While you wait...

All about incontinence pads and incontinence underwear

Sarah Boyles Season 1 Episode 14

There are a lot of products out there!  This episode is all about incontinence pads and underwear.  When you are thinking about pads, it is important to use pads designed for bladder leaking- they work better.  The most common pads in stored are Poise, Depends, Always discrete, Tena, and Kroger generic.  I think it is always a good idea to look at the websites before you go to the store, so you have an idea of what would work for you.  The different types of pads describe their absorbency in different ways- there isn't one system- so it is hard to compare them.  If you try a few that don't work for you, there are a few websites that offer recommendations or have experts you can talk to.  These include:
home care delivered https://www.hcd.com/need-medical-supplies/products/
the National Association for Continence https://nafc.org/
Carewell https://www.carewell.com/

Some women have very sensitive skin and pads can be irritating.  There are pads that are designed for more delicate skin.  many of these are found online.  Always discrete has some pads for sensitive skin, as do Honeypot, Elyte, and AttnGrace.  So if your current pads are bothering you, check out these additional brands.

Incontinence underwear (the reusable type) is only available online.  Current brands include:
speax https://www.thinx.com/thinx-for-all-leaks
ONDR https://ondrwear.com/
Proof https://shopproof.com/
Knix https://knix.com/collections/all-leakproof?loc=Main-ShopAllNav-Categories&nav=leakproof-hq
Wearever https://www.weareverincontinence.com/

Be sure to look at the return policies before you buy!  You can't return incontinence underwear but some companies will send you a new pair if you need a different size.

And if you like the idea of workout pants made for leaking, check out these brands:
