Take some time to reflect on the purpose of studying God's Word along with learning some practical tools and strategies that will help you in your quest to know God better and rely on Him each day.

The verse-by-verse Bible study starts in Lesson 1, but this intro podcast is an important first step in the study to discuss needed tools as well as establish the groundwork for our study.

We hope you'll be refreshed and encouraged as we begin this journey to know God better together!

Study Outline Example

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Psalm 119:105
Hebrews 4:12
Jeremiah 15:16

James 1:22-25

How to set-up the Logos Bible Study App to enable word searching:

First download the Logos Bible Study App by clicking here.

Register and create your Logos account (it’s free!)

Next we’ll access the online library (outside of the app) to obtain some resources for our study.

Go to https://www.logos.com and log-in with the username and password you just created.

For the New Testament Greek Lexicon we recommend this one since it is thorough but not too expensive. However, there are many excellent Greek-to-English Lexicon’s out there and you may want to spend a little more to have a different one you prefer and that’s completely okay. Add it to your cart but don’t check out yet! 😊

For the Old Testament you’ll need a Hebrew-to-English Lexicon, and this one is actually free (at this time – this may change in the future!) so go ahead and add it to your cart also!

Now you can pay for the resource and they will be downloaded to your library. These should now be accessible in your app!

Once you’ve opened the Logos Bible Study app on your device you should see a screen like this one. Click on the library button (outlined with a red box in the photo) and you’ll pull up your account resources which should look like this

Now you can search your library to ensure your two lexicons are present, as well as playing with other settings if desired.

Once your lexicons are present in your library you should be able to double click on a word in the Bible you’re reading on the app and see a word info box like this pop up.

Clicking ‘more’ will allow you to see an expanded explanation and word search of that word pulled from your lexicon.

We hope this is a helpful resource for you as we dig into God’s Word together!
