Back To The Breath
"Back To The Breath" is a platform for discussing ideas related to self-mastery, healthy self expression, and forming a spiritual bond with ourselves and the world. You will mainly find discussions based around developing better mental health and in an effort to do that, we explore all sorts of modalities on this podcast such as spirituality, religion, the 12 steps, psychedelic therapy, meditation, breathwork, exercise, & different mental frameworks such as IFS, or the concept of an inner-child. Some of these modalities are based in scientific study and others are anecdotal and based in individual's subjective experience so, I always encourage people to do their own research as we are always learning.
Overall, I feel we're all capable of living fulfilling lives on our own terms and hope that this podcast can be a vessel for communicating that idea to the listener.

EP 34 | Exploring a Recent Journey of Mine
Hey guys,
In this episode I dive into a recent journey of mine. Thanks to some amazing people I have met recently I was able to get in contact with some people who facilitate and host hikuri (peyote) ceremonies in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
As I found this to be one of the most interesting, unique and profound experiences in my life, I felt it would be silly not to discuss it. I talk about it for the purpose of sharing in case any one is curious about the medicine, but I also discuss it simply to document my thoughts as I learned and experienced a lot and want to be sure that none of it is lost to me over time.
I leave out most of the traditions, practices, beliefs and actual aspects of the ceremony in this episode. This is because there is a lot to be talked about, but also I want to provide privacy and don't want to exploit or take their practice for granted as it is sacred and very important. I am very new to their religion and way of life and simply feel I wouldn't do any of it justice.
So.. I really only discuss main takeaways from the experience, lessons, my intention going into the ceremony, how I feel now, and some insight and wisdom that was shared to me from the wonderful people who I spent time with.
If you are curious and have specific questions, feel free to reach out to me and ask.
Thanks for taking the time to listen. Feel free to reach out with any feedback, or if you'd like to collaborate in any way. Peace!
