Q&A on toddlers, with paediatric psychologist Amanda
Apr 22, 2024 Season 2 Episode 6
Aliza Carr and Joseph Sgroi

In today's episode, we are sitting down with Amanda Abel. Amanda is a paediatric psychologist, mum, registered SOS feeding therapist, founder of the Northern Centre for Child Development, and co-founder of Toddler Toolkit.

In today’s episode, we will be doing more of a Q&A format, largely focused on toddlers which is where a lot of our community is currently at, including myself with an 18-month-old. Some of the many questions we will cover, are below. Tune in for a wonderful discussion!

  1. What are the “terrible two’s” what’s happening on an emotional level?
  2. My toddlers refusing everything and saying no all the time. How do we handle this?
  3. How do we set healthy boundaries for children and toddlers?
  4. How to deal with separation anxiety or anxiety in general in toddlers?
  5. Tips for starting children in daycare, what can help the transition?
  6. Tips for bringing a new baby into the family and getting a toddler ready for this.
  7. Any tips or tricks are getting your toddler to eat new foods when they suddenly become picky eaters out of nowhere.
