Speaker 1:

Henry Patterson. Here we are, Jack.

Speaker 2:

Jenkins, does this not feel weird? It does feel weird. It also feels like we've been lying to everyone, saying we'll be back in a week.

Speaker 1:

We've been coming back to this podcast since. Well, was it March? We said we'd come back. This is a particularly strange episode as well, because it's the first proper day of sunshine we've had, the first day we've been out on the South Terrace.

Speaker 2:

And the first day we've ever recorded a podcast outdoors, outside.

Speaker 1:

Should we do that again?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Outside yeah.

Speaker 1:

And this is glorious. It feels like we are on Bake Off, just without the cake yeah, or the tent, or Prue Leith yeah or.

Speaker 2:

Paul Hollywood. It's quite a strange man, Paul Hollywood. He does a little bit.

Speaker 1:

I don't know why it's like intense eyes, yeah, very intense.

Speaker 2:

It's like a white walker from Game of Thrones. What colour do you reckon his plates are at home?

Speaker 1:

Ooh, do you imagine he has, like China, blue plates Like Wedgwood? Well, like an Ocean Rooms. Not an Ocean Rooms, ocean.

Speaker 2:

Rooms Like a Wetherspoons Rest in peace. Ocean Rooms yes.

Speaker 1:

It's because somebody was talking to me about Ocean Rooms just five minutes ago in the corridor Do most of our clientele explore Ocean Rooms. No, but I think they probably were stalking me and said what are weekends now?

Speaker 2:

like a baby, reindeer baby. Well, do we even go into that?

Speaker 1:

no, we don't go into that topic I, I, I don't think we can no, legally probably not, no, no we don't want to be sued, no we don't know who knows who could be sued.

Speaker 1:

No, um, but what? It's good to be back. Season three, episode one crazy, I do need to point out as well. Did we start off the first season and I had no voice? We're starting off season three and I have barely a voice. Didn't we also end a season and you had no voice as well? Did we start off the first season and I had no voice?

Speaker 2:

we're starting off season three and I have barely a voice, didn't we also end a season and you had no voice as well.

Speaker 1:

It's some sort of consistency thing happening you should always have no voice. Yeah, I don't know if that helps things or not, but well, I think when recording a podcast, it's not great yeah, and I suppose we should mention this, um, because we can always cut it out if it never works out, but we're also filming this one as well. Hello, we're gonna wave at the camera now.

Speaker 2:

It doesn't mean anything to if you're listening to this um, I've left my sunglasses at home, so I'm staring into the sun, so it looks like I can't. Well, don't damage your eyes, no, that's why I'm gonna look down or use my notebook as a shield. That's great mate, that.

Speaker 1:

That makes the camera shot a lot better. I think it does things quite considerably. Why don't you draw a face on the page the other side? That's a great idea.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so it's been a year since season one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Happy birthday. All exclusive podcast.

Speaker 2:

I know I keep. We keep doing things on the anniversary of episodes, which is obvious because a year goes by. But, we recorded the episode with Roxy on the day of my first concert, but I was on stage and then realised it was the anniversary of me getting drunk for the first time how strange is that?

Speaker 1:

because, yes, I mean, there's a lot happened not just across the year in the world, but in our lives as well, and, yes, you've had some hugely successful concerts in London you've come to both of them as well all of them so far but is incredible all two of them, but they've been sellout shows and actually I'm gonna I don't mean to start the season off by being nice early but I'm actually quite proud of you.

Speaker 2:

Well, thank you so much because, no, what an achievement.

Speaker 1:

Thank you um what a touching moment to be sat on the family green. It was interesting. I do expect to be paid because you know it was coming in, it was full of Potter's people and I went around and I basically acted as the maitre d' for most of them.

Speaker 2:

You were like the Fred Cyriax.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and can we talk about the first one? Oh, my goodness. It's so good. How funny was that so for so many?

Speaker 2:

reasons. That first one was was great. So I was terrified, absolutely terrified, um, and spent the journey the taxi over telepheasantry like just really nervous, yeah. And then islands in this dream came on on the radio, which made me kind of laugh because I was like, oh, that's a reminder of, I guess, what's what's going down, yes, and then we do our band call and I go into the dressing room and as soon as doors open, all I can hear is how are you Nice to see you? For about half an hour, until the show which was immediately calming me down that is Mark Brewer, if you haven't guessed already. But what I didn't know was the events that were going on on table 116.

