A NOTE FROM THE HOST:

Hi everyone,

My name is Christopher Antich, and if you're reading this, I wish I could look you in the eye and tell you how much it means to me that you're choosing to spend your time giving the People Talking Sitting Down podcast a listen.

Ever since I was a kid, I've been constantly asking myself the question "why?"

Why am I the way I am?

A few years ago, I had a breakthrough that taught me more about life than any textbook or professor ever could.

It helped me start finding more answers to those "why?" questions, and led me here.

The more I discovered about myself, the more interested I became in everyone around me.

I am fascinated by the human experience. Both internally and externally.

This is my effort to find more answers, meet more people, ask more questions, and learn more about myself, others, and the world around us.

Please join us as we work to peel back the layers of the human experience. Through sharing, connecting, and listening to the experiences of others, it is our goal to love, empathize, and think a little differently than usual.

Thank you for being here. The world wouldn't be the same without you.

With so much love and appreciation,
Christopher

MEET TOMMY:

Tommy is a friend, a brother, a son, a husband, and a soon to be father. Not only that, he is one the kindest, most gentle, loving, and present souls that I have ever met.

I am lucky to call him a friend.

Just like you and me, Tommy is a human. He makes mistakes. He has good days and he has bad days.

As you'll soon find out, the thing that makes Tommy great is his zest for life. He makes every single person around him better. He lifts you up when you are down, and asks for nothing in return.

And that is exactly what he is doing here. With little to gain, and a lot to lose, Tommy willingly agreed to share his story without thought.

Not to help himself, but to help others.

So, if you are moved by Tommy's story, please share it with someone that could use to hear it.

Additionally, please consider donating your time to the Children's Literacy Foundation at your local library or your money to the Not One More Foundation at the link below.

INTRODUCTION:

I want to preface this conversation with a warning that we will be discussing difficult and sensitive topics throughout this episode.

Terms or topics we use or discuss during this episode may be viewed as inappropriate if viewed or listened to out of context.

This podcast focuses on the past, the present, the future, and our ever changing reality. My hope is, always has been, and always will be, to continue to grow, learn and change.

I believe when we stop changing, we die. Therefore, it is likely, if not guaranteed, that in the future parts of this conversation will not age well. I know that, and accept it.

From the bottom of my heart, I ask for your acceptance. Your understanding, your kindness and your time. For I am a flawed human interviewing flawed humans, searching for answers to questions that I know I may never find.
