Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to the City of Trusses Trust Broadcast. I'm your host, reverend Charles Irwin Irwin. Today we're going to talk about we need God in the world today. Yes, we need Jesus more than ever in this terrible world that we are living in today. We need Washington DC to wake up to the power of Jesus. We need the world leaders to wake up to the power and name of Jesus. I pray today that there will be peace in the world soon and be peace for Ukraine soon and Israel we are praying for Israel today. I'm on both sides to come back to the peace table to talk with peace. Talk again, amen.

Speaker 1:

Now for the Lord's Prayer. Our Father, who art thou in heaven, hallowed be thy name. That kingdom come, that world be done. Our earth is in heaven. Give us the day, our day bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass in excess, and let our temptation but deliver us from the error and from the kingdom of heaven and the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen. Now, this Christmas is for today. It comes from Romans 7, chapter 7. And I get out your Bibles, all your smartphones, and go to your Bible app. I go to Romans 7, chapter 7.

Speaker 3:

And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles all your smartphones and go to your Bible app. And I get out your Bibles, all your smartphones and go to your Bible app.

Speaker 3:

But what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good as it is. It is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me, for I know that good itself does not dwell in me. That is in my sinful nature, for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out, for I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do. This I keep on doing.

Speaker 3:

Now, if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work. Although I want to do good. Evil is right there with me, for in my inner being I delight in God's law, but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am. Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Or? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So then, I myself, in my mind, am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature, a slave to the law of sin.

Speaker 1:

That's my brothers and sisters. We need God in this beautiful world right now. We need have people to wake up and spread the love of Jesus Christ right now. We need Jesus in this world. Sin is wanting to wrap it right now. We need churches to reopen the doors to walk in people again. We need to go out, pass through those churches. We need to go out to our neighbors around our churches to go invite them back in through the church and the love of Jesus. We need to invite people back in churches. We need to stand our healthy hand out to our brothers and sisters who are need, who are poor, who are hungry. We need to go out and preach the Lord, jesus Christ, every day.

Speaker 1:

Every morning when I get up, I read the Bible every day. If I don't have time in the morning, I take it with me on my iPhone. I got the Bible app on my phone that I listen on the way to work or on the way to call to go pray with somebody at the hospital. My brothers and sisters, we need to differentiate ourselves and the love of Jesus. This is the breakup call. God's not dead. My chains are broken. He is here for you to open your heart to Him. If you open your heart to Jesus, you will show you the way of your path. My path is here to tease the love of Jesus through this podcast. That's what the Lord has called me to do. He called me to become a minister and I did. I was waiting for a sign. One day, he told me, after my mind passed away, I was looking for a sign to do to do with nuts. So when this ad came up through you to step to become a minister, I took as a sign from God that he want me to become a minister to the inner world.

Speaker 1:

Life choice yes, we all have sinning on our lives. Every day I get up, I re-knight my sins for the day and we recite the Lord's Prayer every day to wake me up, to get me going. Until he hears what every day. We need pray for peace right now. We need pray for peace in Ukraine. We need pray for peace in Israel. We need pray for peace in the Philippines. Pray for peace in Vietnam. We need pray for peace in Central Central Africa. Right now, the war is raging again in Sudan. We need pray for healing prayer and peace in Sudan to come to have a ceasefire. We need pray for ceasefire in Ukraine from Russia. We need have a ceasefire in Israel and Palestinians. We need have peace. Pray for peace on the Easter banks and the Marys. Amen. I pray for to have God listen to every corner in this world. We need pray for peace every single day. We need have God in the world today, amen. Now for the songs of the day.

Speaker 2:

I'm not sure what I'm doing. I'm not sure what I'm doing. I'm not sure what I'm doing. Joy to Amazing grace. How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found. Was blind, but now I see. Twas grace that's on my heart to feel, and grace my fears relieve. How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed. My chains are gone. I've been set free. My God, my Savior, has ransomed me, and like a flood, his mercy rains Unending love, amazing grace. The Lord has promised a good to me. His word my hope secures. He wear my shield and punish me as long as life endures. My chains are gone. I've been set free. My God, my Savior, has ransomed me and like a flood, his mercy rains Unending love, amazing grace. My chains are gone. I've been set free. My God, my Savior, has ransomed me, and like a flood, his mercy rains Unending love, amazing grace. The earth shall soon dissolve like snow. The sun for bear to shine, but God who called me here below, will be forever, will be forever.

Speaker 4:

He's a little song I wrote. You might want to sing it note for note. You might want to sing it note for note Be happy. In every life we have some trouble, but when you are, you make it double. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy now. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. In a good place to lay your head, somebody came and took your bed. Don't worry, be happy. The landlord say your rent is lit. He may have to lit the gate. Don't worry, be happy. Look at me, I'm happy. Don't worry, be happy. I give you my phone number. When you are worried, call me.