Speaker 1:

Oh, table 116. Yes, so I met up with Rob Eaves. We had some lunch beforehand, love Rob Eaves. And then we met up with Mark and Claire and we made our way to the pheasantry.

Speaker 2:

And we also met up with our friend who we have to bleep his name out F*** from the Met met up with our friend who we have to bleep his name out from the met and, just to clarify, met police not met gala. Yeah, oh yes yeah, just although he could have gone this year, he could have done some great, great clothes isn't that always?

Speaker 1:

uh, I always love sort of social media the next day anyway, we're going off topic. Sorry already a tangent. No and um, it was the table. Selection was how you booked your tickets. Now, mark and Claire, um, the, the, the actual maitre d' took down their names and then took them to their table.

Speaker 2:

He's a frightening man. That maitre d he's a very strange, he's very serious.

Speaker 1:

And then the next. Uh, obviously they went up to Rob and he booked the tickets for him and Jamie, so he took them to and he, he went. Jack Jenkins, yes, yes, I've got your table. We start heading towards the table and I keep getting stopped to talk to people. I keep bumping into people saying hello, so the maitre d' just carries on walking.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he must have loved that, because he's very accommodating Well yes, he wasn't very happy about the fact that I stopped at every single table to say hello and he had to keep coming back for me. Anyway, he takes me to the other side of the steps and by steps.

Speaker 2:

Jack does mean a full sweeping staircase like the one in the garden restaurant.

Speaker 1:

Yes, a full sweeping staircase and I was on a solitary table for one, the other side behind the stairs, which you can't actually see the stage. It was a lovely view of the back of your head. However, um, I did, I caused a bit of a scene. I did cause a bit of a scene. I started kicking off and then I started dragging chairs over from the other tables again. I don't think the maitre d is my um best friend. He's not friends with anyone, um, but at the end I had a queue of people, we had a bit of a chat and I ended up. I ended up on a table with John and Celia Potter and Amelia, because he rescued you.

Speaker 2:

He did. He came over along the lines of I can't leave you there like that.

Speaker 1:

It was something along those lines definitely yes and it was just an interesting experience all around. But thank you very much, john Potter, for coming and rescuing me and and having a lovely dinner with me as well and for all of your love and support over the years and for telling your truth.

Speaker 2:

We see you.

Speaker 1:

Is this an early Gratitude Corner? No, here we go. Gratitude Corner John Potter, I'm grateful for you, we're so grateful for you. It's the quickest Gratitude Corner I think we've ever done in our entire lives. I didn't realise because we were halfway through it, and then I realised what we were doing, because all it's going to be is Gratitude.

Speaker 2:

Corner, we're so grateful for you. It's going to be that long yeah.

Speaker 1:

John Potter. I'm grateful for you.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, Just as we said that a door slammed on Bungalow F3. Damn you, Bungalow.

Speaker 1:

F3. Yeah, free, yeah, talking about your, um, talking about your concerts, is it a bit strange, because I'm not entirely sure if we can talk about the venue as a brand. Yep, however, um, obviously you're singing. You've got a fantastic band behind you, wonderful band, um, and everybody's eating pizza around you. How does that sound?

Speaker 2:

that's nice, it's it's actually really lovely. It's like asmr. So I've got a couple of favorite cabaret venues, 54 below being one of them. I'm sure they won't mind if I say that it's in new york yeah, they're like a register. No, um, I mean it's hardly comparable to the garden bar no, there's something quite nice about the kind of quiet clatter of plates as you're singing, as you're eating as you're eating, um, but as you're singing, as you're eating, as you're eating, but as you're singing, unless I mean we had the incident of the phone going off in the last one.

Speaker 2:

Yes, we did, didn't we. Which was testament to Lee, In fact. I'm going to put that clip in.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'll play a little bit, because it was incredible.

Speaker 2:

So the copyright doesn't apply, jack, because that's the beauty. That's why we should always create our own material. Very young I don't know how young I was but I had a. Oh, I've got an accompaniment for that as well. We should get that pianist next time. Just Do you hate it when people show off like that? That was, it's really nice. It's actually the best part so far.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, no, what an incredible evening. And you've got a few more, I've got a few more.

Speaker 2:

September, with Mark Brewer as the warm-up which will be. I've not told my producer about Mark yet, oh dear, and he's, doug's, quite frightening as well. Yeah, so that's going to be an interesting it will be. Yeah, I think I'll be shouted at in the interval.

Speaker 1:

I'm looking forward to that evening.

Speaker 2:

September, that one isn't it September, yeah indeed, and then November, with a Christmas one where I want to put Roxy in a comedy outfit, but I'm not sure what outfit yet like a mince pie no, like a big hard shell.

