The PRESS Movement Prayer Podcast
This podcast is a short Bible Study designed to take you through the Bible, one prayer at a time! We will study the circumstances behind each prayer and learn to strategically apply what we have learned to our prayer lives. In this podcast you will learn how to pray, the power of prayer, the art of repentance and more.
Real life means real pressures, but Prayer Reaches Every Single Situation (PRESS)! We don't always know how God will get in our situation, but we can be assured that He will get into our situations. Let's press together! Like, share and subscribe this weekly podcast for God-given prayer strategies for the end time followers of Jesus Christ.
The PRESS started in 2012 as a project for the Turning Point Youth Department (TPYD). The initial purpose of the PRESS was to actively recruit people to pray and document their prayer time so that TPYD could account for 1,000,000 minutes of prayer in one month. Not only did TPYD reach it's goal of accounting for a million minutes of prayer, but it was soon realized that the PRESS was bigger than simply counting minutes. In just a few short months of advertising, TPYD was on TV, radio, doing conferences and had over 17,000 fans on Facebook. The movement was only beginning! Now there a have been PRESS clubs in over 40 locations- including universities, YMCAs, neighborhoods, high schools and more! We are so excited for what the Lord has done through the PRESS!

The PRESS Movement Prayer Podcast
To The God That Can Use Anybody!
We are looking at the prayer of a new person in our prayer journey, Ezra. God used Ezra to minister to the people and even used a king that didn't know God to set up Ezra for ministry. God knows how to send us help from unanticipated places! Check out Ezra's response to the work of the Lord in this prayer with special guest host, Ahlaya, age 17.

PRESS means to apply force. When God said, press prayer reaches every single situation. He gave us permission to apply force to every situation that we will go through. And in this podcast, we are going to learn to apply force to what's applying pressure to us.
Welcome everybody to the press podcast. We are so incredibly glad to have you today. We are grateful for what the Lord has been doing in this prayer journey. And as I've mentioned, we are going to have a number of guests with us throughout the summer. They are the young people of the press. And I am so excited to have with me today, Miss Ahlaya. Welcome Ahlaya. Hi, thank you for having me. Hi. Well, she leads along with a group and you guys have already heard from Caden a couple weeks ago, but she leads along with that group, the press club at a local high school. How's that been going for you?
Very good. I thank God for the opportunity to demonstrate His words.
I think that's really cool. What's been the biggest surprise you've gotten out of teaching or leading this press club?
The biggest surprise is, I wasn't used to teaching, so when I had to start, I thought I was going to be nervous a lot, but you get used to your kids and you just get comfortable, and so it was easier to build the connections, and so you get comfortable. But you're still teaching, but you're more comfortable.
So do you like it? I do. I enjoy it. I really do.
I thank God for the growth from getting my teaching versus where I came from.
Yeah, and do you get to see a lot of growth out of them?
Yes, I do that is the most rewarding part of it because some kids they come from knowing nothing and so from them knowing like the basics that is just a big blessing.
Agreed. So today, we're going to Ezra chapter 7 and for us, Ezra is a new book in this prayer journey. So before we get to the prayer itself, what can you tell me about Ezra?
I can say that Ezra, he was a scribe and the king that is mentioned in this book, Artaxaxes, he gave a letter to Ezra the scribe and it was for Ezra to basically seek the law, teach it, and to do the law of God.
