Speaker 1:

If you woke up this morning and you thought, man, it's just too hard, it's just too long, the journey is too far, I cannot do it and I am thinking about quitting, then this podcast is for you. Welcome to the Certain Success Podcast. Guys. A certain success podcast, guys, it's matt fagioli and this podcast is called the road is long, with an exclamation point, and the word long, I think, is capitalized and underlined. And, um, guys, if you are chasing your dream, so you're already on that journey. And today you woke up and you thought, man, I just can't do it, it's too far, it's too hard, I just I'm never going to make it.

Speaker 1:

That voice is not coming from above God doesn't talk like that but, more importantly, back here on earth, if you're doing what just burns in your heart to do, then you're living life to the full already. You're already doing it. You're out chasing what God created you to be already, and that's everything. No one tells us that, and the world and the flesh and the devil keep telling us that that's not true, but it absolutely is true. I'm here to tell you this Sunday morning that you're already chasing it and the road is not wrong. The road is just really long and that's okay. In fact, we all know that we're not supposed to be focused on the outcome at all. We keep telling it's nice platitudes, to say, oh, it's about the process and it's about living for today, but it's hard to actually make that real for ourselves. And so I think this is just yet another spin on that conversation to go that, if you know that you are already chasing your dream like man, this is what's on my heart to do, this is what I love to do and I'm going to go do it. So you've already made that leap away from whatever was distracting you from it and you're chasing your dream, but you just can't see very far at all.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes, most of the time, you can't see past today. You're like this is never going to happen. I should chuck it and go get a job, or, you know, go work for the man, or you know whatever. But it comes back to this trust, relationship with God For me. I have never been able to overcome anxiety and stress and fear in my life until I finally, at a soul level, understood what it meant to trust that there's a huge God out there and that he's for me and he's in my corner and he's in your corner and he's for you. And when, when?

Speaker 1:

If you're listening to this, when you hear that you know there's also this tendency to go like, well, I, I'm too dirty, I'm too bad, I'm not good enough, he, he's not really for me, he's not really going to show up for me, and so I have to do it on my own. I have to make it happen. He's not really for me, he's not really going to show up for me, and so I have to do it on my own. I have to make it happen. And the world tells you you have to make it happen. None of that's true. All you have to do is walk with God, abide in him, and what that means is get up again today, take another step, make another email. Whatever's on your plate for today, take another step chasing your dream.

Speaker 1:

Don't give up on your dream, no matter how difficult it looks or how bleak it can be, or it seems like the road could go on forever.

Speaker 1:

But if you spent your whole life chasing your dream and and never quote unquote got there or achieved whatever you thought that was going to be, but you spent every day for the rest of your life chasing the greatest thing ever and that just made your heart sing while you were doing it. Isn't that winning? Isn't that certain success? So I just wanted to give you guys this quick little reminder for a Sunday morning or whenever day you're listening to this, that the road is not wrong. You're on the right road. It's just that road is long, long, long. And the bigger the dream, or I should say maybe more accurately, the more aligned you are to your dream, to exactly what God designed you for, the closer that alignment is, the longer the road's going to seem. But another truth that we all know at some level is that it's darkest before the dawn and you oftentimes can't see victory even. And it seems furthest away and it's right around the corner. So keep on plugging. Happy Sunday, welcome to the Certain Success Podcast for this day. Anyway, see you back here tomorrow.