Speaker 1:

yes, yeah, so she can't really get onto the stage properly.

Speaker 2:

No, but then have her sing a really serious song.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah I I don't know if I've got tickets for the november one. I've got tickets for the september we can get you in. Somehow do I want to see it a fourth time. Oh, it's christmas, so it's gonna be different.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's different. Well, maybe I'll come to watch jack. What updates are there in your life? Um, um bear in mind. The podcast can only last about an hour. My life.

Speaker 1:

What's up? Well, obviously, at the end of season, uh, two moved into my house. We did an episode from my house. We did uh, which was lovely. Um, my house is slowly being decorated. I'm still still sorting out pictures and things for the wall.

Speaker 2:

Um I know some great artists. I can put you in touch with.

Speaker 1:

Maybe we'll sort that out. Yeah, yeah, I'm printing some off and there's some of, there's some of you.

Speaker 2:

Well, there's one of you at least maybe not some there is definitely one of me and you that we posted no, I don't definitely know if I need um what about the nice family picture, one of me, you and mark? That looks slightly like a kind of generational photo, one you know of us, in front of the p.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I haven't. I don't know if I have printed that one off, but maybe it's a nice picture, like I'm going to a funeral. Yes, I think at one point we spoke last season about how happy I was in my relationship. How's that going?

Speaker 2:

that ended, oh, that ended shortly after, actually, yeah, not long after saying do you know what I think I've Found? The one.

Speaker 1:

Found the one, I think it's all going well and then it ended.

Speaker 2:

So that's an update. I'm sorry about that, jack.

Speaker 1:

No but I have a cat now.

Speaker 2:

You didn't know you were going to have a cat I've inherited a cat now, so I've got that, but he's great.

Speaker 1:

Lucifer, yeah, he's got a good company.

Speaker 2:

So he's a good little cat, that cat Fairy creature.

Speaker 1:

Yep, and you have a cat.

Speaker 2:

We spend every day together, so it's just you and him Yep, Not to rub it in Jack, but we can talk more about it if you want.

Speaker 1:

I think I don't know. We've always said these podcasts are like therapy sessions, but um absolutely no, I'm. I'm actually quite good to be fair. Wonderful, jack, are you in a good place? How are you, henry?

Speaker 2:

well, jack? First of all, thank you for telling your truth. We see you. Yeah, thank you. Are you gonna keep saying that? Yeah, it came from the potter's advocate podcast I did with mike. Oh, yes, I did watch that. Yeah, that was boring, wasn't it?

Speaker 1:

it was a bit boring 15 minutes not your best work wow, look, it was mike scott jack uh, who I'm nicknaming from now on, I think.

Speaker 2:

I think people won't know who mike scott is, so I think he had a whole now on podcast episode that he kept.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I know we are going to. I'm going to refer to him continuously as the great scott makes him sound like a kind of breed of whippet, like a subspecies he is sort of our overseer of this podcast and he listens to it and I think if we give him the recognition that he wants, then he won't censor things.

Speaker 2:

Talking of censoring things, it's very important, jack.

Speaker 1:

I think we are starting off a new campaign, we're turning over a new leaf, yes, a new season previous years. Um, you may not realize, I'm gonna look directly down the camera now I can't really, because I'm not wearing sunglasses. In previous seasons of the podcast we have been kept silent about a firm favorite here at hopton on sea, a favorite item dish dish egg-based produce that was removed from the menu.

Speaker 2:

And subsequently every podcast episode. It was censored.

Speaker 1:

The all-exclusive podcast is now running the campaign to bring back Omelettes and we will not be silenced. We aim to bring back omelettes, not just here.

Speaker 2:

You really don't know where you're going with this, do you? You could really feel that, couldn't you?

Speaker 1:

We aim to bring back omelettes not just here at Hopton on sea, but also at Five Lakes, wow. Or, as a guest said to you yesterday, three ponds, three ponds yes, they did refer to it as three ponds, but we think omelettes are everyone's God-given right. Don't you think, God? God-given right? Don't you think God-given? I don't know. Let me rephrase that we think that omelettes are everybody's natural-born right and we at the all-exclusive podcast want to bring you omelettes, Don't we, Henry Well?

Speaker 2:

not personally. I'm actually busy for that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, I would like omelettes to be made for you. I don't want to bring the omelets. What's your favorite omelet filling? Oh, I mean, how can you choose?

