Artists in a HigherOrbit
Sean KadyHi, I'm Sean and I'm Charlie, and this is higher orbit.
EllevanHigher than your shit on higher orbit? Yeah, of course it's.
Sean KadyShow tonight we got a lot of firsts is our first Collaboration with another podcast, that's for fucking sure. Yeah, um, two very special friends. They're artists First and foremost. I would say Comedians and musicians rights. Yeah, writers, they do a lot of dough shit, writers cooking cooking, cooking show Creators to the list goes on the Gateway to mindfulness. There also the drug the Gateway drug to mindfulness. With us tonight, the discipline stoners.
EllevanThat was so.
Sean KadyArtist first right.
EllevanYes you know, that you're so perceptive. Thank you, guys.
Sean KadyIt's beautiful.
EllevanI'm so happy to see it like. Fucking becomes so high class and quality Immediately, like in the flesh. You mean, oh for sure in the flesh, but just like when our podcast started. It was good as fuck.
EllevanTaped up, mike stand with a mic, I used to grind it out in in the tractors and the logic on our table that I found outside the library and and you have be like, I'm just like the fact that you're like a cannabis leaning podcast. It's you too, sweethearts, and it's like looking Quality. I feel so proud of happy.
Sean KadyThat's the beautiful thing about a playing so right because, regardless of the content's fucking sick. It can be on like a tin can in like someone's basement and you know, as long as the content's second you guys make good content it really doesn't fucking matter, right.
EllevanYeah, yeah, true, true, well said, absolutely.
Sean KadyI mean, we're still standing and you kept drawing and learning. So I know as you know, as we and I feel like it feels so nice to have you like we have a podcast now, which is where the last time I was on that was the first podcast I ever did with you guys, so 111 it was very magical and that's a very magical name in our world. Roughly a year ago my son wasn't born or remember that much, so it feels like really full circle and it's so nice to like return the favor.
Sean KadyNo, I appreciate you, thank you for agreeing to be on the show, because yes, you know, Feel like why got that warm fuzzy feeling?
Ellevaninside we definitely we resonated on a beautiful, harmonious frequency together. I appreciate you.
Sean KadyOh, that's amazing. Yeah, charlie, did you have something to say? I felt like you know, no, no, I enjoyed that. That side is. It's exciting to have them both. You know I know that had a big day. It's big. You know, summer is huge, kind, there's all kinds of stuff going on, so it's big to be in the cannabis community and you guys are big in the cannabis community and, yes, that brings me to I think my producer is pulling out. I remember you guys remember you offered me we had like some delicious kombucha.
EllevanWe drink kombucha all the time.
Sean KadyYour reaction to it filled the heart with so much love, and I know you guys get down. We have this regular the store, charlie, maybe you can speak a little bit more to the product. It's actually like a kefir. Yeah, it's a kefir water, so it's Her company's. Beyond biome, three natural flavors. We actually traded store credit for this, so I love that part.
EllevanIt's even sweeter. Let me smell this. So yeah, here take a look, charlie, which is supposed to be more.
Sean KadyIt's essentially more bio available. Right, look at that. Vitamin C and amino acids. Yeah, she uses all kinds of different Sex. Are we just swinging a moment? Are we have cops, or what are we doing?
EllevanYou have the east west. Do you know what these flavors?
Sean Kadyare. Yeah, you have the east west crush. That's the east west crush. I anti-inflammatory antioxidant. It's got like hascaps, ascotun berries, rubo ice. I can never say that we're talk of being that was a key one. Perfectly bitter, yeah, it's kind of dry I'm supposed to be uh.
EllevanI like that shit. That's money.
Sean KadyI haven't tried it, yet I'm uh.
EllevanYeah, it's good. Yeah, that got some life in it. I got some culture in it.
Sean KadyIt does have culture, I do. I do have a little bit of ABV like alcohol by whatever, yeah, like 3%. I'm not mad at that.
Charlie KadyOkay.
Sean KadyThe uber machine going off. That's funny.
EllevanYeah, why? What's happening? Are you ordering over, oh?
Sean Kadyyou're in, the store is open. We actually had a record day for a monday on delivery. Yay, always good news. But that that little noise like we have nightmares about that I'm sure like.
EllevanOkay, the fact it's a podcast In the back of a weed shop is one of my that's that's a great favorite thing.
Sean KadyRight, that's a good idea. You guys have done a podcast where you did a podcast from poses challenges, isn't it?
EllevanWe did. Well, yeah, we, I think, sticking next Sam and them, jackie Chowd's I think they were the first ones to do it, that I saw do it and then I was like I'm gonna do that. And then I just did a cover of their store because I wanted to see if I could build an episode around a retail space. Fine, like essentially to offer that To like like retail chains or whatever, but as like a coverage piece. But then I'm like can I simultaneously make this authentic by talking to a bud tender and getting the real experience and seeing what they know and and they're friends of ours.
EllevanSo it was very natural because we live like right next to the block and we, you know, we, we stroll up here to Queen Street. We live before you are there. They're literally right like next door. So I do go and hang out there quite a bit. Um, just like we stroll up here and magical shit happens sometimes. But yeah, I love, I love visiting retailers. We were just a peter bro promoting a show and we just stopped and did a bunch of retailers and meant bud tenders and shen, just so cool they show you guys love too, I imagine, right as like retailers.
Sean KadyOh, they do yeah it's like they probably know some of your audience. I love you guys.
EllevanYeah, we walked into, uh, like a bunch of stores and like what are. Like I was like what do they know you? And I'm like that's.
Sean KadyThat's cool.
