Well, here we are! The final episode of Sick and Seeking Season 2!

After you listen to this episode, I invite you to go BACK and listen to any episodes from season 1 or 2 that you may have missed. They are still wonderful episodes, even if they are from a year or two ago.

AND, I’m going to ask a favor - can you rate and review the Sick and Seeking Podcast whenever you listen to your podcasts? It helps the podcast to be more easily discovered by people who it may support and serve on their healing journey.

We’re doing something a bit different this week. If you’ve listened to this podcast, you know that I share about myself here and there, but I’ve never done an entire episode all about me. Well. Today is the day!

Before we hop into the episode, context is important: I recorded this over a year ago, not really knowing where this content would land. And it feels a bit rambly in the end so forgive me there. And let me tell you there is a part of me that wanted the episode about me to be this to be super clean and well thought out story etc. but you know what? I don’t have time for that, and as an entrepreneur I’ve learned that ‘good enough’ has to be good enough sometimes.

I will give you an in the moment health update as things have changed since this was recorded: I still have chronic kidney disease. I’m not in dialysis nor have I had a transplant, however, my kidney function numbers do look to be in decline. As you will hear, my function was steady for over a decade, but it appears this is not the case any longer. This has been causing a lot of fear and uncertainty in our house as we navigate this change and do our best to know what the next step forward.

I’m physically feeling pretty darn good right now in body, mind and soul and I’m grateful for the days I feel good on all of these levels. The mental toll of thinking through what may lay ahead for my body and my family is difficult, but this is my life. There will be good days and bad days. I’m fortifying myself with more knowledge, a loving and supportive group of friends
