The holiday season brings with it a swirl of emotions, from the warmth of community to the chill of absence left by those we've loved and lost. This episode wraps you in a candid embrace as I reflect on the poignant void that my parents' passing casts over Christmas festivities, a sentiment that many of you may find achingly familiar. Yet, in this tender sharing of memories, we're also tuning into the resonance of support and fellowship that's been the heartbeat of our journey together.

Striking a chord with musicians and creators alike, I extend an open invitation for collaboration—echoing past harmonies struck with talents like Gil Faction. Meanwhile, a sneak peek into the juggle of day jobs with our dedication to crafting content that speaks to you promises new melodies and a polished visual vibe for the podcast in the year ahead. So pull up a chair, lend your ear, and let's send off a collective wish for a holiday season rich with connection, community, and the stories that unite us in both celebration and solace.

Thank you for your support. Merry Christmas

It helps out every bit. So I'm going to make it short and sweet today. Tonight we normally do the podcast Saturday night. I got something usually planned out. I didn't really want to get too political today. We all know what's going on out there Close to the show.

Speaker 1:

All my followers and subscribers, a very, very deep, merry Christmas. I appreciate all the following shares, the likes, and I just want to say thank you of giving me that. And I want to remember those who won't be with us this year and I, like you know, I know that safe prayer and that I feel your loss. It's hard during the holidays to have your loved one with you during the holidays. I lost my mother, my father. My father I lost 12 years ago, maybe six, seven years ago, and I miss my mom dearly. And towards the holidays it was always her holiday and she always took the hand, gave everybody gifts, even though she couldn't afford it. She'd make it work and she did that all of our lives. Growing up and we came when it was Christmas. We always had something under the tree. She sacrificed for something that she wanted or needed. So thank you, mom. What it's a little emotion, but I just I know it's tough Not having that special someone with you on holiday and I know when the holiday comes around it'll feel my mom with us. We can have that.

Speaker 1:

Sorry, let me get a little emotional. I haven't really got over it. It actually changed my life. I used to be a really good buddy. I was going to go to high until I lost my mom. I still haven't got over it. I'm trying to get over it.

Speaker 1:

I used to think like this I didn't know what to do anymore Because when I was a kid we would listen to the local radio station. So that's something that I knew what Samba was, I knew who the artist was and my mother. I just couldn't take that belief that I could retain that kind of information at eight years old. I love music, so anyway. So if you're lost to the loved one and you're missing them during the holiday, I'm right there with you and if you want to send me an email, tell me your story. We'll talk about it.

Speaker 1:

You're doing well and yeah. So similar what we did with deal factions, action you what you know you want to, you know your band, you want cover, you want to play a song or something like that. Michelle will set up a time and date that works for you and and we'll we'll do it. There's a lot of talented people out there.

Speaker 1:

Basically, send me a message. He's like get all your family and friends together, buy some land and just get away from the world. And I tell you what, if I had a bonker somewhere and, let's say, 20 acres, I'm gonna do that and I would podcast every day Because we would become become Skills and we can do it.

Speaker 1:
