The animal advocacy world is a beautiful space to be a part of, but it's also a really DARK one. Within the animal advocacy world, we ALL care for animals, or else we wouldn't be a part of it. With that comes many different opinions, perspectives & life experiences.
While there is a lot of LOVE for animals among animal advocates, I have also noticed a lot of CONFLICT & CONFRONTATION between humans within the animal advocacy world. I understand that a lot of that conflict comes from a loving place & is backed by the motivation to educate & wake people up to the terrors that animals live through every day. & I genuinely do get that.
However, I also feel that the animal advocacy space needs a lot more LOVE between humans. I say this because I feel we can do SO much more to make this world more beautiful for animals if we stopped fighting with one another and instead came together to LEARN & TEACH each other in a welcoming & loving way.
Let's start spreading more LOVE & ACCEPTANCE to one another. Let's WELCOME one another to learn, grow & do better by animals each day. Let's treat animals with kindness. Let's treat other humans with kindness.
I truly believe that if we all start approaching our conversations in a KIND & LOVING way, rather than one that is CONFRONTATIONAL & JUDGMENTAL, that we will be able to create A LOT more impact in this world for animals.
