Thank you. I'm so happy to be here and share my story with others today.

Wonderful. So I told our listeners just a little bit about you. So tell us, tell us about yourself.

Oh, my goodness, that would take all day. When I get started, I just continue to talk and talk and talk, because I love inspiring others to, you know, take the steps through the fears and to do the things in their lives that light them up and excite them, and it's just my passion to help others, to help themselves. I guess that's the easiest way to put that. You know, if I begin at the beginning of my journey, I would say that it you know that things really began to happen. And since we're talking about inviting the mystic into our lives, let me first give you, you know, a definition of what a mystical experience is. Right, and because it's a broad definition. So the definition is, you know, any event, any experience, something that happens in your life that gives you this feeling of this direct connection with God's source, your higher self, whatever that is for you. I love to say those Oprah Winfrey aha moments. You know how she was always having those aha moments. That's pretty much what a mystical experience is. It's like you step back and you go, wow, wow, it's something you don't easily forget, wow, it's something you don't easily forget. It's like. It's like you know, it's like the universe has singled you out, and it is. It is the best, one of the best experiences we can have. It's one of the best teachers for us, right?

So I was at a pretty low point in my life. I'd suffered a stroke, I was paralyzed on my left side, I was going through some pretty severe depression and you know, to be honest with you, at that point in my life, my stroke happened at age 53. And I was having a really tough time. I didn't have any energy, I slept all the time. I didn't know if I was going to be able to go back and work a full-time job in my career. And, you know, I just began asking God to give me some guidance. You know, just asking source for me. For me it's God, so I'm going to use the word God, for others it's whatever and whoever that is for you. And I am not a religious person, but I am a spiritual person. And so I began to say you know, ask you know. And so I began to ask you know, show me how I can improve. How can I get well in the beginning, right, god? How can I get well? What can I do for myself to help me? You path of healing my adrenal glands. The first medication they gave me after the stroke to get me out of bed was Adderall, which is speed and you know it damages the adrenal glands, which is all connected with the cortisol. She put me on some medications to help me, some things that would put my adrenal glands to sleep for a while so that they could mend themselves, and so I began to feel a little bit better, step by step by step.

I was in the middle of a divorce from my husband I'm an empath and it was just a relationship that I was not, you know, happy in. So all of this was going on at the same time and you know, I was just asking for signs and and please help me to heal and I had reconnected with a man that I fell in love with when we were 19 and 20. And it was like, give me a sign. You know, give me a sign. This is the right relationship for me. So the first little story about a real mystical experience is about that reconnection.

So you know, we were going, jimmy and I were going to a I guess you would call it a Renaissance festival. I had never been to one, so I didn't know what to expect, but we walked in and you know my question back. But we walked in and you know my question when I went into this tent where all of these palm readers were, was answer my question Right, Do I pursue this relationship where I'm so happy, or maybe not right? And so we walked into this tent. I said I want a palm reading. I've never had one. I think that'll be fun.

So I walked, this lady walked towards me and she said you know? I said I would like a palm reading and she said well, I'm a palm reader and I'm free. And so we never sat down. She said I want to read the top of your hand. And I thought I thought they read the palms. That's weird, but what do I know?

So I held out my right hand, just like this, and we're staring there, standing there for just a few seconds, looking at the top of my hand, and I thought you know what kind of information is she getting? And a heart popped up right here. It looked like it had been lined with a bright red, fine tip felt, you know felt tip pen. And I went huh and she went huh and then, in this shaky voice, she says do you see that too? And I said Do you see that too? And I said, yes, what is that? I've never read about anything like that. And this is what she said I've never seen one before, I've only read about them. That is a stigmata. We call it a stigmata, and I don't know what a stigmata is right? And I said, oh, okay, and you know, it began to fade and it disappeared. And I said this took like maybe all three or four minutes and I said I have my answer, thank, you very much.

Follow your heart. Jimmy and I have been married 14 years this month. Wow, does that happen like that for everybody? Does everybody get those kinds of clear signs? This was the first of many.

I began to have these mystical experiences when we would travel. I would have these experiences In the most when I wasn't even thinking about it. These types of experiences would happen, and they happened so often that a few years ago I decided I better write a book. I'm getting older, I'll have my 71st birthday in June, and I kept thinking I'm going to forget these if I don't write them down. So I began to just write down tidbits about them so that I would not forget them. And I've got a whole bunch more that I can write a second book. But you know, these things are, these kinds of experiences like these, are truly a gift from God. Right, truly a gift from God. So you know, I've kind of come up with a and I'm probably going to write a book about this, on how can we invite the mystic into our lives. Now that is the talk that I will be doing in Sedona. It's also a talk that I do around the Dallas-Fort Worth area at events that I attend in person, you know.