EllevanThat's amazing. It means that like we're resonating with the community and then ones that don't know you, uh, you like just like I let's talk about weed then for a minute, and then you just like geek out about weed and then you end up just kind of wanting to connect anyway. So we like we just get each other on instagram a follow back, all the bud tenders like right away, and like is like y'all Are the community, like in the voice of reason in the marketplace for people who are new to cannabis, and like why the legal market is important. So, yeah, it's really cool, like visiting and I love seeing that people really fucking care.
Rip Tip Call in with Bradley Gordon
Sean KadyLet me make his care. Do you find people more interested in like music I know this is weird to ask, but like comedy or weed or mindfulness, on the like broader kind of general? Yeah, you guys get asked my friends in your audience and from like, yeah, what is a discipline stoner? I kind of wanted to back the truck up once there for everybody that doesn't know. Yes, sir, I feel like give us like the quick. Do you want me to read the thing?
EllevanOh, yeah, we you know, yeah, I love this.
Sean KadyThank you for this question because I'm sure you get asked all the time, but I just figured I don't know.
Winny ClarkeLet's touch on it yeah, when he'll find like our.
Sean KadyYes, this feel mission statements, because I got it right away and that's why I was honored to be on your show and you guys asked me. I was like holy shit, I am a discipline stoner, I have informed lots of disciplines on many levels and uh Well, there's a lot of mindfulness. I think that goes into um your show and what you create and the juju you put out there.
EllevanYeah, okay, so a discipline stoner, like quickly, just on the whole, if you will, as I find this thing, what is this one stoner just finding Is, uh, number four, one who uses the plant to elevate their disciplines and creativity. Yes, number three, an honest individual that can check in with themselves about their relationship with cannabis and other plant medicines. Number two, a cannabis consumer that uses the plant in conjunction with activities that are beneficial Mind, body, spirit to the individual. And number one is someone commit it to their work and time it become to the work and time it Takes to become a master of their craft. Yeah, so one who, like the disciplined aspect, is like your discipline, like kung fu's a discipline. Being an engineer to discipline growing weed is a discipline. Whatever you work.
Sean KadyAnything is a discipline, I think, isn't it?
Charlie KadyI think like yeah you won't always want any better rolling.
Sean KadyOh, right so rolling.
Charlie KadyI want you to hold that thought yeah, roll something up.
Sean KadyWe're gonna, we're doing a special giveaway with Rip Tip. I love the crush grinders too we're calling in to our friend Uh the creative, creative science or the gordo scientific, our boys, bradley Gordon. Uh, he's calling in from, uh, colorado. Actually, let's go. So it's actually a first. So our first uh times times. Yes, let's see if we can get him on the phone.
EllevanSay it's such a good idea, hey.
Sean KadyBradley, how's it going, good man, how you doing this evening.
Charlie KadyWelcome to higher orbit. Thank you very much. My pleasure, but you're happy.
Sean KadyYeah, how are things in colorado, how it's going on down there, brother.
Charlie KadyOh, not much, they mold. Getting hot for the summer down here. That's amazing.
Sean KadyWell, we're really excited to have you on the show. You're our first calling guest ever. Uh, I really appreciate you calling. And we have um with us, the disciplined stoners. They're uh, they're another, it's like, uh, other podcasters and our friend 11 is actually using one of your rip tips right now. I was just explaining to him that we're um, we're giving away, uh, a number of rip tips to some of our our listeners to you?
Charlie KadyI don't know, so that's part of our giveaway. Is anybody who's listening?
Sean KadyUm, send us a question, whether it be about the rip tip or about higher orbit, and if we pick your question and answer it on the show, we're going to give you a rip tip. It's as simple as that.
Winny ClarkeThat's great.
Sean KadyYeah, what do you do with this brother?
Winny ClarkeThis is uh.
Charlie KadyCharlie shawnd's brother, those of us who don't know what a rip tip is, bradley?
Sean KadyUh, you want to just let us know.
Charlie KadyYeah, so uh, basically, the rip tip is a reusable, more delicate glass, rolling tip um With a nine, a unique nine fold pattern that allows for better airflow, a more even burn and enhanced flavor.
Sean KadyI think you nailed it right there, dude. I mean, I've had an opportunity to try one of these things and like it really like levels up your smoking game. For those that don't know, uh, I feel like we've noticed as a trend I don't, I don't know in colorado, uh, but like a lot more pre rules come with tips Obviously not as nice as the rip tip, but a lot more ceramic tips and a lot more like um Tips are coming with pre rules. Do you notice that in colorado?
Charlie KadyYeah, we are noticing that in colorado as well.
Sean KadyAnd I think there's like a luxuriousness of using a rip tip, wouldn't you say, bradley?
Charlie KadyI would absolutely. Yeah, I mean just the feel, uh, compared to a paper crush. Adding a little bit of weight to that, uh, to that roll, definitely does make it seem a little more luxurious.
Sean KadyYeah, I just really agree and it gives you a chance, like I think, these days, if you're a really heady person, like I saw, you guys have so many colors. You have, like the sickest, like I think we have, uh, a UFO green that kind of like resonated more with the cosmic charlie's color, so we got some of those and and some more classic greens 11's is rolling up right now.
EllevanHe's never used. It's amazing. It smells so fucking good.
Sean KadyWe're just rolling up, uh to, to keep you in the loop there, braver, rolling up some ice cream cake times, jealousy. Uh, a friend of ours gave us some c junky genetics. They grew out, and so that is um, I can't wait to try it. We're rolling up with credible I'm gonna take one of these buds.
