The Healing Project

Will Toms is as cool as they come. As the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of @recphilly, he finds himself juggling the day-to-day business and simultaneously leading the charge to keep Philly on the map in the world of art, music, and culture.

He makes it look easy, but it wasn’t always that way.

Sleeping in warehouses while trying to fundraise millions of dollars, dealing with the loss of family members, and building a relationship with his father who has been incarcerated, are all hurdles he faced along the way.

Growing up “too black for the white kids, or too proper for the homies,” will struggled to find his place, so instead — he created it.
