with Cedric Wilson? You know, they've been talking up other people aside from Jerry Judy. He hasn't necessarily had the best vibes this off season. So that's going to be interesting to see. I think Amari Cooper is locked into his role. And I think in joke, who's locked into his role. I'm a little less confident about Judy. So I think we need to see him actually get in, you know, earn himself a good amount of targets before we can necessarily feel confident about projecting him forward. And of course, Deshaun Watson. Is he going to look anything like the classic Deshaun Watson? Or is he always going to be this, like, Post shoulder surgery, post controversy version of himself. You know what I mean? Maybe the secret sauce was all of those shady massages. He was getting and you take away his magic beans and now he just sucks or something. So I, I don't know that, that, those are the things that I, I'm looking at in this game though.

Jason:

Maybe Clemson needs some more shady massages. I don't know.

Pershin:

Oh man, I'll tell you, everyone's lost their magic beans these days, man.

Jason:

Yeah, yeah. Well, Jerry Judy, the problem with Jerry Judy coming in is Elijah Moore's spot is kind of taken now which kind of sucks for him. I think Deshaun Watson, this will, this will be, he'll be back. This will be his year. He'll be back. This team defensively is, is going to destroy the Cowboys because They just simply don't have enough dudes. There's nobody in the running back room that I'm scared of on this team currently. Not because they're not good. It's just Zeke's old. We don't know about Daryl yet. We don't, we don't know what kind of touches he's going to get. How, you know, all of that information. So. You know, I'm not worried about it. So to me, this is Dak has to pass the ball. And I think the Browns have enough to handle that. So I think this is going to be a really one sided game for me. I think this two and a half point spread is too easy. I think it's going to be the Browns by. 14, 14.

Pershin:

Yeah, I did one that I did do prop wise was for Jalen Tolbert. I think a lot of people don't necessarily realize this, but Jalen Tolbert is the third wide receiver. He will be. In all of the 11 personnel snaps and on prize picks, they've got 11. 5 yards for him. And I think that he's basically a shoe in to get at least like 20 yards, you know, 20 yards per game here. So I really liked that as a pig as far as who I like I like the Cowboys. I'm not that confident in that, but I'm picking the Cowboys. I think that it's going to come down to Deshaun Watson, and I just don't have a ton of confidence in him anymore. So.

Jason:

Yeah, I'm taking the Browns. So the first one we disagree on, as far as prop bet wise, however, parlay play has a special on DAC with half a passing yard. Oh man, take these free squares guys. Dude, bro, I'm just saying, they're trying to give me cash. So then I also like Jerome Ford at 26 and a half rushing yards. I think he'll get more than that. I think that's a, that's an easy, easy one to take right there. Easy money. Which

Pershin:

site has the 26 and a half?

Jason:

Parlay play, man. Wow. Parlay play has both of those. So that's an easy, that's an easy two pick. I didn't get on All right. So moving from the Cowboys and the Browns. So I got another game that you might not be thinking about. Okay on your radar. All right, and it is the Rams versus the lions. Oh, no, I like this one off Stafford Rivalry that they are trying to create Even though these guys don't hate each other They are always talking about the two of them when they play each other. They're trying to create a rivalry. I'm telling you media They're trying to do it. I love it. This game Detroit is a four point favorite over under is 50 and a half No defense is expected to be played, which I'm fine with because I just drafted some Lions players. So I'm expecting the Lions to come out on top here. Yeah. What do you think?

Pershin:

Yeah, I, I got the lines. I like the lines by five, six points here. I, I think that there's, they're going to outpace the spread here. I think the biggest issue why I would say that is because the rams, Really didn't do much to bolster their defense and they lost Aaron Donald. Whereas the lions were able to actually bring in a couple of pieces and you don't expect any drop off from the offense. You know what I mean? So I just think that the lions, even though the Rams played pretty well toward the end of the season, last year, they were a competitive team. I think the lions are just. Really one of the top teams in the NFL this season. That is my expectation. And so that, that's kind of the story of this game, I think, is that they got the better defense.