Speaker 2:

to be honest, jack, I've not had one in so long. No, it's been a while because we aren't allowed them we haven't even been allowed to talk about them.

Speaker 1:

But today we are breaking that embargo yeah is there anything you'd like to say?

Speaker 2:

no, I think it's. It's actually too overwhelming for me to talk about that. Obviously, in season two we announced Jack's Drive to Save Lives.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, another thing that's been happening this year the charity extravaganza. That's why I put my little Nas Teddy on the table as well, holding wings with the puffin. Yeah, because that's the unity of Jack's Drive to Save Lives with the all-exclusive podcast. I've got some challenges coming up very soon. You've got the M coming up very soon. You've got the mold and mud race.

Speaker 2:

The mold and mud race on june the 2nd which I had a guest come up to me and go. You know jack is gonna like you won't want to go near him for a couple of days afterwards because apparently the smell of the mud it's not just like regular mud, it's like really horrible feces, infused mud it could work as a henry repellent.

Speaker 1:

I like the sound of this actually yeah, or you could get dysentery well, this could be my last, first podcast back and last podcast back, I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Hopefully we'll record a few by then yeah, I mean, we want something for your funeral. Yeah, fair enough. Speaking of last year as well, um, did you know? My favorite news story of last year was that the water vole reintroduction is working in the uk good, yeah, let's.

Speaker 1:

Let's recap some stuff over the year that we haven't been able to talk about, because I think that's the top the water bowl has been reintroduced introduced.

Speaker 2:

Well, it's working. They're trying to reintroduce more water voles, right, if you've seen a water vole jack?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Great Next story.

Speaker 1:

In what areas are the Waterfall most? Sorry, I'm sorry. This is our first episode back in season three. Are we going to bore people with the reintroduction of Waterfall?

Speaker 2:

Not really, because, to be honest, if you want to ask any questions, I only wrote in my notebook Waterfall reintroduction works in the UK. I didn't write any further details about the waterfalls james r hern is back.

Speaker 1:

That's a big story. That is a big news story. James r hern is back, more unhinged than ever, hopton on sea and he yeah, he's coming to cover because mark brewer has had his knee operation. That's quite a bit not that he's mentioned it no, not really, and maybe we will do a rehabilitation episode with Mark.

Speaker 2:

That's a great idea Doing exercises, learning about the operation Apparently and I'm not going to ruin this story. Well, I am going to ruin this story, but when he went to have his operation, he walked into the operating theatre and the doctor he was friends with, michelle Miles. The doctor had been sent and was playing as he walked in this is the moment.

Speaker 1:

Now. We're going to wait until Mark tells the story on the podcast, and then we will play a little clip of him doing that. I think that would be quite a cute little thing to do.

Speaker 2:

And then, when he woke up, it was him as Cher or something.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, he hadn't woken up from the operation and suddenly he was Cher. That's a different type of operation completely different you were only supposed to take off my knees, cher. Yeah, yeah, no. So it would be great to have Mark back on the podcast that's in an upcoming episode, because we're going to change things. We're going to do things a little bit more relaxed this season, aren't we?

Speaker 2:

We can't be bothered for all of that. Last time it's going to be more relaxed.

Speaker 1:

I think it's a bit more relaxed. We're going to have a few more challenges between ourselves as well. Absolutely. And then have some guests feature with us on some episodes.

Speaker 2:

Well, look at us now. We're sat on the family green, but no, I I'm already liking the relaxed vibe of this episode yeah, I mean we're outside.

Speaker 1:

Look at this, we might do some more trips out as well totally go on a little excursion big news story that happened here recently.

Speaker 2:

Was our spotlight show opened?

Speaker 1:

yes, brand new show at both hopton on sea and five on lakes.

Speaker 2:

Um, yeah, mean this is your first show, and let's talk about this journey, because it's kind of like putting Russell Crowe in Les Mis.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if I want to, sorry. Are you comparing me to Russell? Because Russell Crowe in Les Mis was not particularly widely received?

Speaker 2:

well, well no, but we all admire him for learning to sing for a role I've never heard any admiration for I admire russell crowe and I admire you, jack. Thank you, you, jackman, was also in mademoiselle rob. The major motion picture was did you like that? Not, really no no, I think you did um, but you've learned to sing, just to be in spotlight yes, I mean, it wasn't my choice.

Speaker 1:

No, you were forced to, I was forced to. But yes, I am. I'm doing more vocal roles in spotlight.

Speaker 2:

You play motor mouth mabel I play edna, but the?

