Our own self care depends upon our nurturing care for 'me'. Often we have taken care of so many others, but never focused upon ourselves. And when our loved ones pass away we feel doubly empty… because we have emptied out our own wells of compassion onto them, and ignored the fact that our water level had been dropping and dropping lower and lower - till when the crisis hit, we hit bottom.
This is such a critical lesson to learn when one is struggling with daily griefs and sorrows. We are going to have to put first things first. Start at the very beginning… and that is with yourself. Not others anymore… it’s time to simply focus on YOU. Great lesson of instructions.
