I am Frank Golden, the agency director and founder of Golden Surrogacy. And today I have a fantastic topic to discuss with all of you. Does my surrogacy agency have to be local? Thank you. Now, oftentimes I'm on the internet looking at various threads, and I always see everyone asking about surrogacy agency recommendations local to me. And it's really important to understand that no, your surrogacy agency does not need to be local to you and this applies to both Surrogates and Intended Parents. That's really important. As a Surrogate, you will never have to visit your surrogacy agency in person. As an Intended Parent, you will never have to visit your surrogacy agency in person. I would say over the last decade we've probably had a number. Less than ten of our Intended Parents and Surrogates visit the office. And the reason for that is because not just here at Golden, but all surrogacy agencies operate really on an international level where we have Intended Parents in basically all of the states just kind of scattered around. Of course, some of the larger states, higher percentage, and same with our Surrogates. We have Surrogates all over the country and we're here in Illinois. And so it's really eye-opening because a lot of people don't understand that they think that, okay, well, we'll visit the surrogacy agency and they're going to need us to constantly come in and fill out paperwork. That is just not true. Everything that we do and facilitate on behalf of you to make sure the ever fantastic journey, is done usually via the phone, email, video conference. We are constantly working the wire, if you will, managing your surrogacy journey on a remote basis. The the in-person things--and by the way, this applies to attorneys too on the legal side. The in-person components of your surrogacy journey would be that conducted by the fertility center. That's where all the medical stuff takes place. So of course, you need a lab and you need cryopreservation storage units and all of that but essentially all of the other components operate on a remote basis. So what's really key here is that you find a surrogacy agency that meets all of your values, that meets all of your expectations for how you want your surrogacy journey to be managed and please, please do not limit yourself to what is locally available or the local option, because you may live in a very rural state that has no surrogacy agency or maybe just one option, and then you're really limiting yourself to what's available. You really want the absolute best providers available because this is such an important process. Surrogacy and managing a surrogacy journey is such an intricate and complex process that you really shouldn't leave it to chance. Don't leave it to just the local option. Do your research, jump online and look for the best surrogacy agency for you, regardless of location. And that's all I have for you today.