And I got to thinking what was I doing at that time with my energy, with my thoughts? I know I can, you know I can share. I was reading a lot of spiritual books, right, I was searching, I was on this huge search for to find what made me happy, right, how can I be happy again? And a big one was how can I find peace? Because along, you know, with the stroke was you have a really high chance of having another one, right? So it was like am I going to live my life in fear and limit the things that I invited into my life? You know, there was a time, even when Jimmy and I had first connected and I told him, I said, you know, you don't want to marry me, I'm broken. I could have another stroke at any time and, yeah, he did, and we are truly twin flames, I believe. But how can I live a full life? Right? And so the books came.

You know, the first thing was, you know, one of the first things I did was I got attuned to Reiki, right, because I'd been reading about it. And I got attuned to Reiki, one in the lineage that I took my first Reiki classes with. They taught the teacher taught one and two separately and to just really open my heart and to believe that the guidance would come to me in divine timing, right when we speak of all of these things and healing and finding our purpose in life, I really wanted to know what my purpose in life was. Besides, you know we have many purposes in life. I was a mother, my children were raised and it was like what is my next purpose? That's going to, you know, really light me up.

What can I do spiritually? Because I truly believe that I need to share these stories with other women to inspire other people, men and women, but I mainly work with women. How can I empower women to reach out and find this kind of fulfillment in their lives, like I have been gifted with? And so you know reading about, you know raising your vibration, and so you know reading about, you know raising your vibration. You know working with happiness, the things that make you happy. You know believing is one, believing that. You know there's no limitations on God. There are no. You know we don't need. As human beings, with that spark of God within us, we don't want to limit what can happen in our lives and we don't want to limit ourselves either. So don't put God in a box. And while you're at it, you don't put yourself in a box or step out of that box that you've put yourself into, because I am in here to tell you from my own personal experiences that anything, anything is possible if we just open our hearts and we believe.

My big word for the year, and one that I keep hearing over and over when I'm teaching my classes, is allow you take a Reiki class, allow Reiki to come into your life. It's the allowing, because we block these things, maybe unconsciously. Step through the fears. Step through the fears. Ask. You know it's the asking. It's the asking for a sign. Right, show me a sign. And then, if we see a sign, you know we go oh, there's a sign. Was that really a sign? Is that a sign or my imagination? Right, show me another sign. Show me a really clear sign. Give me a clear sign. I mean, what could have been more clear? Right, I mean it was there. And what's very interesting is, in a lot of it, every single one of these experiences, with the exception of one, I was with someone else, so there wasn't just one of us there, because I would have thought. I think I've gone a little bit bonkers, because these things are happening to me and they're really hard to explain. And it was not just me. There were other people involved in many of these experiences, most of them, actually that are in the book. We had other people involved.

You know it's gratitude. You know it's following those signs, it's practicing gratitude, thank you, would you give me another sign? Right, I need clear guidance. I need three or four signs, right, for me, three pretty much seals the deal. When it's bomb, bomb, bomb, it's like, yeah, there's the three much seals the deal. When it's bomb, bomb, bomb, it's like, yeah, there's, there's the three, there's the three, and I'll share another story with you in a moment about three signs.

Um, you know, and, and and an awareness, an awareness that magic is all around us, if I can use that word magic, because it does exist. You know, it's almost as though we've forgotten how to see it. Right, you know, I think, a big one. You know, in addition to you know, treating yourself with love-love is very high at the top of the list. We are not taught to really love ourselves, and that was a really. That's been a really big one for me. It's been a really big one for me. Developing our intuition right. Developing our intuition, raising our consciousness with intention, being open, loving everybody and everything. You know the definition of enlightenment is a knowing that we're all one, that is. You know, we see this word enlightenment and it's like whoa, what does that mean? Is that even possible? You know, the simplest definition of enlightenment and I looked it up is this feeling of oneness with everyone and this feeling of love. So you love everyone and you love everything, regardless. You know so many things that we can do for ourselves.

