Back To The Breath
"Back To The Breath" is a platform for discussing ideas related to self-mastery, healthy self expression, and forming a spiritual bond with ourselves and the world. You will mainly find discussions based around developing better mental health and in an effort to do that, we explore all sorts of modalities on this podcast such as spirituality, religion, the 12 steps, psychedelic therapy, meditation, breathwork, exercise, & different mental frameworks such as IFS, or the concept of an inner-child. Some of these modalities are based in scientific study and others are anecdotal and based in individual's subjective experience so, I always encourage people to do their own research as we are always learning.
Overall, I feel we're all capable of living fulfilling lives on our own terms and hope that this podcast can be a vessel for communicating that idea to the listener.

EP 27 | Sean Campbell | Austin's Growing Homeless Community, The Heroes Journey, and Embracing "Negative" Emotions
In this episode, I am joined by Sean Campbell.
Sean and I begin the conversation discussing his education in social work, which drove him to travel here to Austin to gain real experience working in the field. Sean has been working with and in service to, the homeless community here in Austin for a while now. We discuss some of the causes of homelessness, as well as what we can do as individuals to help those in need.
We also discuss Sean's interest in Batman. Specifically what drew him to the character and how it is had a significant impact on his life, his decisions, and has been a major motivator for working with those in need and being fit to serve others.
We talk about embracing our emotions as well, all of them.. especially the ones we perceive as negative and how resisting them only brings about stress and anxiety.
Lastly, if you are a man in the Austin area in need of connection or simply resonate with this conversation, I would encourage your to check out the Men's Group we reference in the episode.
