Kushla Chadwick:

Hey, I'm so excited to be doing these minisodes with you. So not every episode, but some of the episodes are going to be mini sodes, and it gives me the chance to bring more and more value to you, and I'm excited. Today we're going to dive in and talk about one of the mindset things that are really going to help you with your visibility. So let's dive in. Hey, welcome to the Confident Coach Academy podcast. I'm your host, Kushla Chadwick, and if you have an audacious dream to really be at service in the world, build a profitable coaching business online and have an awesome life offline, then, my love, you are in the right place. Together we're going to talk strategy, mindset, manifestation, thought work, energy work all the things. So let's dive in. Yeah, I want you to remember that your business needs two things. Right, it needs you to be visible in front of, obviously, the people who are actively looking for the problem you help solve as a coach. And it needs you to sell, and if you're not being visible, then you're not selling, you're not able to sell. And as you speak about how you feel, about holding back. You know - the mindset games you're playing with yourself, I think would be helpful for us to look at this universal law, the law of relativity, right? It states that all things are relative, mind blown, right? Anyway, there's no big, no small, fast, slow, ugly, beautiful anything except by comparison. And all laws are related, they all correspond to each other. And again, there's nothing big or small, fast or slow whatever, except by comparison. So everyone does something better than others.

Kushla Chadwick:

I think a good example actually is if you look at myself and my brothers. I've got a brother three years older and seven years older. And every now and again, when we all get together as siblings, there's six of us, I will challenge them to a running race, or maybe one of them will challenge me, and I always win. I've just always won for years and years, as long as we've done these races. And so if I'm running next to my brothers, I'm a fast runner. Now, if I run next to my husband or a bunch of other people in my family or friends, I'm a slow runner, right? So am I fast or am I slow, which one is it? I'm both, depending on who I'm comparing myself to, and it's the same for you and what you've been doing.

Kushla Chadwick:

What you're talking about is you're looking at the way others do something and you're comparing it in a way where it pulls you down rather than build yourself and others up. And often we think, oh, if we build ourselves up, then we're pulling someone else down. No, we're just building ourselves up. You don't have to pull someone down in order to build yourself up. You can build yourself up and build others up.

Kushla Chadwick:

You can notice what someone does well. Maybe they're very articulate, they're beautiful. Maybe you think they're smart. You're like, oh, they're so smart at this. Great, build them up and also notice where are you amazing, what are your strengths that you're bringing to the table. And it's OK to notice someone else where they are quote unquote, if you're comparing doing better than you. Maybe, again, if we use the example of being more articulate at their messaging, that's great. Be inspired by that, like I'm so inspired by the way they are articulate. What can I do to emulate the skill in myself? What can I do to build the skill in myself?

Kushla Chadwick:

So, use this law of relativity to build others up, to build yourself up. But again, notice where you're really amazing, because we each come with our unique thumb print of what we bring to this world, like our knowledge, our gifts, our skills, our experience. All of that makes us bring this unique flavor to the world, and if I speak specifically about coaching in your business, there's like a way that people get to work with you. That's just really really going to resonate with some people and it's really not going to resonate with others. That's all good, because everyone has people who I believe you can serve like in an amazing way. That's really really helpful for them at different stages in your life and their lives. So just use this law to support yourself and support others. Use the law to highten your sense of self-esteem and your sense of gratitude for what others bring to the world and what you bring to the world also.

Kushla Chadwick:

Okay, we're all amazing, you're amazing, I'm amazing. We're amazing for different things, and that's great. How boring would it be if we were all amazing for the same things in the same way? Oh, my goodness, my brain just doesn't even want to think about that. Okay, so I want you to have a look at what are the gifts, the skills, the experience, knowledge, all the things you're bringing to the table, and give yourself a pat on the back You're amazing, all right. So, I want you to now imagine going and being visible. If someone else had the same skills that you had. Would you tell them not to be visible? If someone were in the same position as you, someone else with the same skill set, how would you encourage them? What would you highlight in them? If you need to do it as if you're someone else, do that alright. Remember my love. Go be visible. Love and sunshine. I'll speak to you guys soon.