EllevanIs that okay yeah? Yeah, I'll give you some joints and return.
Sean KadyI just hate these parties, I guess let us know what's, what's going on with the Colorado scene right now. How are, how do you perceive that, going like the legal market?
Charlie KadyUm, it's, it's uh interesting right now. Prices are down quite a lot right now throughout Colorado. Okay, um, and that's kind of showing on the retail side of things too Interesting. You know, hash prices of grams of hash have come down dramatically in the last like year, so like rosin like you mean, are the live rosin?
Sean KadyYes, you know Like and what we're kind of price drop talking here, like from like that 80 to 100 dollars, some more like the 50, 60 bucks or Um even lower than that. Really.
Charlie KadyYeah, we're getting into like the 30 dollar grams of creamy rosin for sure.
Sean KadyWow, that's pretty crazy man. Do you guys see like Like you're a more developed market? In Colorado than we are here in canada and I guess I'm Do you see like I'm assuming the green market so thriving and stuff like that.
Charlie KadyYeah, I mean, uh, the gray market's having a difficult time too, because the prices Are so low and the regulator market are we. Yeah, exactly Any part. You know, we found that anytime that the regulated market is inflated, that's when the gray market does really well.
Sean KadyYeah, totally, man, I agree with you Interesting. Well, back to the rip tip man. We're super excited to have him in Canada. Um, we're looking at bringing him in here. Um, we really appreciate you teaming up with us to do this giveaway. And, um, absolutely, I had a question with you about the sizes. So, like what is the difference between all the different sizes? And like how would you pick if I'm buying a rip tip? Like how would I pick the sizes right for me?
Charlie KadySure. So the sizes that is going to be directly correlated with the amount of material that you can put into it. Okay, you know you're not. You're not going to want to take a set of size seven and try to drop these brands into it. It's just not going to work too well, okay, so and that was one of the things that we found was missing the glass rolling tip. Our kid Laura was uh, uh, ability to pick a different size based on, uh, what you want to roll up Totally.
Sean KadySo it's an air flow in mind. So keeping air flow in mind always, I guess first is what you're saying when you're rolling and what size of joint you want to roll up.
Charlie KadySo we keep that same function. Uh, even when we have to uh, you know make the tip a little bit smaller for that size, it's still going to have to stick to the function as well.
Sean KadyAh, okay, okay, what size do you use personally?
Charlie KadyI personally like to use a size 11 with about two to two and a half grams.
Sean KadyOkay Damn, I like it. Did you do a little hash one? I want to see. I want to see how he's going to roll this. Do you find that like uh? I noticed a lot of people use rich tips with the, with the hash wall. Is that like uh? I recommended, I guess, on a bigger size too, it's, it makes it nicer right.
Charlie KadyYeah, Absolutely yeah. I would definitely like kind of the size 11 or 12 for a half full 11. But yeah, we have a lot of people using the rip tip with their hash wall.
Sean KadyWe, you know all right, that's amazing. I'm going to order some size 11s, uh, and get back to you. Man, I'm going to roll up a big hacker with a hash wall and uh and let you know, let you know how it goes Bradley Um 11, how's it going, man Are you almost out rolling one up with the rip tip. I want to see this, how this construction works.
EllevanOh yeah, that's right. I, I, I started rolling this show.
Sean KadyThey started rolling up with a regular filter.
EllevanIt must have been habit, it's just, I forgot my glass revolver with us. I was like sick. Yeah, we wanted, I wanted to.
Sean Kadyit looked like a revamp, very cool, and I wanted, your like, to give a Gordon your reaction to the Bradley story, your reaction to rolling up this sucker man. So I wanted to like give the user experience of what that's like, you know, yeah.
Charlie KadyThere is a learning curve. Do you have any?
Sean Kadylike pointers for for 11 years.
Charlie KadyUm, yeah, so um for rolling the tip. You know, if you're not competent in traditional rolling, you can always wrap the paper around the rip tip and stuff it like um, so that's something that people don't really like.
Winny ClarkeOh, I like that way.
Sean KadyThat's a great piece.
Charlie KadyI mean, we have a lot of customers who are a little bit uh, they're not competent in their rolling ability. They don't really want some of the money just to person that they're going to be able to use. So we found that, wrapping the paper around the tip and stuffing it like a cone, that's what it helps until you can kind of learn how to roll with it.
EllevanGot a roll with it. Got a roll with it, yeah, you just got to you go for it.
Sean KadyYeah, you got it, that's awesome, man.
Charlie KadyWell, I think it's like.
Sean KadyI think it take. If you really want to take your, your rolling game to the next level and you like a proper air flow in your joints and you like gunky lips and stuff like that, I highly recommend you get yourself a rip tip. That's what I have to say. I have nothing but good experiences with them. Um, and keep doing what you're doing, man. I had one question for you. I know that, like the, the legend of the rip tip is that it was like you're using parts that glass artists were like throwing away right Essentially, yeah.
Charlie KadyYeah, um, that's, that's, you're right. So back in 2018, when we came out with the rip tip, we originally started just cutting a graph from other products that we have these art caps that we were mitigating with the multi-core tube and anything that was out of tolerance we just simply couldn't use. But we found a way to to reuse that graph with the rip tip and that was how they really got the first start kind of around around our crew here in Denver.
Sean KadySee, that's really dope 11 just rolled one up I. You did a good job, my friend. Thanks, buddy, I think that's a that's a commendable effort. We'll have to. Uh, I'm going to put it up so that when this airs, I know that Gordon.
EllevanBradley visualized this. This is what the joint is like Ready, ready. Visualized you with me you can imagine visit sex Like, just visualize sex in any capacity. It's like that.
