Just like new plants sprout in the cracks of the sidewalk, faith can grow and develop in the cracks of our lives. Whether the cracks are cracks of time in our daily schedule or cracks in our lives from changes, pressure, or life in general, when we allow God's word to seep into the cracks, new things can blossom.

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday, to see who is the best NFL team. If you think about winning teams and those who are always contending for titles, it seems like some stay on the mountain top. However, just like those who summit Mt Everest must turn and descend, no one can stay on the mountain top.
This past Sunday was Transfiguration Sunday, the Sunday before Lent begins. Tranfiguration is about change and Jesus changes before the eyes of the disciples. Peter doesn't want to leave, he wants to dwell on the mountain with Jesus and Moses and Elijah. But we can't stay on the mountain top. We must come back to everyday life and keep working.
