Speaker 1:

This is the Good Neighbor podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Lisa Swiftney.

Speaker 2:

Hi everyone and welcome to episode number 98 of the Good Neighbor podcast. Today we're talking with our good neighbor, jim Simpson, about isogenics. Hi Jim, how are you doing today?

Speaker 3:

I'm doing just fine, thank you.

Speaker 2:

Thanks for coming on our Good Neighbor podcast.

Speaker 3:

Well, I'm happy to do so.

Speaker 2:

So tell us about isogenics.

Speaker 3:

Well, as part of my company, jay Simpson and Associates, I am a coach and a marketer for an online health and marketing company which is isogenics. Our motto is the art of well-being. We have several verticals actually. We have weight management, natural beauty, daily nutrition, targeted health and fitness.

Speaker 2:

Wow, that is amazing. Tell our listeners about your journey. Why did you get started with isogenics?

Speaker 3:

In 2019, I was in a networking group and I was not healthy. I was 192 pounds I'm only 5'7" and I was. It was mostly fat. I had no energy. I never felt good and one of the people in that group, bonnie Mellon, said Jim, I can help you with that. So she introduced me to isogenics and I did their initial program, which is called a 30-day reset, and I lost 22 pounds in that 30 days and I felt great. So I continued on for another month and I ended up losing a total of 37 pounds. I never had more energy and I felt fantastic. So I've been with the program ever since.

Speaker 2:

Wow, that is amazing. So congratulations on getting yourself to that healthy, healthy place in your life. So can you tell us about any myth or misconceptions that you hear about in your industry?

Speaker 3:

Well, Isagenix is a home-based business, so you only get the products through representatives in person. We don't market it on big stores. We don't have a big marketing program. But it's not a small company, it's not a flavor of the month. It's a family-owned company. It's been around for 23 years and we now have over 500,000 associates in 25 countries and sales over $8 billion. So it's a good, solid company. It's here to stay.

Speaker 2:

That is amazing. So when you're not working on one of your multiple businesses because we know you do own a few tell us what you like to do for fun.

Speaker 3:

Well, for fun, I'm a boater. I boat in the summer. I spend all winter getting ready to boat in the summer. I'm already thinking about launching it ready for next year. But I have a small cruiser. I keep on Lake St Clair and I live on a small lake where I have some smaller boats, paddle boats and canoes and that kind of thing. I belong to the Poor Man's Jack Club on Harsons Island and I belong to the Dearborn Power Squadron, which is an organization that teaches boating safety. So when I'm not on the boat I'm thinking about the boat.

Speaker 2:

And it's good, because once you're a boater, it is in your blood right.

Speaker 3:

It is indeed.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so can you describe one hardship or life challenge that you rose above and can now say because of that challenge that you're better for it and or stronger?

Speaker 3:

Well, it actually relates real well with the isogenics. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and I had major surgery and I had six months of chemotherapy, which I don't want to do again. I was sick for a long time. It took a couple of years to recover and because of that in understanding I got sick at such a young age I started taking better care of myself and that led me eventually to the isogenics, which has really helped me. Because I was so sick, I was one of the very fortunate ones to heal and every day I get up now and it's a bonus day for me I just feel like I have to make the most out of each day. That's why I stay busy.

Speaker 2:

That's great, and we are happy that you are nice and strong and healthy today.

Speaker 3:

Thank you.

Speaker 2:

What is one thing that you want our listeners to know about isogenics?

Speaker 3:

Well, isogenics is a home-based business, which is the fastest type of businesses growing in the world. People want to stay home with their kids. They don't want to go to the office, they don't want to have that 40-hour-a-week program. So isogenics you can do right from your home, and we use our products. We share them with others and when we share we get a commission for the sales. Most people start part-time but many, many of them end up full-time. Like I said, we have over 500,000 representatives now and you can enter significant income if you really put effort into it. We actually have over 300 millionaires in the isogenics family who made that money sharing their isogenics products.

Speaker 2:

That is great, that's amazing. That's a lot of millionaires.

Speaker 3:

Yes, it is.

Speaker 2:

So our listeners are intrigued. They want to learn more. How can they contact you?

Speaker 3:

Well, there's three ways. They can go to my website, which is JSimpson S-I-M-P-S-O-N, assoccom. And when they get to my website, they just clink the isogenics link and it'll take them right into the isogenic system so they can learn all about the products. Or they can call me at 810-533-3410, or text at JimS3410 at gmailcom.

Speaker 2:

Perfect, Well, I appreciate you coming on and telling our listeners more about isogenics and how they can get healthy.

Speaker 3:

Well, thank you so much and let's all hope for a good, strong, healthy 2424.