If you've been on the fence about taking a Reiki, if anyone in the audience has maybe been on you know the fence about taking a Reiki class, you know, just do it and get attuned to Reiki, because you know I've found that Reiki often. You know it can be, you know it can put us on our life purpose path. Reiki is love. Reiki is love, energy from the divine, and each time we become attuned to a higher level of conscious of Reiki, we are entering a higher level of consciousness. We're able to access that energy that is around us on a different and higher frequency, us on a different and higher frequency. You know Reiki. I always ask my students to imagine that we have this silver cord that connects us with the divine and that every time we're attuned to Reiki, every time you know even that we overcome a belief system, that that cord is opened a little bit wider. People ask me you know? You know what does Reiki really do? Well, I could go on and on about that. You know, reiki has opened me up to higher levels of consciousness. It is just divine love and I just allow this love into my life.

Reiki is my best friend and if we sit and we listen in silence, for me prayer is always asking. It's always, you know. You're usually asking for something. You know meditation. People say I can't be quiet to meditate. I can't quiet my mind, it's okay, things are going to come through your mind, you just let them go. Prayer, meditation is when we receive the answers. It's when we are given this amazing, you know, information, and Reiki helps to bring that through even more strongly. It's a connect, a connection with, with source.

Wonderful. So would you say that the Reiki energy found you or did you find the Reiki?

Speaker 3: 22:32

With the original class. I'm sure that Reiki found me because I was asking please give me ways to be happy, to heal myself, Please show me where I need to go. And I was seeing a spiritual teacher. I had begun to just study with this lady in Dallas. Her name's PJ, she's in my book and so I had been going to some of her little classes. She would invite people in to do spiritual classes. When I had the energy, pj's always telling me Patty, I remember when you were so sick, you would sign up for a two-day class and you would never make it the second day, never make it the second day. It's took every bit of energy that you had just to come to the first day. She said that's okay. Look at you now and it's like it's a miracle. It is a miracle and I don't say that lightly. Mystical experiences are miracles. There are miracles that come into our life. Um, and and, and you know, I would like to share a couple of more experiences with you, if you have, if you have the time out of my little book, um, and I know we have some questions from the audience that I would like to answer to in a moment. Let me share one more question with you. I call it my Raphael story. So one more experience with you. I call it my Raphael story.

So I was back at work and I was on my way to work one day and it's before I had been attuned to Reiki 2. So this happened at the Reiki 1 level and I'm at this red light, going into downtown Fort Worth, and I look up on this bus which is perpendicular, and on the top of this bus, where the next destination is, is in bold green letters, is the word Raphael. And I looked away and I thought there's not a street with that name. And when I looked back I saw you know a name of a street. So I thought, oh, it's a sign. And what is this Raphael? I didn't know. So I got to work Jimmy and I were married by then and I said I called him work, jimmy and I were married by then. And I said I called him and I said blah, blah, blah, this happened. Do you know what Raphael means? And he said, no, honey, I think it's one of the archangels, just Google it. So I Googled it and I read about Archangel Raphael, the angel of healing, and I just said, well, I saw that. Show me another sign. I saw that. I saw that. I think that's important too, to acknowledge to your higher self, your guides, that you saw that right. And so give me another sign.

I got home from work that night. I didn't change the channel. Jimmy was out of town. I turned the television on and there was a documentary on in front of me about the three band of mercy angels Raphael, gabriel and, just a moment, angels. Raphael, gabriel and, um, just a moment, raphael and and Michael. So they called them the band of mercy angels. It was all about this statues all over the world, areas of the world where people have seen these angels, and it was very interesting.

But when it was over, I sat there on my couch and I thought what is this? What is happening here? And I looked around my house. I have little angel statues that my mother left me. My mother loved angels. I have her little earrings that I wear sometimes and I thought I get it. I get it, I'm going to work with the angels. I've always loved angels. I get it, I'm going to work with the angels. I've always loved angels, always loved angels. So I said I saw that and I know that this is big. I felt it. I know this is really something big for me. Show me where to go and I'll follow. Just tell me what you want me to do. And so a few days, and then I let it go right.

And a few days later PJ called me and she said Patty, how would you like to go to Houston for a few days to learn to read angel cards with Doreen Virtue's son, charles Virtue? Who's Doreen Virtue? Who's her son? Read cards. What does that mean? I had no idea, but I knew I had to go. Didn't have the money, slapped it on a credit card. I said, pj, I think I have to go. She said the lady that was going with me canceled and for some reason I thought of you and I said yes, it's a big yes.

