Welcome to Surrogacy Talk with me, your fabulous host and family building expert, Frank Golden. I'll be talking about surrogacy, IVF, and making babies. Hi, everyone. Welcome to Surrogacy Talk with me, Frank Golden, the agency director and founder of Golden Surrogacy, one of the nation's leading surrogacy agencies. And I am so excited that today I get to speak with you about Golden's origin story. But before I dive into that, I would like to remind all of you to please follow us on all of our social media handles to always receive the updated content that we have put out. Okay. Now, I oftentimes get asked, "How did you start the company? Where was the inspiration for Golden? How did you get started?" Okay. So my husband, Adam and I, we began researching surrogacy in 2010, and that was actually before we were civil unionized in 2011 because we knew that the surrogacy process would potentially take an unlimited number of, you know, months or years, we really didn't know what to expect there so we wanted to get started. And we embarked with a surrogacy agency in 2011 and things moved quite rapidly. And our daughter was born in the fall of 2012. Sophia was born in 2012. And after that journey and that experience we decided to build our own company. We, or I should say Adam, was the was the inspiration for that. He said, "Yiou know, sweetie, you could, you could start an agency yourself, you could do this." And so during that time we were kind of recruiting surrogates for our journey and getting our feet wet with that whole experience. And we started the company then a year later in 2013 and he was right. I instantly had a knack for it. I absolutely love everything that we're doing with the company. But it was that surrogacy experience that we had that was the ignition, the fuel for that passion. And I remember sitting there looking at our daughter in the delivery room thinking how special that was, how everyone deserves a family. And I'm sure in one of my other segments, I'll dive into how I came up with our, with our company slogan, but it's very special, very near and dear to my heart, the entire experience. And I knew that I could do good in the industry. I could bring something different, something special. In my view, in my opinion, one of the things that I thought was missing was really the heart in the service aspect, because when you're dealing with attorneys and reproductive endocrinologist and other people in the industry, it could kind of feel a little cold, a little sterile. And I wanted to bring service to it and a sense of warmth. And I was right. That was missing in the industry. And I think what we bring to the industry is, is that compassion, is that understanding. And so that really is the embodiment of Golden Surrogacy and the passion and the inspiration to what led us to found the company. And so today, now we are, we are at the helm, we are both full time, active, managing, and overseeing all of the journeys that take place here at Golden. I snatched Adam away from the I.T. sector. He worked full time in I.T. and then after the first two years of running the company, I said, "We actually need you at Golden. We need you to help us out here." And he is an integral part of our company. He does all of our operations, our infrastructure, our accounting, our payroll, our H.R., he's our go-to, our guru. If you don't know something, Adam probably knows the answer. And so he is vital to everything we do here at the company. Not only did he inspire me and tell me that I could do this, but now he's made himself an integral part, and we couldn't run the company without him. So we are, we are passionately committed to everything that we do. We are hands on owners. And I am so happy to have made this shift in my life to create the company. We have done so much good. We have created all of these children now in the world. And we are just getting started. I am excited to see what we have yet ahead of us to do still. So stay tuned, keep your eye on Golden.