Speaker 1:

um original producer of the show. Um messed up. Which role was which?

Speaker 2:

yes, so you are wearing one costume. I'm wearing the lyrics of another.

Speaker 1:

Yes, wearing the costume of one and a character and singing the lyrics of another completely different character, um in a. I mean it's an easy mistake to make when putting together and producing a um five star show. It's it's an easy mistake to make by accidentally confusing different characters.

Speaker 2:

There's a lot to think about in show creation. Yeah, it's a lot, and that one sometimes doesn't cross people's minds.

Speaker 1:

But talking of show creation, Henry, friend of the podcast and first ever guest, is now embarking on a new challenge of creative producer and producing brand new shows for Potter's Resorts, both Five Lakes and Hopton on Sea.

Speaker 2:

Roxy Arnold.

Speaker 1:

Yes, roxy Arnold, she's now. At the moment, we're putting together, yourself included, as assisting with it as well. I'm helping with little bits, but we're putting together the brand new version of Simply the Best.

Speaker 2:

Simply the Best. That song still doesn't feature in the show not.

Speaker 1:

No, it doesn't, does it never will we do have a habit of calling shows. In the past we have got a habit in the usa no, born in the usa but spotlight.

Speaker 2:

There's not a single song called spotlight in that show. Is there a song called spotlight? Of course there's a song called spotlight jack uh, but yeah, she's um creating shows now.

Speaker 1:

uh, and yeah, brand brand new. Simply the Best is being revamped. Actually, still my favourite show, still one of my favourite shows, simply the Best but it's getting a complete revamp for summer 2024.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's going to be like Sharon Osbourne every couple of years. Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1:

Yes, it's getting a facelift.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

There is a very sad thing that happened this year, because I know on especially on the first season we talked about, um, what we would do for our lunch. Quite frequently.

Speaker 1:

We can't bring this up on the podcast in the past we have talked about people's ideal co-op meal deal and how much we enjoyed the co-op meal deal. We did and um, unfortunately the petrol station co-op across the road as you come into hopton on sea is no more. They have turned it into another supermarket. Are we allowed to say that I've been saying co-op meal deal?

Speaker 1:

for a while they've turned it into an asda oh god, don't say it asda. And unfortunately, for some reason, as they have neglected to stock the shelves for many a day with anything.

Speaker 2:

So, yeah, so there's. So that's no more. I think they have stocked it now, but it's just not the same. It's been a bad year for co-op so far, hasn't it? Yeah?

Speaker 1:

they're doing well with march. Oh, yes, well, the um, the arena, the arena, yeah I mean they should have stuck to meal deals.

Speaker 2:

I don't know why they thought meal deals to Nicki Minaj was a good idea. They don't often follow in the same progression, do they, Jack? It's not ideal.

Speaker 1:

And I thought you know a friend of ours was going to produce energy for the co-op but it never took off.

Speaker 2:

It's because it changed to an Asda. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1:

Anyway.

Speaker 2:

so yes, the co-op is no more the co-op is no more the co-op meal deal, we're having to lay to rest. How do we fill our days now that the co-op's not?

Speaker 1:

there. I'll just come round mine for lunch, I suppose. True, we will now be paying tribute to the co-op meal deal by listing some of our favourite selections. Henry, would you like to go first?

Speaker 2:

Chicken and duck sushi £2.49. Would you like to go first?

Speaker 1:

Chicken and duck sushi £2.49.

Speaker 2:

Cheese and ham wrap £1.95. Chicken Caesar wrap £1.99.

Speaker 1:

The Christmas special brie and cranberry £2.05.

Speaker 2:

Knick-knacks, grab bag £1.23. Flapjack £1.05.

Speaker 1:

Knickknack Scrab Bag £1.23. Flapjack £1.

Speaker 2:

Stop it. Ribena Light £1.79.

Speaker 1:

Innocent Smoothie £1.85.

Speaker 2:

Bounty Duo £1.85. Bounty Duo £1.24.

Speaker 1:

Scotch egg £1.65.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Altogether £3.50 with a membership card.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to be honest. I think we made all those prices up.

Speaker 2:

Oh, 100%. There's no way you could get an innocent smoothie for under £2.

Speaker 1:

No, that's true, I should have really thought about that when I was thinking about it.

Speaker 2:

We should have got a price list. Really, have you been watching anything good on TV or film recently, Jack?

Speaker 1:

I think a feature that we need to introduce to this podcast is. I mean, there's a lot of times we've talked about films and you've not seen some classic films.