Jason:

Yeah. And I just think they have, they can outlast the Rams. Like you said yeah, you know, I think, I think, cause even if it does come down to a shootout type situation, I think if the Lions just need that one more stop that they could, they could get that over the Rams. With that being said, I like Matthew Stafford for over 34 and a half passing attempts is historically. He's like right at 35, 36, 37, you know, so on. So I think that's a good one. And then I also like Amon Ra St. Brown at more than seven receptions. He's usually right around seven, so I think he can get one or two more, especially if this game becomes a a boat race. I really

Pershin:

liked the Jameson Williams props. Pretty much everywhere's got him in like the 25 yard to 30 yard range. And I love him to smash that. I, we were actually just talking about this a little bit ago. They are going to feature Jameson Williams. More this season. He is going to be the second wide receiver to get, you know, the looks, the targets, the reads, whatever you want to say. And so he's going to be getting. You know, somewhere in the neighborhood of 40, 50, 60 yards a game is my expectation. And so I think for the first two, three weeks, you're going to be able to exploit that on these Pickham sites. They're just going to be too low on him. I think the thing that I'm looking at the most from the lines is to see, are they going to continue with the same work share in the backfield that they had last year with Montgomery getting like the 45 and Jamiro Gibbs getting like the 55 or are they going to bump that up for Gibbs? A lot of people are expecting, Oh, they're going to give Gibbs like 60 to 65 this time around because he was just the more efficient backfielder. And I think that that's likely you know, his second rear round in the offense, I think that that's likely, but I really want to see it. You know, I really want to see it. That being said on the Ram side, I really want to see what they're going to do with Cooper cup. They're talking him up. They're saying he's healthy. He's back to the old Cooper cup. He's now 31 years old. I think he turns 32 some point during the season. So he's starting to get on on the older age. They're obviously Puka has emerged. And so is it just going to be like mostly Puka as like the first read guy, or is Cooper Cup going to be like the old guy that they're claiming he is? Right. I really want to

Jason:

see too old.

Pershin:

Yeah. I really want to see what Cooper Cups usage and how good he looks out there. Frankly. Is what I would like to see. And of course, I I'll be a little bit interested also to see how much run they, they actually give to play core Blake Corum. I think that I think that he's going to see some work, but I'm really not sure how much, and so it'll be It'll be interesting to see how much he can cut into Kyron's work share. Last year Kyron had just a crazy like 90 percent snap share. I don't think it'll be that high this year, but it'll probably still be pretty high.

Jason:

Yeah, I'm hoping so. I'm hoping so. All right, rolling on to the final game, the final game of the weekend as well. The game everybody has been waiting, is going to wait all week in the watch. And hopefully this guy doesn't get injured in the first fucking play. The Jets versus the 49ers. San Francisco with a four and a half point favorite. Over under 43 and a half. Expect a defensive game. I mean, this is two pretty good defenses going up against each other, but also two pretty good QBs as well. We all know how I feel about the Jets and Air Rodgers. They're going to fucking lose, lose, lose, lose.

Pershin:

Yes. Yes. I like the 49ers. Not only do I like the 49ers because they're bringing everyone back. They did finally re sign Iuke and Trent Williams. They're getting the band back together. There's no reason to expect that they're not going to be dominant again. Last year, they were kicking ass and taking names for basically the entire season. And the jets are basically, well, if Aaron Rogers plays at an MVP level, then maybe they're on that level, maybe, but you're talking about a whole lot of ifs, whereas with the 49ers, we've seen it two, three seasons in a row now. So I'm going with the 49ers as they had just have far fewer question marks. And I've already been on the record. I think that ultimately Rogers is going to disappoint anyways. I think the. The, the bigger question is just how bad of a disappointment is it going to be? But I think expectations are just way too high. And I think that if, if there wasn't so much hype for Rogers, I think the spread would be literally seven points, maybe even seven and a half, you know, I just, you know that that's about it. I think the, the interesting thing that I'm looking forward to aside from does Aaron Rogers still look like Aaron Rogers is going to be Mike Williams. Does he? Get a lot of work in this game, or is he still kind of like they're easing him back in, you know, is he going to be like a full time guy? And then on the

Jason:

other side, I bet he gets some targets, but they're overthrow.

