In this week's Hot Happenings, your lovely co-hosts Jói and Rex bring you a finely curated weekend of comedy and culture in Reykjavík. If you’re ready to laugh, internationally acclaimed musical-comedians Reggie Watts and Bill Bailey are performing in Iceland this weekend — separately! Along with those, we tip you off to the recently opened Freyja Pub where local grassroots comedy and fringe events are abundant.

The Children’s Culture Festival (Barnamenningahátið) and DesignMarch (Hönnunarmars) are also in full swing, which your friendly co-hosts attempt to discuss whilst slowly losing their marbles.

Hot Happenings:
Reggie Watts live at Gamla Bíó. Friday April 26, 21:00, 8.900 ISK (available on tix.is)
Bill Bailey — Thoughtlifter at Harpa (Eldborg).  Sunday April 28, 20:00, 6.990-8.990 ISK (available on harpa.is)
Children's Culture Festival. Runs through April 28 all over Reykjavík, free admission.
DesignMarch 2024. Runs through April 28 all over Reykjavík, various prices.

66 Degrees of Sound is a podcast production by The Reykjavík Grapevine, hosted by music editor Jóhannes Bjarkason and listings editor Rex Beckett.

Editing and intro music by Rex Beckett.

All tracks played on the show are in accordance with STEF, the Composers’ Rights Society of Iceland.