So we find ourselves driving to Houston a few weeks later, pj's driving, and we keep passing these fields of vultures. On one of them I count you know we counted 17 and she looked over at me and she said somebody's going to go through some transition this weekend. And I said I don't know. I said okay.

So we get to the class. We're each given a deck of angel cards. We spend, I think, all day Friday and all day Saturday, learning how to read these cards intuitively. And then, on the third day, charles comes into the classroom and he says just put your cards in your purses. Today we're going to channel and we're going to get information without using the cards. And I thought, oh yeah, this should be loads of fun, right? So he said we're going to do three of these.

So you know, I did two of them and on the third one, this is where it gets really interesting. Where it gets really interesting, this lady sat in front of me and I closed my eyes and I saw this little girl walking up and down these steps like she was really proud of herself and she was looking over her shoulder. She had long, blonde, curly hair and she said look, mommy, I can walk, look, mommy, I can run. You know, just in this sweet little voice. She was about five or six years old, and so I told this girl this and she said oh, that's not for me, that's for the lady that's sitting next to me. Her name is Sherry, and I said okay. She said let me go get her. So she brought her back. Sherry sits in front of me, and she said, and I told her what I saw. So Sherry has Asian features. This little girl had long blonde, curly hair.

But you know we're taught to say what you get right. Whatever we're given, you say it in a kind and gentle way. So I just told her a beautiful little girl with long curly hair, you know, very happy that she can walk up and down the steps, telling her mommy that. And Sherry sits back and she goes yes, that message is for me. She said that little girl and she goes yes, that message is for me. She said that little girl, that little blonde-headed girl, is my daughter, kaylee. And she said let me tell you my story.

Kaylee was born with a genetic disorder. It's in the strands of the DNA, something you know, it's not quite, you know, right in there, and so she's not able to walk. It affects the muscles of these children that are born with this and the children are born with this. I think it's called P3, something disorder, very rare, extremely rare. And she said she cannot walk. She said a few weeks ago Kaylee had an episode. They have epileptic seizures, they have seizures. And she said we were at the hospital and this beautiful female doctor walks in and she says beautiful female doctor walks in and she says Hello, my name is Dr Raphael and I'm going to take care of you. And so she said you know, kaylee got better. They upped her medication.

We came home, she said I was scrolling through Facebook and she said you know, I see this angel class. Raphael's mentioned in this angel class and I felt compelled to come to this class. And she says I was told that there would be someone here with a message for me. And I said wow, you know I can't take credit for any of this. It's not me, it's just spirit, you know, working through us. And then she said, and she said and I don't know whether she had a dream or what, I can't remember she just said she was told that this person would be an older woman with long hair that had a black shawl. And I reached behind me on my chair and pulled off the black shawl that I'd taken.

Wow, wow, that's the allowing right we allow.

So, with all of your experience and all of your teachings and everything, what would you say is the most common misperception about your work?

Speaker 3: 32:44

Oh, that's a great question. I can't remember. I don't really recall that I have people coming to me and saying I didn't know that you maybe just that they didn't know I did this work. A lot of people come to me for like readings or past life regressions, even Reiki sessions. You know, find me on the website and I guess maybe they don't know about the book. You know my book is available on Amazon it's. I don't advertise it a lot. I do most of my marketing on Amazon it's. I don't advertise it a lot. I do most of my marketing on Facebook and, and maybe it's just that I don't know. I mean, that's a great question. I don't know what the perception would be other than what I put out there and I'm I'm like an open book, right.

So what would you say? What would you wish your younger self knew about your current profession?

Speaker 3: 33:45

Oh man, I never saw myself. I mean, my daughters are grown and they say you're not the same person that raised us mom. You know I am. I still have the same heart, but it's like I stepped into a different world. What I would tell my younger self is to love that. Love herself, Because I was always, you know, critical of myself. You know, and I would tell her to to you know, love herself enough to take care of herself, not work 70 and 80 hour weeks at the corporate job like I did when I had my stroke. I would tell her to travel to the places that she wanted to text.

