Exploring Psycho-oncology, with A/Prof Haryana Dhillon
Haryana Dhillon is a behavioural scientist and psycho-oncologist at the University of Sydney, working with people who are living with cancer or working through cancer survivorship. Haryanan co-leads the survivorship research group and is a director of the centre for medical psychology and evidence-based decision making in the school of psychology at the university of Sydney. They chair the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Psycho-oncology Co-operative Research Group (PoCoG) and is a Board member of Cancer Council NSW.
Haryana has more than 25 years experience in cancer clinical research across a range of investigator-initiated cancer clinical trials. Her research interests are broad encompassing cancer survivorship, health literacy, and interventions for survivorship, symptom management, and psycho-oncology.
Haryana is the recipient of several awards and honours, and is a well-respected lecturer in several undergraduate psychology units of study. I was very fortunate to learn from you in both lectures and tutorials.
