Conversation #37: Toxic Achievement
Jan 05, 2024
Christie Love, Holly Madden, Shurita Thomas-Tate, Rue Lohn, Phil Snider

This week our much-smaller-than-normal team, Christie, Rue, and Holly, began 2024's episodes with a conversation around Toxic Achievement. This conversation was prompted by our cultural goal-driven norm to constantly be doing and achieving, a cultural pressure that often feels heaviest at the start of the New Year.

Our team also announced that that there will be multiple opportunities to connect to FTC Live Events this year.  Follow our group (below) for updates on these events!

We hope 2024 is coming to you with capacity for rest and care. We celebrate your becoming that is not connected to your achieving.

We hope you are able to find a safe, supportive community in your deconstructing because "no one deserves to deconstruct alone" as we mentioned during week 17. Our Flipped Table Theology Facebook group may be a starting place for you and we encourage anyone who is deconstructing or processing religious trauma to join.

The Flipped Table Theology Podcast is a production of The Flipped Table Collective. You can explore all of the resources, classes, events, and trainings that the Flipped Table Collective has to offer at www.flippedtablecollective.com.
