When the World was shutting down Andrea stepped up as the new CEO of one of the most established and decorated clubs in Premiership Rugby. From the beginning of the pandemic, Andrea was thrown right into the deep end having to lay off over 30 staff, say goodbye to 5 important players, deal with leakages to the press, get acquitted with her new role, and save the club from a financial and health crisis.
Through her determination in bringing the club together, working with a re-shuffled board, and the now England coach Steve Borthwick Leicester came back after having nearly being demoted to winning the Premiership the following season.
In this episode, I was very privileged to hear from the first female CEO in Premiership rugby, to learn about her leadership strategies, both her goals and lessons from the club, Leicester’s analytical approach, and her wider thoughts about the game itself.
