Hello and welcome back to Breakfast with Mom.

Today we discuss the murder on August 15, 1914 at The Frank Lloyd Wright Mansion, also known as The Taliesin Massacre.  Taliesin is a town in Wisconsin.  Frank Lloyd Wright was an influential American architect who left an indelible mark on the world of architecture in the 20th century.  He designed more than 1,000 structures over a creative period of 70 years. Wright played a key role in the architectural movements of the twentieth century, influencing architects worldwide through his works and hundreds of apprentices in his Taliesin Fellowship.  Wright's career was marked by innovation and experimentation. He pioneered the use of new materials and construction techniques, such as the cantilevered structure seen in Fallingwater, a house he designed in Pennsylvania that seems to float over a waterfall. He also popularized the use of open floor plans and introduced the concept of the "open plan" in residential architecture.