Pershin:

Yeah. And they, they pitch about it on the sideline, hopefully. And then on the 49er side, I want to see what happens with CMC. They, they had been alluding to the fact that they want to try to lessen his workload earlier in the season to basically preserve him for the end of the year slash playoffs, and then he's basically coming into the season with a calf strain, he's supposed to be available, but I think With those two things combined, we could see that they actually ease off of his usage a lot. And maybe Jordan Mason actually gets a decent amount of work. If that's true, then it'll basically, you know, we'll, we'll want to adjust our projections for both of those players going forward. But I kind of think they might be bluffing and they're just going to use CMC a ton because why would you not, you know what I mean? So we'll see.

Jason:

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I agree 49ers all the way. I think, you know, even if Aaron Rodgers plays the whole game, he's still first week back from a whole season off. You know, it's, there's gonna be some rust in the, and as we've seen before. In previous seasons when he didn't practice in preseason and did all that, he got blown out week one by the Saints, blown out week one by the next team, I can't remember. Even when he was, even when he

Pershin:

was at his peak, they would have, they would start off rough a lot of times. Remember he has to go on the radio and say R E L A X. Yeah,

Jason:

R E L A X. So, and this is no different. He already went on his football sanctioned journey somewhere.

Pershin:

Yes. His football only vacation.

Jason:

So prop bet wise for me, I have air Rogers passing less than one and a half touchdowns. So I have them throwing one touchdown. And then I actually had CMC getting more than 75 and a half rushing yards, but then you talked to me out of it and now I think it's going to be less. See,

Pershin:

I'm afraid to touch the CMC props cause I just don't know what they're going to

Jason:

do.

Pershin:

I don't know what they're going to do. I mean, that's a tough

Jason:

one.

Pershin:

Yeah. And Shanahan has been a little, a little funny with what he says. Sometimes he's not one of the honest, he's

Jason:

not one

Pershin:

of the honest coaches, you know what I mean? So it's hard to tell. He's not like Dan Campbell. He's not like Dan Campbell or your guy LaFleur also very honest. Yeah, I love it Just tell us the fucking truth, bitch But yeah, I i'm staying away from the cfc props because I just who knows man who knows It would not shock anyone if they just leaned on him and you know, he he's putting up crazy crazy yardage and two touchdowns and shit, but Also, they might really be like, okay, we're ahead in the game. We're sitting you, you know what I mean? Like I, we don't know. We just don't know. The, as far as like the prop I love the most though, is just straight up Garrett Wilson receptions prop. I'd like him to be over eight and a half. A, in some places you can get the target prop. I like him a lot. Yeah. Yeah, it is. It's some places you'll find like seven and a half or eight, which is even better. Most places have them at eight and a half receptions. And if you, if you get like the targets, those are also great. I like him at. More than 12 targets. I think he's going to get at least 13 targets. I think that he's just going to be early and often. He is the guy Rogers is going to trust the most. And we know what happens when there's a guy that Aaron trusts the most, you know,

Jason:

absolutely. Well, That's it. Solid games, man. Any, any other notable things you want to touch on real quick before we peace out?

Pershin:

No, I think that's a good enough touch. Once I get going, I'll just go and go and go and a bunch of

Jason:

random Go and go and go. You don't want to get this mad.

Pershin:

Random details and games people aren't even interested in. It's a good, it's a good spot to end it.