I would tell my younger self make that bucket list and start doing those things. And and that's one thing I advise, you know, when I do spiritual counseling, because it's fun and it raises our vibration just to have hope and think of those things. Who has things that they are looking forward to in their life, to work towards right. It gives us inspiration. Who lives an inspired life? How many of us live inspired lives right and step through the fears to not live your life with the regrets right, the woulda, shoulda, couldas. You look at that and say I learned valuable lessons from each one of those situations to write down what that lesson was. To acknowledge that lesson right, I would tell my younger self to forgive everything and everyone, because non-forgiveness is one of the lowest, you know, vibrations that we can be in. People have the perception that if they forgive someone, it means I'm inviting them to come back and do it again. But nothing can be further the truth.

You forgive and you don't even have to tell someone you forgave them. You forgive in order to release that low vibrational energy within yourself. That's why we have to forgive.

Beautiful. Now you mentioned one of your teachers in your book, but what are some of the qualities that you look for in a Reiki teacher?

Speaker 3: 36:19

Well, I teach. You know a lot of teachers, so I you know what do I look for.

Speaker 2: 36:31

When it's time for you to get your energetic tune up or when you feel called to take a training. What qualities do you look for?

Speaker 3: 36:37

Yeah, I want someone who is authentic and genuine and I also want you know yeah, I want someone who is authentic and genuine and I also want you know someone who you know. I want to go to someone who you know, you know is ethical. I think in this line of work and I'm not just talking about being a Reiki teacher and a Reiki practitioner here, I'm also talking about, you know, past life, regressions, readings, spiritual counseling we must be ethical because, unfortunately, we must be ethical because, unfortunately, you know, we have to be twice as ethical in order to you doing, no matter what the modality is that they're doing. Yeah, that's a great question. I really had to stop and think about that.

Well, the next one is since you are a teacher of teachers, what advice do you give someone who's just entering this profession of teachers?

Oh gosh, I first I say, you know, by Pam Allen LeBlanc's book, reiki business book and sit with yourself for a while before you stop, start this business and ask yourself three questions who do I say I am? Who do I say I am? It's kind of like making your you know your statement to the world. And then, who do I say I serve, Right? Who you're calling in those energies of those that you're going to serve? And what do you say you do, right? Who do I say I am? What do I say I do? And who do I say I serve? All, right, so mine would be something like you know, I'm a spiritual teacher, right? So that's kind of who I say I am, uh, so, so that's kind of who I say I am. You know, uh, what do I say I do? I believe I empower others with the tools and the mindset you know for them to heal themselves, right, because almost everyone comes into reiki looking for a way to heal themselves. You don't go into a Reiki class and say I'm going to teach this before you've ever taken the Reiki class. I do have a lot of Reiki one and two students who say this is what I've been looking for and it just lights me up, you know. And who do I serve? Right, you know I mostly serve, you know, and who do I serve? Right? Um, you know I mostly serve, you know, women who need who, who are looking for ways to heal themselves. Right, because what we do is we go through this process and then we reach back and we help others and lift them to, and we're always growing, so, you know, so we're always lifting others to.

I wouldn't have thought I'd be teaching Reiki teachers. You know, I never really thought I'd be teaching Reiki, but I took Reiki one and then Reiki two and then, when I really got to feeling better, I was introduced to the ICRT and I thought they've got the books, they're full of great information, I think I could teach. And so I took all the classes over again, right, the classes over again, right. And by the time I finished Karuna, I decided I wanted to teach. There was another lady in my class, so we decided we were going to begin to teach together. I'd already been practicing Reiki and giving myself Reiki for years, right, and it just really got, you know, fun. It was fun, I enjoyed it. I found oh my gosh, I, I love this. I, if you were to ask me, besides the fact that I invite even more Reiki into myself and my world every time I teach a Reiki class, it's about the women in my life. Use that word my tribe, but it is about the women that I would not know if.

Reiki had not hundreds of women right all of the people who you meet on your journey, right, this is a part of the journey where we're supporting each other whole sister together yeah yeah, and it's about the support that I receive from them.

I think, think I have there's seven ladies now, possibly eight, who when I go to the retreat this year, you know I'm going to do a little talk similar to what we've been talking about today Patty, we want to come, we want to come, and you know now we're up to seven, that you know possibly eight and maybe even nine, and so I'm going to take him into Sedona a few days for for two nights after the retreat is over, and we'll probably do some fun things, get some good pictures and spend a little bit of time together after the retreat. I never would have dreamed, you know. Another word I love is possibilities. Boy, that's an expansion.

Even when you just said with that word, possibilities, that just opens us up, right, I never would have thought that this, these many women, would be, you know, coming to, and I did not say, oh, I would like everyone to go to the retreat with me. You know they all said we want to come, give us the information, we want to go to the retreat with me. You know they all said we want to come, give us the information, we want to go. And it's like don't use possibilities a lot, you know. Let that be your word for the month.

