Hey Friend,
I want to tell you something -- I have not always been thankful for my story. Sometimes I see other people's stories, they're living, and I wish my life and my story looks more like theirs. But I have begun, in recent years, to see the value that my unique story brings to the world. And you know what I've begun to do? Embrace it. Embrace MY story. I started to see how even the things I wouldn't have chosen and didn't like that it happened in my story -- how are those things have made me who I am and how I can be a better person, better community member, better friend, better leader and better... all the things I meant to be because of those things that happened to me. Because I wrestled through things and worked through them and dealt with the hard things and the sad things I've become better. So I've started to be thankful for my story. I started to not compare my story to others. I've started to be less jealous when I see other people and I've started to be able to be a better cheerleader for those around me. I want to encourage you -- can you find places in your story that were hard and see how they've brought about good things in your life?  Maybe you can start to turn the narrative around. Maybe there's some things you can be thankful for in your story too.

I'll meet you here tomorrow.