Speaker 2:

I make you happy, don't worry, be happy.

Speaker 4:

In god, no cash in god, no style In god, no girl to make you smile. But don't worry, be happy. When you are worried, your face will run In that. It will bring everybody down. So, don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy now. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy. Now there is this song I wrote. I hope you learned it, note for note. Like good little children, don't worry, be happy. Listen to what I say. In your life, expect some trouble. When you are worried, you make it double. Don't worry, Be happy.

Speaker 2:

Be happy now, don't worry, be happy.

Speaker 4:

Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy, be happy, don't worry. Don't worry, be happy. Put a smile on your face. Don't bring everybody down like this. Don't worry, it will soon pass, whatever it is. Don't worry, be happy.

Speaker 2:

Love is blowing. Bring the day to life. Love is so bold to see a revolution. Somehow Love lost in your freedom. Love is blowing. Bring the day to life.

Speaker 2:

Love so bold to bring a revolution. Somehow, love is blowing. Bring the day to life. Love is blowing. Bring the day to life. Love is blowing. Bring the day to life. Love is blowing, blowing like a lion. Let hope arise and make the darkness hide. Faith is dead. I need a resurrection. Somehow Love lost in your freedom and this world I'll overcome. My God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside, holding like a lion. God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside, holding like a lion. He's holding. He's holding like a lion. He's holding. He's holding like a lion. Come shake the ground with the sound of revival. Come shake the ground with the sound of revival. Let hope arise and make the darkness hide. Come shake the ground with the sound of revival. My God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside, holding like a lion. God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside, holding like a lion. God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside, holding like a lion. God's not dead. He's surely alive. He's living on the inside, holding like a lion. It's rolling like a lion.

Speaker 2:

Pray for peace.

Speaker 2:

Pray for peace, the peace of every golden day and night. Pray for peace cause in our faithful prayer is born Now to love and let our hearts be free, live and watch things grow as they should be. Bless this world that we find our mode. Pray for peace. Pray for peace and know that every fearful thought is past. Pray for peace and all together, pray it will last. Friends will earn the joy to give and share, for each heart really wants to care. I'm so glad that he's always there.

Speaker 2:

Pray for peace, pray for peace.

Speaker 2:

The peace of every golden day and night.

Speaker 2:

Pray for peace.

Speaker 2:

Cause in our faithful prayer is born Now to love and let our hearts be free, live and watch things grow as they should be. Bless this world that we find our mode. Pray for peace. Pray for peace and know that every fearful thought is past. Pray for peace and all together, pray it will last. Pray for peace and we hold both still. Pray to keep our visions strong and clear. I'm so glad that he's always there. Pray for peace, pray for peace, pray for peace. Oh, we don't need another mountain. There are mountains and hillsides. There are oceans and rivers Enough to grow, enough to last till the end of time. What the world needs now is love, sweet love Now, not just for some, but for everyone, everyone. What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It's the only thing that there's, just to love. What the world needs now is love, sweet love. No, not just for some, but just for everyone. What the world needs now is love, sweet love. Why aren't there so many songs about rainbows and what's on the other side? Rainbows are visions, but only illusions.

Speaker 2:

And rainbows have nothing to hide. So we've been told, and some choose to believe it. I know their own way and say Someday we'll find it.

Speaker 2:

The rainbow connection, the lovers the dreamers and me, who said that every wish would be heard and answered when wished, on the morning star. Somebody thought of that and someone believed it. Look what it's done so far. What's so amazing that keeps us star-easing, and what do we think we might see? Someday we'll find it. The rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me, all of us under its spell. We know that it's probably magic. Have you been ever sweet? Have you heard voices? I've heard them calling my name. Is this the sweet sound that only young sailors? The voice, might be one and the same. I've heard it too many times to ignore it. It's something that I'm supposed to be. Someday we'll find it. The rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me, all of us under its spell.

Speaker 2:

When the saints go marching in oh, when the saints go marching in yes, I want to be in that little number. When the saints go marching in oh, when the saints go marching in oh, when the saints go marching in, yes, I want to be in that little number. When the saints go marching in yes, I used to have some playmates who used to play with me, but since I went and got converted, lordy, they've gone and turned their backs on me. Oh, when the saints go marching in. Oh, when the saints go marching in, yes, I want to be in that little number. When the saints go marching in, when the saints go marching in oh, when the saints go marching in, yes, I want to be in that number. When the saints go marching in yes, I had a dear old mother, and if you should see her before I do, won't you tell her that you saw me coming and I was starting straight on through.

Speaker 2:

Oh, when the saints go marching in. Oh, when the saints go marching in, yes, I want to be in that little number. When the saints go marching in. Oh, when the saints go marching in, yes, I want to be in that little number. When the saints go marching in yes, I want to be in that little number. When the saints go marching in yes, I want to be in that little number.