Sean KadyYou did a good job, man. He's your host. Well, definitely have to have you by the shop, for sure.
Charlie KadyYeah, man, If you ever come to Toronto dude, please do let us know.
Sean KadyAnd, uh, I'm hoping I can come on to do Rocky Colorado and pay you a visit sometime too. I'd really like to uh, come see, check out what the dank scene is like. I heard really good things about it.
Charlie KadyYeah, please look at me.
Sean KadyDr Colorado. Thank you so much, man. Thank you for being our first ever calling guest. Uh, we couldn't appreciate you more, and uh, well, you'll see what 11's joint turned out like on the YouTube when we posted it. Congrats, all right.
Charlie KadyI'm excited, Thanks for having me and uh, yeah, I'm going to put it guys. Thank you so much.
Sean KadyYeah, it was very good to know you. Yeah, thanks, thanks, dude.
Charlie KadyRockton guys.
EllevanBye.
Sean KadyThat's cool, dude. That was great. What did you think? I know that was like we, we had to get it.
EllevanIt was super easy. It was super easy. Did you try to pull?
Sean Kadythis baby? No, should we get to it? Wait, wait, wait. We can't smoke right here, unfortunately. Okay, let's cut it and we're really back. We're the Disciplines Donors. Yeah, yeah, welcome back. We're here with our friends, the Disciplines Donors. Where did we land on that pizza? Where do we land on the pizza? Yeah, we, we, we're back, we're back, we're back worse.
Charlie KadyWe're going to smoke to the Gary state.
EllevanAnd that's why we're all over the place.
Sean KadyThat's why we're all over the place.
Winny ClarkeThanks, we will definitely order a pizza we will definitely order a pizza, thanks to our friends at the Rift Tip.
Sean KadyYou can follow them at the Rift Tip and our friend, uh uh, bradley Gordon at Gordon Scientific. Follow him and don't forget, send us in, uh, your questions. You want to hear them. We're going to pick out five winners and give away five Rift Tips. So that's the end of that. Back to you guys and you're all the dope shit that you're doing.
Winny ClarkeThat's a fun sound.
EllevanThat was a cool sound, yeah. I was just thinking so yeah, now we're back.
Sean KadyNow we're back. Shop is closed. Shop is closed. Is that the sound when the shop?
Ellevanclosed After hours, baby yeah.
Sean KadyThe pizza is on the way as 11 is said tell me what? What's your go-to pizza? We didn't finish that conversation really quickly. It's got to depend, but it always depends. Not the Brooklyn, okay, yeah, but what about toppings yo?
EllevanOh, on top of it I like anchovy with the spinach and the feta, all like the the trill ass um sun-dried tomatoes, like the special vegetarian ones, trill ass.
Sean KadyWith anchovies, though no, no did?
EllevanI say anchovies, I meant artichoke hearts. Oh, that sounds good. Let me play you a part. Oh man, come on.
Charlie KadyMy name is Alan. This is your new song.
Sean KadyThis is me Wow.
EllevanYeah.
Sean KadyThat's the end of the book. Yeah, that's hard. Thank you, here it is coming.
EllevanI'm coming strong. I'm coming with something that I better be solid. I'm a fucking bitch.
Sean KadyI'm a fucking bitch. So what was the process like on this man? I listened to it today and I was like, yeah, I'm just not a musical person and that's not in my realm of expertise.
EllevanSo how does that? How does that? How does that come about? How did this thing get going? Oh, cool question. Thank you for playing that, by the way. Much love we, the best out now Stream it. My longtime producer, fat sound, was over and he airdropped me to my computer a bunch of beats, as he does, and I played this one and I immediately like got the imagery from like the synesthetic perspective that I do when I receive the song and I just like plugged the right into logic and like with the boys in the room, like I airdrop box the link so they could play it on their phone and they could write in their phones because you can take some time to write their verses. And then I just like pretty much that verse was like pretty much freestyle and I just figured out that that little hook, but like it happened so fast, it was like five minutes and like recorded it.
Sean KadyDo you get together with your people when you're making this stuff, or you all do it just separately and then it kind of like comes together, like obviously you're talking and communicating through the process, but or do you get together or does it just depends on the person that you're working with.
EllevanYeah, it depends with what the producer is, but like he came prepared, like he always comes prepared with like. He has a little folder and a couple producers that work with me have like 11 inspired type folders that like when they make a beat they think that I would go with they put it in there and then next time they see me they're like here, kill this, and then I spit him out quick.
Sean KadyThere you go. Yeah, does this one feel different, like every time that you put it in a song? Does it feel a little bit?
Ellevandifferent. Yeah, this one feels stronger, like I received that information so clearly and it resonated authentically with my personality and my history as a person of like strong work ethic. It just felt like it was something I had right to speak on and the beat just gave me the way to say it.
Sean KadyI love that Well said man, thank you, you seem in a very good mood. You usually like a piece of that You're like it's fucking out, it's in the world.
EllevanYeah, it's always nice to birth something creative. It's so fulfilling. It's like, as you said, artists first. You know that.
Sean KadyYes, yes, yeah.
EllevanI'm waiting.
Sean KadyHow's it going over there?
Winny ClarkeFeeling good.
Sean KadyGood Sean. How you doing.
Winny ClarkeGood, we had a great day. This is a great Toronto Weave Day.
Sean KadyYeah, I feel like, what were you guys up to today?
Winny ClarkeWe well we both did a little content creation in the morning.
Sean KadyOkay is that like a routine. Is that part of the discipline?