Well, one of the possibilities you were able to do For the rest of your life Right and see what comes into your life.

Right. Well, our next question is what books do you recommend?

Oh, my goodness. Well, if you purchase my book, I listed them. I listed some in my book. Now it's not an all-inclusive list, but I do have. You know, I think I have two pages of books in my little book. I do have several that I really, really recommend Louise Hayes you Can Heal your Life. I just bought Anne Baldwin's book. It's the scientific evidence behind Reiki, because I love it when woo-woo meets science right, the quantum physics. I would recommend 29 Gifts by Cammie Walker. By Cammie Walker, I would recommend the top five regrets of the dying by Bronte Ware.

I you know I'm fascinated with past lives. A friend of mine is an author. She's probably written 30 or 40 books. I love her dearly. Her name is Shelley Kare, K-A-E-H-R, I believe, and she's written several books on past lives and various other things. Anything by her is really good.

There's a couple, oh, and one that I do recommend a lot is by Robert Schwartz, and that book is your soul's plan and it's all about you know the plans that we make before. It's pre, pre incarnation. You know planning, and one of the things, one of the lines in that book that I just always tell everyone to think about, is that when we incarnate, we agree to play roles in one another's lives, and sometimes we agree to learn some pretty hard lessons while we're here. And he writes that the souls who love us the most in our soul families are the ones who sometimes agree to incarnate as the villains in our lives. And that just made it possible for me to do some deep forgiveness work. My motto is so many good books in so little time. Audiobooks are my new best friend not as much of a friend as Reiki is, of course, but yeah, listening to audiobooks when I walk Perfect.

So I have two more questions before we jump into the social media questions. So our next question is what other modalities do you offer?

As far as actual modalities probably Kaushik Records, past life regressions I really don't practice any other kind of energy work. I am a dowser, I teach dowsing, I have a crystal store I forgot to mention that and so I love crystals. So crystals are really. I guess you could consider crystals a modality. I actually pulled out a couple of photos I wanted to share with you. So, people that love to learn crystals, you know my favorite crystal technique is to breathe into a crystal. You put it up by your heart and you breathe into it. So I went to Sedona my first trip to Sedona when I was so sick trip to Sedona when I was so sick and I was really trying to to get the guilt and stuff out of my, my heart, for it was this divorce that I'd gone through. So I, uh they taught me that technique. So I'm doing a little talk at a fair about how crystals can help us to heal and I.

So I pulled out a big hematoid heart out of my inventory and I went over to the gentleman at the fair that does the aura pictures and I thought something told me take an aura picture, breathe into your crystal, take another one and see if there's any change in your aura. So would you like to see my pictures pictures, okay. So this one is the one where I sat down and I said, wayne, would you take an aura picture for me? And so he said, okay, there you go. I said I'm going to breathe into this hematoid quartz for maybe a minute. I'm in a hurry to get up there and do my talk. It's almost time. Make another picture, please. So this is the second picture after less than a minute. Now let me show you the first one. That's the first one. That's the second one.

Right, quite a change, right, absolutely. What's the best crystal to breathe into? You know, anything, any crystal is really good, but I really really love either the hematoid quartz or apopalite. Apopalite is a very high vibration, right, right, right. So I you know I recommend that a lot. So, yes, I was doing the fairs for years and years and I would have five huge tables of crystals in a little area where I would do readings. And when the lockdown came, it was like what am I going to do with all my crystal business? Right, and I was doing fairs every weekend. So I just brought it online Sacred Spaces, crystal Stones. It's a private group and I just sell you know my crystals out there and this little I probably have you know about 800 now who you know students, reiki students and anyone that would you know like in that group and it's worked out so beautiful for me. I truly love crystals. They're a high vibration.

All right, Number one. Can you give me an example of how I can invite mystical experiences into my life?

Oh, it's all of those things, it's not any one particular thing. It's that opening up to possibility, it's believing, you know it's asking for signs. It's asking for mystical experiences, for signs. It's asking for mystical experiences, you know. It's just, you know, following these signs, because many times it's been one sign and then a second, and then if I do this third, you know thing like, take that class with Charles Virtue that opens up a mystical experience, right, kind of following that gut and those intuitive hits. You know, what I tell everyone in my talks is if I could put an experience in a box for you and tie it with a red ribbon, I would and I would give each one of you one of those. But I can't. I can only share my story and how these things happened to me and what I was doing at the time. Right.

