Destroying Speculations
It is written,
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Cor 10:3-5).
Beloved, there is a culture of speculation. A fortress of it. A stronghold. A value and hunger for speculating about what Jesus and His apostles might have said, might have done, might have thought, instead of a holy trembling at the word itself and Himself. There needs to be a trembling, glorying, loving, fervent response to what He really did say, really did do, and what His apostles actually wrote in the New Testament of the Bible.
No one gets transformed by speculations about the word of God. No one is called to radical obedience by speculation. No gets edified and built up to accomplish the works of God by speculating about His word. We must hear His word in faith and respond in deed, indeed.
Beloved, the Lord is jealous. His name is Jealous. It is time for another stronghold to fall in the fire of His jealousy. Fortress of Speculation, quake and fall.