Winny ClarkeI mean it's part of his discipline. Honestly, I'm still working on that aspect. I think content creation is so hard Okay does that like help?
Sean Kadydoes 11 help? Try, I have to agree.
Winny ClarkeOh my gosh, absolutely 100%.
Sean KadyYeah, I have to agree.
Winny ClarkeI'm putting out content like one-fifty amount that this guy put content out for my personal brand.
Sean KadyIt's super impressive guys, I have to say.
Winny ClarkeYeah, I mean, yeah, for sure, I highly respect the hustle of like big time.
Sean KadyThank you, bro Just letting you know.
EllevanThank you, love. You guys have enough swag right, Sean. Thanks, man, Love. I appreciate that. I haven't given you any respect on that.
Sean Kadyyeah, Both of you, no, appreciate you guys.
Charlie KadyYou guys are all a joke.
Sean KadySean, no, no, no, the swag, you joker. Oh, I'm so sorry. I told you guys we had surprises. Charlie, what about the swag you want me to give it to them?
Winny Clarkeright now.
Charlie KadyOh what yeah, yeah yeah you got a surprise, a surprise whistle, don't you?
Sean Kadyhave a, so you guys don't get enough swag right, don't get enough swag. I'll hold a key off the knob Unless we listen to your podcast. I think you guys mentioned that. What do you got?
Winny Clarkethere, All this free shit and then nobody ever books out the swag.

EllevanWe needed it.
Sean KadyWinnie's a unicorn because she does so many crazy things in tennis and there's nobody quite like her.
Charlie KadyOh, wow that was so good, so there's a little unicorn on the floor.
Sean KadyIt's cute. I love the track so cute. Yes, oh, the biggest collab in the game bitch and then I can pass Dude, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.
EllevanShut up. This is crazy.
Sean KadySafe to say to you that we're going to have to put these props to good use. This probably won't be the last time you're on the show, I guess.
EllevanOh my god, you're going to be the best.
Sean KadyOh my god, we'll start to have like a mindfulness segment.
EllevanYou are wilding.
Sean KadyOf course this is so kind Dude that's above and beyond.
EllevanYou're perfect.
Winny ClarkeI literally cannot believe it, oh my god.
Sean KadyI actually had this thought, man, that like if I was on a desert island with nobody else, you would be like maybe a person I would want you would be a person You're in my top.
Charlie KadyYou're on my list Because I just think of like this beacon of like positivity.
Sean KadyAnd just this both of you guys. To be honest, I don't know. Solutions based yeah, that's true, I just never heard of negative. I'm going to give you all hugs too, Like negative thing either of your mouths ever, and you have definitely good things to say and you always are funny and so Love you guys.
EllevanThat is true, we do, we do.
Sean KadyMake sure that you know that we appreciate you.
EllevanOh man, thank you so much, that's really nice.
Sean KadyYou guys are awesome.
EllevanHoly shit Thank you.
Winny ClarkeYou're very welcome, thank you. Thank you so much. Huge moment.
EllevanI feel like it's Christmas and my birthday all in one.
Sean KadyCheers to you guys. Cheers for like definitely bringing together. I'll toast to that. Let's do it, Cheers Love love, love A true collaboration.
Winny ClarkeOh, fuck yeah.
Sean KadyWell, I just feel like I've always just loved these guys. They put together the good juju and the like While I get. Obviously, you know you're worried about how it's going to look and all that stuff, but you're fucking dope guys, we're fucking, we're going to do a photo shoot.
EllevanWe're going to do a photo shoot.
Sean KadyWe do a, we do a whole right at the end. So we're definitely going to go with the track suit.
EllevanSo I love this track suit. This is so nice. I'm right now, bro.
Sean KadyThis is crazy you really getting a pants on this is the best birthday ever.
EllevanNice, I love this.
Winny ClarkeThis is beautiful, though, holy shit, oh my gosh this stitching is so nice, that's an official collab right there.
Sean KadyI wanted to bring it back. I did have a question. I know we talked a lot about growing and discipline being about growth. Yes, do you find that cannabis is like a part of that spiritual journey and that growth Does it really? Does it help you personally? I know it helps me, but I was like I fucking you guys are just yeah 100% thought, right. So you guys talk your deer in the headlights.
Winny Clarkestill with the yeah, no, but we can talk about it. I think that, like for my own personal journey, like I really had to get to a point where I understood that cannabis was allowing me to reveal things about myself that needed work, and and and. Up until that point I didn't want to look at those spaces within me that needed work.
Sean KadyI just like, wanted to hope one day they wouldn't when you're not smoking like what do you when you're not smoking here?
Winny ClarkeSo when, when, when I, when I started using cannabis, like there was a, up until a certain point, I was like a really closeted smoker. So I like, oh yeah, like I didn't want to, I didn't want anyone to know. Yeah, I was not a proud stoner, unfortunately. Yeah, so what cannabis did though?
Sean KadyTo feel a bit to be a proud stoner right. Yeah, so there's reasons for that right. When you I mean, there's obvious reasons why you probably felt that way, and I think even especially pre-liculization, if you're going, this was probably like how many years ago, when, when did you make that transition? Do you feel like?
Winny Clarkelike, like 2020, man, when we started at a party.
Sean KadyJust to destroy the stigma. But I get you, wow, I get you, yeah, yeah.
Winny ClarkeIt's pretty crazy. Yeah, it was like a whole thing. Like I like went home to my parents and I was like I fucking 20, 30, I think, at this point, 30 years old and I was like I'm going to be brave and like tell my parents that. I smoke and so like I got that, I was so scared, Walked into their bedroom. I was like you guys know that like I use cannabis, right?