Speaker 2:

Nor have you, though.

Speaker 1:

No, there's some films that I haven't seen either.

Speaker 2:

I think what we need to do is educate each other and have a bit of a film review each week, yes, so like educating Joey Essex, but educating Jack Jenkins and Henry Patterson, host of the All Exclusive podcast still the second best podcast in Hopton-on-Sea.

Speaker 1:

It's a bit of a mouthful, but, yeah, stand by that hashtag. So I think let's set each other a task to watch a film each week. Yes, let's Sometimes together, but I don't know if I can sit through some.

Speaker 2:

Oh, we can, Jack. We can share a popcorn and hold hands again. Definitely not hand jack.

Speaker 1:

We can share a popcorn and hold hands again.

Speaker 2:

Definitely not, you know, if james, we are by the sea, inconsiderate, trying to record a podcast you know, if james, our hern, was here um in this moment, he would have said about yes, he would. You have just reminded me of how, when we go to record James' episode, which is next week's episode, the edit will be so extensively long Because of all the things I have to cut out or censor.

Speaker 1:

We will not be able to feature a lot of things in that. No, that's a wasp, and this is the issue with filming outside but on a glorious sunny day, I actually don't think it was a wasp. Can you remember? We had a conversation in one of our episodes about? My favourite thing about wasps was the fact that if a fly comes near you, people panic exactly like that. Thanks, we'll cut that bit out. No, we won't, we're going to keep that bit in. If you could go on any reality TV programme, what would it be?

Speaker 2:

I can tell you ones, it wouldn't be.

Speaker 1:

Well, that's not the question. Well, no, because I was watching. You can't just make up your own question Because I was watching and I feel bad for saying this and slightly violently sick Celebrity Big Brother this year. I really enjoyed Big Brother this year, but I went on holiday while Celebrity Big Brother was on, so I missed it.

Speaker 2:

I was the opposite. So I didn't watch Big Brother, or at least I watched two episodes and turned it off. But I did watch Celebrity Big Brother and it quickly made me realise how I could never go on it.

Speaker 1:

Why so?

Speaker 2:

I think I would get too annoyed by people and I would forget that I was on camera I think I'd do it, I think I would do big brother.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if I would jack you sure? Yeah, I mean, I mean this your reputation. House to be fair yeah, do you know what I mean?

Speaker 2:

I also couldn't deal with sleeping in a room with 12 people yeah, yeah, that would be a little bit that's quite you get used to that.

Speaker 1:

Well, I did boarding school, didn't I? Yes, you did. How many people were in your dorm?

Speaker 2:

so when I was in waterloo, because they were named after battles. Um, of course they were so when I was in.

Speaker 1:

Waterloo. You were in Waterloo. What were the other ones?

Speaker 2:

Trafalgar. So I stayed in Waterloo, trafalgar and Bob Battle of Britain.

Speaker 1:

Bob yeah, love it if you were in. Bob, that's boarding school life, that is. That's a new jingle. I would I mean, even I'm a a celebrity get me out of here. I think I would love to oh, I'd love doing that. Yeah, I would love doing that what, but is so what one would you do then? We never got to the answer okay, so I would definitely do.

Speaker 2:

I'm a celebrity. Yeah, I would do. Um, I couldn't do four in a bed why is that?

Speaker 1:

because you couldn't have people.

Speaker 2:

Rating b&b is freaking me out yeah, when I see pine furniture, I can't, oh my god, I can't do that. And you know, they'll have like a kind of thin, thin burgundy carpet with their pine furniture and, yeah, I, I can't I can't.

Speaker 1:

If you were on, come dine with me. What would be your? What would you serve?

Speaker 2:

poached eggs because that's the only thing you could cook and I once made jess from the potter's theater company a quesadilla yeah and almost killed her oh well, that's why she's no longer here. That's, that is why no. What else can I cook? No, I can cook other things chicken, what, what? How have you cooked your chicken? Just a grilled chicken breast.

Speaker 1:

I've recently been making. I haven't had you around for tea recently, james came around.

Speaker 2:

I've only been around once. Yeah, for dinner at yours, possibly. Yeah, we had fajitas, didn't we?

Speaker 1:

we did actually cook. James meat is the other week is that all you can make? No, no, no, not at all. No, I could all sorts of what would you make? Um. Recently I've been really making this lovely like um chicken and coriander like creamy dish. It's really nice I don't understand. Stephen fry hates coriander what is there to hate about he?

Speaker 2:

thinks it tastes like fairy liquid. I've heard this on another podcast yeah, as well.

