According to the Human Traffic Institute there are approximately 25 million victims of human trafficking around the world. A recent study reveals only 46% of Canadians are aware of HELP signals, and only 21% know how to proceed once someone signals they are in distress. So in this week's podcast travel expert Onanta Forbes will discuss what the travel industry is doing to help combat human trafficking, what those HELP signals are and what to do. Plus, we'll head to Newfoundland and chat with native Newfoundlander Annie Hennessey, PR spokesperson for Booking.com to get some insider tips on traveling to Newfoundland.