EllevanAnd they were like yeah, I'm like, can I keep going Like hot dog? Yeah, of course. Well, they knew how much. I smoked and it was like they were their logic was like you live with him, Like there's no way you don't smoke or like at least get contact high. They get contact high around me.
Sean KadyThey're like that's cute and we kind of knew but cannabis again.
Winny ClarkeTo get back to the question, cannabis like helped me work through like traumas in myself that allowed for growth. I think that if I hadn't found cannabis, it would have taken a lot longer for me to want to process emotion, I guess. So like it, you know, opened me up to the idea of things. I guess that you know sometimes our taboo like therapy. It's not so much anymore, but at one time therapy was a really like oh, you're a fucking psycho If you go to the therapist, you know like it didn't have a good reputation either. So it just like really kind of has helped me like open my mind and heart to things that possibilities.
Sean KadyYeah, that's how I feel too.
Winny ClarkeYeah.
Sean KadyPerspective.
Winny ClarkeSuch a good teacher.
Sean KadyAnd sometimes it really like helps me think about things that I wouldn't think about if I was.
Winny ClarkeYeah, but I had to get to a point. I had to get to a tipping point with my cannabis usage where I stopped running away from what was wanting to come up in me and started looking at it Like allowed it, yeah.
Sean KadyReceived it Exactly, yeah. One thing I find is, if I think that sometimes emotions I don't know about you guys, but I find that sometimes if there are emotions inside of me, if I cannabis can suppress that, but they need to come out, does that make sense? So it's not on the flip side or like do you guys know what I'm saying? I have the opposite.
Winny ClarkeYou have the opposite. I repress, and then.
Sean KadyI'm like thank you Not all the time. I just feel like sometimes I get in that mindset.
EllevanI know what you mean, though, because weed makes it all right for a minute, so you don't dive in and do the work on certain things. That's what.
EllevanI'm saying it's like you're talking about the cathartic release of emotion that cannabis allows you to feel your way through, but you are like me in the way where you maybe use it to just compartmentalize emotion instead of deal with it yes, and say, well, when I need to do that thing, I'll pay that toll in time, as opposed to right now. I need to get to work and serve my people or do this thing or whatever.
Sean KadyYou articulated that for a while there's no time for that. Yeah, I've definitely been there too. I can catch myself. I know when it's happening. Do you have to pay for it later, though. That's the question. Oh yeah, when you fucking snap. Not them. True, you were saying you went on a break. I've had troubles with breaks. They're interesting.
EllevanOh, really yeah, I went on a break.
Sean KadyI think it's an interesting thing. I still smoke every day.
EllevanIt was just a five kind of thing Exactly, and just like one joint, just because I didn't want to and I was scared that I had a heart thing going on. It was something called costocondritis, which was just the inflamer agitation of the inner muscle tissue next to the rib and it's most likely from coughing, but it was honestly from having such tight we're talking about that nerve or something from your back, or I was pronating or I scared the shit out of me. So I started only eating salmon for like a week and stopped smoking If your shit is threatened at all.
Sean KadyI swear to God I'll be better.
EllevanI'll only eat organic vegetables. We're clean thugs. I'll never do it again. Yeah, it's like fucking when you got drunk and you got problems with it.
Sean KadyI was going to say that when you were young and you drank too much tequila for the first time Next Friday.
EllevanOh man, but yeah no, so I can't remember what we were talking about.
Sean KadyNo, I think we're starting with where cannabis kind of helps you deal with it, whether it be.
Charlie KadyMental states of mind.
Sean KadyOh yeah, it could be spiritual.
EllevanSpiritual, I don't know. For me it literally helps put me in his zone. I think we're realizing I'm higher on the autistic scale than we thought. So like we're creating really good boundaries around, like taking time to reset before meltdowns and situations because I was diagnosed Tourette's and it helped me kind of deal with that and some of my reactions All right. So in social situations when I get anxious, I wouldn't even realize I was doing it, but when he would be like okay, time to go, I start going, like so I'd like have this tick, yeah, and then I kind of channel it into this thing that I do and where I pound my chest or my arms You've probably seen me do that, yeah.
Sean KadyYeah, no, I know it's great, but then I got.
EllevanCardo Chondroitus for fucking banging on my chest for 10 years.
Sean KadyOh my goodness, yeah. So that proves how like one thing can lead to another.
EllevanYeah, and so now I have to learn to internally my energy.
Charlie KadyYeah, a new way to do it, which is back to verbal.
EllevanSo what about dabs?
Sean KadyDads.
Winny ClarkeWhat about Phillips? What about Dubs? You're right, I love.
EllevanMichigan pizza and Dubs, trucksuits, dubs, I don't know.
Winny ClarkeI don't know You're suggesting, dubs is the one.
Sean KadyI was going to ask about meditation why.
EllevanI think they go hand to hand. Sometimes Meditators are huge.
Winny ClarkeEvery morning, non-negotiating.
Sean KadyEven when we don't want to, and that's part of manifesting our daily life.
EllevanWhat's your practice? That's part of not going nuts. Sit on the couch, guided meditation, for 15 minutes like Ross breathing. Calm your central nervous system. Remember that you are in a flesh-based simulation of consciousness. Get back to that zero point before you take yourself too, seriously yeah that's huge. Yeah, because I'm on the edge.
Sean KadyI'm getting back into it. Yeah, I am. You have to just keep practicing. I think it's so hard.
EllevanWhat's your?
Sean Kadyexperience with it.