Right, wonderful, wonderful. So our second question is I read that you hold a bachelor's degree in metaphysics from the University of Sedona. How would you explain Reiki to someone who has no experience in Reiki?

Speaker 3: 53:00

Reiki is love. Reiki is life energy. Reiki is love. It's love from the source and it's a love field. And we kind of scare people when even when we sometimes when we say we channel this energy. But it is, it is a channeled energy. But yeah, I would just say, you know, our traditional statement is you know, reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique that also promotes healing, you know that's. That's a really easy way to explain, you know, reiki to others. I always have that in my back pocket, my little talk, right, but I just relate Reiki to love. It's love and it's just. It's just an energy of love that we are able to share with others. That I like to keep things really simple.

Right, right, Wonderful. And our third question and last question in what ways are you innovating within your niche to stay relevant and impactful?

Speaker 3: 54:13

Oh, that's a great question. Probably the biggest thing that I've done is to become a licensed Reiki master teacher with the ICRT. I'm really able to get much more exposure and teach more students and I'm able to learn Reiki from whom I believe to be the best Reiki teachers, or some of the best Reiki teachers you know in the world, and I just try to stay on top of what they're doing. Reiki evolves. Reiki evolves and you know it's meant to evolve. If you look back at the history of Reiki, all through the different teachers, it's evolved. I think my evolution is adding a bit of the mystic, so I often refer to my Reiki as mystical Reiki, because we do discuss a little bit about mysticism and all. Fortunately, I'm able to add a bit of myselfiki is to you know, learn from the other teachers, watch the podcast and spend time with Reiki yourself, because Reiki talks to us, reiki communicates with us. Ask Reiki what you, what it wants to share with you Wonderful, beautiful.

Now, is there anything else that you would like to share that, as we were talking, you may have forgotten about? You had mentioned your story about threes, or mentioning something about your book that you'd like to share with us.

Yeah, the story about threes was the three signs to go to that retreat. I always say, if you're getting the not the retreat but the class it was almost like a retreat If you're receiving some signs to do something, and it's pretty clear, it keeps coming into your awareness, ask for guidance for that. Ask for guidance for that. I love, I love, I love, I love William Rand's prayer in our Reiki 1 and 2 book and I added a few words to it for my students and I say guide me, heal me and empower me so that I can be of service to myself and others. Right, that's a beautiful prayer. It's a beautiful prayer and it includes, you know, being of service to ourselves, you know, in whatever capacity, and it includes empowering ourselves curiosity and it includes empowering ourselves. Um, and you know one of the things. If I could just say one more thing and it's kind of around my book there's a lot of woo-woo in this book. I mean it is just the truth, it's my truth.

When I wrote I thought I'm really putting myself out there. I'm telling these mystical experiences that have happened in my life. And I had someone in Ireland one time, a pretty well-known spiritual teacher, and I was telling him another story, another thing, and he goes oh, keep that to yourself and don't share it. And I thought, no, I'm not going to do that. I said it's too late, I've already written a book about it and I thought, why would I want to keep the magic to myself? Right, I need to share that and help others. So it would be that we all have these amazing stories to tell, these things that happen to us, that are just wonderful, right, and I even share a little of the bad right, because I want people, you know, I want my students, my followers, to know it is possible, it is possible to pull yourself up and to live this most amazing life. And my life is pretty simple, most amazing life, and my, my life is pretty simple, and and so maybe we're meant to share these stories, right, I always say that maybe my next book's gonna be other people's stories, not just my, with a few of mine woven in there.

You know, I remember at last year's Reiki retreat, I was invited to do a little talk during our little, you know, get together at the end on Saturday night. It was kind of like a talent show sort of was not recorded, was private talent show sort of, was not recorded, was private, and I remember you know I said I'll do a little talk about my book and and you know, at the end I mentioned, oh, maybe the next book's going to be your stories. If you have a story to share and you're kind of afraid to tell anyone about it because maybe it's kind of out, you know, it's really like nobody's gonna believe me, right? You know, I invited the, the audience to, uh, that was in the room to just find me and share their story with me. I love to listen to it.

I'm a safe place to share your stories with, because nothing is, you know, because mine have been sort of amazing, just amazing miracles in my life.
