I pray that the roots of setbacks, storms, satanic attacks, and even self-sabotage erode, crumble, and wither away, to be replaced by the incorruptible strength, peace, and joy that only heaven can give that will neither change nor fade.

Nelieta Hollis:

I never know what Ways to Win Wednesday content is going to be from week to week. I have a thing and I know the general direction I want to go in, but I never know the specifics of the content or what I'm to say from Wednesday to Wednesday. I try to know, I try to get and stay ahead of the game. That's what all the greats say. Be consistent in your posting. I promised myself I'd take a day and write all my content, then another to record, and so on. That wasn't happening either. I stayed with writer's block until fairly recently when I stopped trying to get ahead and start moving with my heart. I stay on top of my classwork. I stay, you know, in sync, or try to stay in sync with my kids, these pets and the things that I can control, but I cannot control this. I want to welcome you to Ways to Win Wednesday At one degree, to victory. I am your hostess with the mostest, nelida Holland.

Nelieta Hollis:

It is June 19th, 2024. It's time to lock in, load up and lean in. That means reduce your distractions, gather your mental and emotional energy and focus that energy toward today's topic, consistently leaning into unpredictability. My attempt to get ahead with my content is a counterpoint to the natural, unpredictable flow of God's direction. Working through my creativity Listen I knew what I was going to say today. Yesterday, at 5.50 am, while driving my son to wrestling practice. Now, I'd written out something different for this episode, but you know those Hollywood scenes, the ones where a master martial artist, all decked out in their power stance, performs a move so powerful that they literally knock the soul straight out of their opponent, and you could see it. For me, that's what living in God's predictability is like. Whatever I thought I was at that moment, I thought I was just a mom driving her son to school, but no, whatever plans I had for sharing what I'd written previously, no Doing and being in the immediate future are erased and replaced. This is his alignment.

Nelieta Hollis:

Now our theme this month is triumphing over overwhelm, and this constant listener is part three. One of my favorite lines of scripture is John 4, 4, and it reads he must needs go through Samaria. Oh, I love that so much For so many reasons. Beautiful soul, this line speaks to my heart. One, because I was that woman alone and misunderstood. Two, because he met me at that well in my figurative Samaria. And three, because I found my voice of freedom at that. Well, I am going to diverge for a moment. I think it's good that we don't know her name, that she's known only by the moniker of woman at the well, because at some point, beautiful souls, at some point we are all that woman. We all experience loneliness, frustration and confusion. We all experience loneliness, frustration and confusion. We find ourselves in circumstances we'd much rather not be in, and it doesn't matter whether those circumstances are the result of the consequences of our decisions or not. We are not like the woman at the well. We are that woman at the well, and Jesus has come to meet us there.

Nelieta Hollis:

Now, how does the scripture help us manage overwhelm in our day-to-day lives? So first, don't think that you are not a creative because you don't participate in the online space. Humanity is designed to be fruitful and that simply means to produce. So, as a parent, you create peace and safety in the home. As a teacher, you create a safe space to learn, to evolve and to grow in the classroom. Whether it's a digital space or brick and mortar, it doesn't matter. I use those examples because those are my experiences. It doesn't matter what sector you influence. The question is what are you producing in the spaces you are occupying.

Nelieta Hollis:

God guided the journey through Samaria to create an impact. He guides us through our individual journeys, refining our ability to impact lives and circumstances our own and those around us. It's not always predictable or easy, and sometimes it may feel like we're not in control. But by trusting in God's guidance and aligning with the flow of our creativity, our heart's direction, we can not only navigate through overwhelm but also make meaningful contributions to our families, our friends, our communities and beyond. This is the essence of being a consistent creative. This is the essence of being a consistent creative. Being consistent and creative in the face of overwhelm requires us not to focus on what needs to be done but on what's more important.

Nelieta Hollis:

Yesterday I woke up with a list, a to do list that iser, my God, than a CVS receipt and we are not superhuman. And yet we task ourselves out with these long to-do lists and bullet points and outlines of what our day is going to look like and be like. But we cannot do it all. No matter how much coffee we drink or how many hours we squeeze out of the day, a must needs moment, beautiful souls, a must needs moment trumps any task on your to-do list every time. That doesn't mean you wear yourself to death. On the contrary, and I'm guilty of doing that in the past, jesus's disciples were buying food while he was ministering at the well. While I was preparing this podcast, I delegated the kitchen tasks to the same son who might take into wrestling practice at 5.50 in the morning that same morning.

Nelieta Hollis:

Your energy is precious. Direct it accordingly, especially when supernatural diversion and creative inspiration occur. The second point I want to make is that life is all about relationships Relationships with others, with ourselves and, most importantly, with God. When we focus on the relationship with him and allow him to guide us, we find that we're capable of more than we ever thought possible. Rest, rest in the unpredictability of life. Lean into the flow and make your impact.

Nelieta Hollis:

So now you know the link between overwhelm and unpredictability, and it's kind of counterintuitive. Until you start living in that space, will you trust in God's direction and allow yourself to be guided, or will you resist and try to control the uncontrollable? Will you choose to recognize and seize the unexpected moments of inspiration when they come, or will you dismiss them because they don't fit into your preconceived schedule or plan? Color-coded plans, beautiful souls. Be consistent with your trust.

Nelieta Hollis:

When you feel that nudge, don't make excuses. Don't question. Don't what if Don't? When? Just do. Don't question, don't what if don't? When? Just do. And you know, really, what this all boils down to is prioritizing God's way. I promise you you will have all the energy you need if you're unable to delegate, to accomplish today's tasks without succumbing to overwhelm. And really, when you move his way, there is no such thing as overwhelm the result of moving his way well, instead of circumstances impacting you, you will impact your circumstances. Let go of overwhelm, be open to a divinely inspired journey full of potential and necessary for maximum impact. Listen, follow us on our social media platforms Facebook, ig and TikTok. Share it, because I'd like that, and remember, beautiful souls, to love yourself a little more than you did yesterday. I love y'all. I gotta go.