EllevanI think you guys asked me about meditation.
Sean KadyI did a lot of yoga in the past, before my son was born, and then I need to get back into it because I really miss it. Do it and I find myself just being stressed out. We're going to do yoga in the park bro, it makes sense, that's part.
EllevanI love it, the one near our place in Fort York, what's it called? Because?
Sean Kadyone is a yoga instructor too.
EllevanYes, she teaches beautiful classes Wow ninja, so fun.
Winny ClarkeSo many skills Coronation.
EllevanKind of calm Coronation part.
Sean KadyOkay, that's what we do, yoga.
EllevanAnd she's been like 10 years teaching yoga. She's built up this wonderful community too. Do you want to talk about?
Winny ClarkeI mean, yeah, I've been teaching for 10 years and I built up this wonderful community. That's so cool.
EllevanI wrote that for her See how this works. No, it's actually.
Winny Clarkewhat is cool, though, is that this year actually, I have been teaching for almost 11 years now, and this year was the first year that I felt like, holy shit, I'm teaching Like. Up until now, I've just been like.
EllevanFlailing. Why are you having a ball on?
Winny ClarkeBut not teaching, but like it was very structured and very precise and you feel like you've got some mastery, like very prepared.
Sean KadyI mean 10 years is a long time, yeah, good job.
Charlie KadyYeah thanks.
Winny ClarkeI can look at bodies and like actually serve in a way that's like not looking for depths, like I'm very form focused right now and that feels different than any of my teaching before. Wow, yeah, yeah.
Sean KadyBecause I think your style of practice teaching has changed.
Winny ClarkeVery much, yeah, and it just had to do with like aging and like also getting injured myself, and that was like change the game, because I was like fuck, I didn't know this is what people were dealing with. You just never know if you don't experience it. And I went to teacher training when I was 24 and you don't know when you're 24. You just don't. You think you do. You're 24 and you don't.
EllevanAnd then the person listening and you're like but I do, and that guy just doesn't know. It's like you'll be 34 one day and you'll be like I didn't know shit, shit, I didn't, so but enjoy that, bro.
Sean KadyYeah, I'm like, I'm not sure if I'm 24, is sick because just be dumb for a while. All that Chinese food you're eating. I'll slap myself.
Charlie KadyI'll go back.
Sean KadyEat it, eat it, eat it Open hand, sean Keating, you'll get it. Old man, that's hard Focus, focus.
EllevanThanks for joining us guys.
Sean KadyWe'll play my talk with Discipline Stoners. Remember to follow at Discipline Stoners. Yeah, what do you guys say to it? It's smash the like and follows right, smash the like and follow Smash the like and follow Like absolutely smash.
EllevanOh my god, you closed us. You closed us. I love this big collab.
Winny ClarkeYeah, that's nice. Yeah, and welcome back.
Sean KadyAnd welcome back to higher orbit. Shops closed now. Shops closed 11 and winning Gateway, my gateway drug to mindfulness. Round three on higher orbit, wearing some quite snazzy attire.
EllevanI must say dude, bless us. Like a bunch of kings and queen you are, come on.
Sean KadyI love how you threw the whole robot to. You went for it. You threw the pants on.
EllevanTo. I have to embrace it. I Genuinely feel Love, didn't seen. Thank you so much.
Sean KadyWe love you guys, happy to have you here. I feel like this was such a like episode of many firsts and it all went better than I could have ever imagined Fuck. I'm walking around, what a sweetie being a sweetheart right now.
EllevanHe's being vulnerable.
Sean KadySmiling, I want to touch on that point.
Charlie KadyYou know I talk on.
Sean KadyYeah, well, you guys said you were attracted to my smile and I feel like sometimes I Smile and people get the wrong impression for me smiling at them. Okay, yeah, that makes sense. We talk about suspicious of the smile.
Winny ClarkeYeah.
EllevanI mean you, right you are you are.
Winny ClarkeI think I Think it's prop maybe. Okay, devil's advocate, I think it's maybe less than you think okay. But I definitely think you're not wrong in thinking that, like it's, it's just not something that we really do very often.
EllevanOkay, but let's talk about this guy's smile, just between us, because because you guys, I would call you both big smile. I'm a big smile. I try to make the. I go to the eye contact in the smile, like frequently, like we're strange as we blaze a lot.
Sean KadyAnd I'm mindful of my smiles. Back to the whole mindfulness thing. Like I feel, like when I choose to smile, I choose. I'm not just smiling all over the place.
EllevanI'm not being a smile, slighty smile, or your intention smile, yeah you smile.
Sean Kadya lot of people, though, yeah, usually gets the reaction that I think why? Which is another smile?
EllevanWell, he's very so. Sean is a. We repeatedly see him at parties like either OPP, in passing, before we sat down and became friends, before you became on the podcast, and then I know this and all this great Unfolding, and now we got the biggest March collab in the game, like we how would, how would we, how we would reference you like before we became buzzer. New name Sean is like the big, sweet smile. Guy with your nice, sweet smile because like it's just heartwarming.
EllevanLike you have this innocence about you, don't you find that Bro over?
Sean Kadyhere has the sweetest eyes I've ever seen to.
EllevanI see that you guys just like Did you have really good parents? What the fuck what's so bright, I'm hurt bro Mom's Charlie's mom, that's cool, no, but yeah.
