"Changeling" is a 2008 American mystery crime drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and based on real-life events. The screenplay was written by J. Michael Straczynski. The film stars Angelina Jolie in the lead role and features John Malkovich, Jeffrey Donovan, Colm Feore, and Amy Ryan in supporting roles.

The story is set in Los Angeles during the late 1920s and early 1930s. It revolves around a woman named Christine Collins, played by Angelina Jolie, whose nine-year-old son, Walter, goes missing. Months later, the LAPD claims to have found her son, but when the boy arrives, Christine insists that he is not her real son. Despite her protests, the police, under pressure to solve the high-profile case, insist that the boy is indeed Walter.

Christine's fight to prove the child's true identity becomes a harrowing journey as she faces corruption within the police department and uncovers a larger conspiracy. As she becomes more determined to unveil the truth, she finds herself battling a powerful and corrupt system.

"Changeling" received positive reviews for its performances, particularly Angelina Jolie's portrayal of Christine Collins, as well as Clint Eastwood's direction. The film explores themes of corruption, justice, and the strength of a mother's love. Angelina Jolie earned several award nominations for her role, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

While the film takes some creative liberties with the historical events, it sheds light on the challenges faced by Christine Collins and the broader issues of corruption and abuse of power within the Los Angeles Police Department during that era.
