As many are getting ready for summer vacation, we tend to put Jesus to the side. Aren’t vacations a time for relaxation and a time to forget our problems, and to put our assignments on hold? A religious stale view of God has made many of us place God outside of our vacation fun time, because this view sees God as a joy kill. But the opposite is true; our Creator really does know how to have a good time.

In this week's episode, Patrick shares his experiences from his vacation last year. His primary desire was to represent our Lord and spread the Gospel, rather than focusing first on a typical leisure experience. As a student of Jesus Christ, he followed this command,

“but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you," (In Matt 6).

Desire and focus matters. What we ask, seek, and knock for with persistence, we always get says the Lord Jesus Christ. Even the wicked Goliath eventually got what he asked for after asking 80 times! (1 Sam 17)

As it is written, "For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened (in Lk 11).

As a result, God met Patrick’s desire and opened doors for him to connect with people. He had some fun experiences and uplifting moments, and a most refreshing vacation with eternal consequences.

This episode emphasizes that miracles can happen even when we're on vacation. By seeking the kingdom first, even something like a broken bike can become an instrument the Lord uses to bring about a divine encounter. Discover how partnering with God can transform an ordinary vacation into something extraordinary, leading to unexpected moments.