Speaker 1:

Like is it coriander yes, it is coriander what's that all about? I think certain people can taste something different in coriander but we put coriander on everything here.

Speaker 2:

Have you seen our salad bar? We just shave coriander over everything. It's a bit weird. I like coriander. Our cucumber shaved with coriander this is sometimes, isn't it? Yeah, I'd quite like to learn how to cook more. It got me thinking before we started to record this episode before season four. If there is a season four, yes, which I think is unlikely struggle to get season three out.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because our lives have just been too busy but when we do release season four in early 2030, is there any life skill that you want to have learned by then?

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's a great question. Life skill I would have liked to have learned.

Speaker 2:

Well, still have time, you aren't dead.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, no, I would like to have learned by then. Oh right, Okay, I would like to have learnt by then. Oh right, okay. I'm trying to think of what sort of life skills I haven't currently got. Quite a few. What life skills have I not?

Speaker 2:

got, can you crochet?

Speaker 1:

No, cross-stitch Ride a unicycle. Is that a life skill? I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I'd quite like to learn how to play squash.

Speaker 1:

I don't. Squash is one of the sports. I'm like I just really no, you wouldn't. You would hate squash, would I? Why it's too energetic for you. Yeah, I can't do that, then. Squash is too energetic for me I don't understand golf.

Speaker 2:

I hate golf and I know we have a whole golf resort, but I hate it I'm not into.

Speaker 1:

oh, golf is fine, no is fine, no, it's not.

Speaker 2:

Why do people want to and I'm speaking directly to you, john, here when I say this and feel free to text me with your answer and I'll read it out but what is there to enjoy about golf? You're just stood in a field hitting something.

Speaker 1:

We are sat in a field right now. Yeah, yeah, but it's like having conversation and then you've got a name at the end of it. Actually, I'd like to play more golf.

Speaker 2:

Have fun, Jack.

Speaker 1:

I think it's because you're bad at golf.

Speaker 2:

I've never played golf, I don't want to play golf.

Speaker 1:

Maybe one day she would play golf.

Speaker 2:

If someone can convince me why I should play golf.

Speaker 1:

Why don't we make that a name before a future episode of the podcast?

Speaker 2:

Why don't?

Speaker 1:

we just do it in an episode Henry and Jack play golf. Go and play golf Episode six. It doesn't have to be that. No, episode six, I will go play golf, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because I want to go to Five Lakes soon.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we'll go there if you want. Or shall I take you to a pitch and putt nearby? Oh, we've got one here.

Speaker 2:

Five Lakes Jack.

Speaker 1:

Jack and Henry will go to Five Lakes and we will play a round of golf.

Speaker 2:

As long as we have the all-inclusive package.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Well, you've won a trip. So for the social media weekend there was a competition. It was a bowls competition, wasn't it? And everybody at the social media weekend the all-exclusive social media weekend had the opportunity to win a weekend at Five Lakes with either myself, jack Jenkins or Henry Patterson.

Speaker 2:

And I thought they got to choose.

Speaker 1:

And it was Lynn Hawker, wasn't it?

Speaker 2:

And I was delighted when Lynn Hawker won, because A I really like Lynn so I'm happy for her that she won, and B I thought that she just got to pick and she would have picked Jack.

Speaker 1:

It's won and b. I thought that she just got to pick and she would have picked jack because it was a good job you really liked, lynn hawker because she picked you because it was it was random selection. So there was a sealed envelope, there was two of them.

Speaker 2:

She had to pick the envelope and, um yeah, inside it said henry patterson and I thought mike had rigged it and mike said I ruined our relationship because I then made him open the other one you didn't trust him at all, did you? That it said jack yeah because I thought, because he knew that I didn't want to go, not because I don't want to go to five lakes, but I just yeah, get yourself out of this one, henry, because you didn't want what I, I I'm quite a solitary person on holiday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I like to do things by myself.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm not overly conversational. You're not really a social person. No, I'm not. I'll be the first one to say that, yeah, and I just thought, if I want to break it five lakes, I'd quite like to do it kind of solo.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, that's not what you've got, because Liam and. David, they won the.

Speaker 2:

Well.

Speaker 1:

David kind of won. David won, but he handed it to Liam, basically.

Speaker 2:

I think Liam just snatched it off him, yeah and by a random selection. I still think there was some trickery.

Speaker 1:

Henry, would we ever do anything like that?

Speaker 2:

Henry, would we ever?

