Ken's son, Denis, was diagnosed with glioblastoma back in 2013. Ken was Denis' caregiver throughout his brain tumour journey.
Denis was a young brain cancer advocate, and he worked as a support services specialist at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada before he passed away on July 30th, 2022.
