Diaries of a Lodge Owner
In 2009, sheet metal mechanic, Steve Niedzwiecki, turned his passions into reality using steadfast belief in himself and his vision by investing everything in a once-obscure run-down Canadian fishing lodge.
After ten years, the now-former lodge owner and co-host of The Fish'n Canada Show is here to share stories of inspiration, relationships and the many struggles that turned his monumental gamble into one of the most legendary lodges in the country.
From anglers to entrepreneurs, athletes to conservationists; you never know who is going to stop by the lodge.

Episode 30: Answering YOUR Food Questions w/ Antonio "Smash" Meleca
This week on the Outdoor Journal Radio Podcast Network's Diaries of a Lodge Owner, I'm stoked because here's another episode inspired by all of you. You guys stuffed a bushel basket right full of food-related questions. So I decided to gather them all up and answer them right here.
Now I know. All of you know, that I do love eating and preparing food. Have done a ton of shore lunches, and for a decade, managed the food experience at the lodge. But on this episode, I've planned something special. I wanted to give all of you, not just my opinion, but the opinion of one of the most respected chefs in the cooking industry as a whole.
He owns Gourmet Craft and Catering, where he cooks for the stars, and he's also the host of our very own Eating Wild podcast on the Outdoor Journal Radio Podcast Network, - Antonio "Smash" Meleca!
On this show, Antonio and I answer all of your food questions. He shares some outstanding recipes, food ideas, and a ton of knowledge. And as always, we sprinkle in some great stories.
So let's hold hands folks, cause this time we're doing it together. Your questions, answered by Antonio and I!