Speaker 1:

do anything like that? Yes, oh yeah, probably we would, wouldn't we? Yes, we would. Anyway, when is that booked in for? We're doing it in summer, I think. Yeah, yeah, oh well, well, maybe a game of golf during that break? Absolutely, but what an exciting time that'll be. Yeah, but why don't Jack and Henry try golf? Is there anything else we think we should try this season something different. So there's new films. We never got to the bottom of what film we need to watch this week. No, is there anything I'm trying to think? I think shawshank redemption, because it's a wonderful film, one of my favorite films always on tv, but you always end up watching it, and it's one of the is, wasn't it imdb's top best film of?

Speaker 2:

all time. So is that the one that we're watching together, and then am I giving you a film as well. So are we having two films that we're going to then come back and discuss I, what do we do?

Speaker 1:

one a week because, let's face it, we don't have the time to do two okay, I think you're just scared of what I'll say okay, what are you going to say I?

Speaker 2:

think I'm going to say chocolate what the hell's a chocolate chocolate? Chocolate or.

Speaker 1:

Chocolat, chocolat.

Speaker 2:

Or no. I'm changing mine. I'm changing mine. One of the worst, best films I think I've seen recently Upgraded. What is the film upgraded to. It's an Amazon Prime original.

Speaker 1:

Ladies, how are you doing All right? Thank you you all right? Yes, are you on tonight? Ladies, how are you doing All right? Thank you, are you all right? Yes, are you on tonight? Unfortunately for you?

Speaker 2:

yes, oh good.

Speaker 1:

Oh, thank you.

Speaker 2:

No, I didn't mean that. I meant good, you're very good. Oh, thank you very much. You do make me laugh.

Speaker 1:

I hope this has been picked up on the microphone oh sorry, yeah, no, keep going, they're difficult.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, see you later on. Anyway, the film Upgraded Jack, so it's an Amazon Prime original about a art assistant who gets on a flight and she dreams of opening her own studio and then she gets an upgrade to first class and then she meets this guy and it's really cheesy and terribly made, so it's called Upgraded.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, right, am I watching this independently of you?

Speaker 2:

No, let's watch it together. Have a picnic, sit on your floor, but look, jack the sun.

Speaker 1:

I'll tell you something you can re-listen to, though this is previous episodes of the all-exclusive podcast, before we do go I want to say, because obviously there's a lot of people who who've been coming, especially over the last couple of weeks, who've been saying how much they've enjoyed the podcast. So one final element of Gratitude, corner. I want to say a big thank you to all of our all exclusive listeners for celebrating our 10 year anniversary since we recorded our last episode.

Speaker 2:

It feels like that, doesn't it?

Speaker 1:

It does feel like that. But no, thank you for sticking with us and waiting out until season 3, but also everybody who's said some really lovely things, because we also got that letter and parcel from.

Speaker 2:

Leia. Yes, we did, which was really lovely. I thought, yes, we absolutely did. No, we didn't get the parcel from Leia. We sent her a letter.

Speaker 1:

Oh no so she sent us a letter with the drawings With the drawings. Yeah, yeah, Drawings in which was really lovely. So thank you and and no. So another element of gratitude corner.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that was nice. Well, Jack, the sun is setting on the family green.

Speaker 1:

All exclusive listeners. We have, should I say, our board members, our board members, we're grateful for you.

Speaker 2:

You're trying to wrap this up, yes, because Jack, as the sun sets.

Speaker 1:

Also, I know we mentioned the charity challenge earlier, but we didn't. I haven't said that currently we're at over halfway, over 15 000 pounds, which is absolutely fantastic because the aim is to raise 30 before the end of october.

Speaker 2:

Before you're 30 yeah, which keeps getting a laugh in the theater people can't believe.

Speaker 1:

It could not believe I'm 13 because they think you're 24.

Speaker 2:

Yes, that's what it is that's what it is.

Speaker 1:

That's what it is anyway, the sun is setting here I'm trying to steal my link, but as the sun sets on the family green. How does it feel to be back here recording for the all-exclusive podcast, season three?

Speaker 2:

it feels beautiful jack, it really does. And uh, and, as the sun sets, we've tried to do this link about 50 times as the sun sets on the family green. We are grateful for the podcast and do you know what, jack? I'm really excited for this season for more episodes featuring well us, hopefully, as well as guests next week being james r hern.

Speaker 1:

james r hern, we're gonna get, we're going to get him back at it, back at it again.

Speaker 2:

So, for now, all that's left for us to say is bye.

Speaker 1:

Well, that was boring.
