Contractor Chef: The Recipe For Renovation

A Las Vegas couple learned it’s all about the little choices that makes designing and renovating a home so challenging. Tambourine Home clients Kathy Topp and Brian Kolp explain how they hired Nicci to breathe new life into their outdated townhouse in Spanish Trail. 

Kathy, a business owner, and Brian, a chef on the Las Vegas Strip, opted not to hire a contractor. Instead, Brian did most of the work himself with the help of his dad, who taught him how to do the more complicated construction tasks.

Brian and Kathy’s kitchen, dining room, living space, primary bedroom, and primary bathroom were transformed during this renovation that took many months and consumed all hours outside of Brian’s work schedule to complete.

They share what they learned and the most challenging parts they didn’t expect along their renovation journey.