EllevanSo you do throw that smile around and sometimes I think the light is too much for people to accept, like literally, like I don't have the capacity to Understand that amount of light in my reality right now. What do you mean? People can't just snap frequency into a new understanding and perspective of gratitude. If they're in a place that's so low, where they're in a victim mentality, they're feeling hurt, they're feeling wronged, they walk around, they stab themselves and expand their pain bodies and then this blast of light, energy, love, coming at you Aggressively, telling me to change the channel upward, which is, they know, is intuitively correct. It's intrusive in their state of being, which people perceive their familiar state as being able to control the reality, just because it's familiar and it feels like they're in control. So he's demanding, he's like check this out, happy Choice. And they're like fuck you.
Sean KadyI used to get hit with smiling Buddha all the time. Kiki would always be like you're like my smiling Buddha. It's so we brought to this. That's it.
EllevanLike like I want to see in the world. I guess you attract people like us. We stroll up here to see you, to see like your crew and like this, and get to know you guys more, because we're attracted to that energy and then magic shit happens. Huge, sure Bansky story.
Sean KadyI Missed Absolute fluke, so let's talk about. Decompressed. We were like, why were the discipline stoners there? No shit. I gotta say this fucking relax okay, we're gonna get into the whole story just happen.
EllevanThank you. Okay, we gotta get in the whole story, but I do have to say thank you for being such a class act. I'm like cuz. I put myself on the other side of that too, and I was like you know. I was like all of me. That's like you know. It's kind of just like you know, vibe Totally like unintentional, what so ever. So here's what happened, but I gotta give you your fires for being so.
EllevanFor you to embrace us in your space like that we I thank you. I appreciate that. It was such a nice moment. It was really dope that we knew Mallory and she had talked about us in the car to him on their way over here. Oh yeah, that was like I was like what? And she's like it's crazy and she's like remember, I just told you about the discipline son is and he's like the podcast. Doesn't know, I was just gonna show you how quickly Homie and final bell.
Sean KadyBoon, boon are over there to Greg. Greg Boon, so sweet and everyone was just a vibe yeah, we love all the team and Sam Hunt I'm gonna shout him on to. He was at the pop-up and that was the joke I don't. You saw in the photo that I posted he had a hand out and it's like all your hands are so beautiful, sam, you should be a hand model. I'm not a.
Charlie KadySam Sam. All right, hey, charlie, how you doing? It's a Charlie. This is Shabinsky, I'm calling you got a plumbing problem with your dispensary over here. We got a couple things that need to get taken care of. Call me as soon as you get this. All right, all right. Talk to you later. That's the boys man I made him laugh.
Sean KadyWhat was your experience of that? I felt like he was so humble.
Charlie KadyIsn't it?
Sean Kadyso cool when you meet people in real life and they're just really humble and cool and chill and like Legendary folks got to move like that Down to earth, right yeah, like, did you guys catch that vibe at all? What were your?
Ellevanperceptions. Well, we got the cool opportunity to chat with Victorine.
Sean KadyVictorine as well, his partner, I think and she's doing that terpene company that she told us.
Winny Clarkeso much about. Yeah, the fragrance company, right, yeah.
Sean KadyAnd so it's like perfume. Yeah, it's going to be scents based on cannabis derived terpene.
EllevanShe owns the commercial rice at Gelato because, hello, how sick is that. Yeah, and sugar, I believe I just got really hot.
Winny ClarkeYeah it's warm in here. It's a little totally people.
EllevanCan they use that?
Sean KadyAnd infused pre-rolls though, too.
EllevanYeah, they were dry after that. That day. That was just magical man. It was so fun to embrace that moment. We all had to be there for a reason. It's like Toronto weed history. We left.
Winny ClarkeJust like FYI, we left and we were flying high.
EllevanFlying so high.
Unexpected Meeting With a Weed Legend
Winny ClarkeWe were like that was the craziest shit, Because we really just came in to be like, oh, like, we like this retail store and we're going to get a joint, because we just had loaded pierogies across the street which we never have. Like that's so crazy that we even went there.
EllevanAnd we were in a bit of a funk, right.
Winny ClarkeLike I told them, we were at home.
EllevanAnd we were like we got to get out of the house and we got to just like I was like let's walk up to Queen, and then we just like, decided to go with the flow and decided to shoot.
Winny ClarkeAnd I sometimes forget where your store is, and so when we came upon it, we were talking about getting a joint and I was like, oh my god, which was your plan along?
EllevanI knew it was there but for me it was a surprise Like, oh, look at this beautiful retail store that just like, because they'll often come up and grab something and we'll smoke a joint and kick it outside and I always leave feeling better.
Sean KadyThe fun thing I don't know is you guys are both in show business, so I felt like as soon as you came in the funny you should ever you came in you were like what the fuck is going on in here?
Charlie KadyBecause the pop up was there.
Sean KadyThere was an extra kick shit. You guys are looking at me, you're looking around, you're like this is a show, this is a setup. You're like who's coming? Well, no, you didn't know who, but I hear what I thought was happening. You knew something was up.
EllevanSo as soon as I walked in, right Like we're just coming to grab a blend, and then I noticed the pop up. I noticed the brand, but I noticed that there was a pop up in the space that usually there's not there, like it was some other material. I'm like cool. And then, I don't know, I stopped and we were just chatting for a minute and then we saw Mallory and then when I felt that vibe, that some some wheels were turning, like it's coming in, he's coming, like there were some like vibes, well, like something was being awaited for it, I thought that he was coming to be on the pod. So I was like, oh, good for you guys, you got like a big guest, like that's sick.
EllevanAnd then I was like let me grab this blunt and dip, like all right. And then Mallory was like oh my God, this is 11 of this. My son is in. The. Introduce me to the crew that she was with. And then I was like, oh, what's up? And then, final bell, I had been waiting to meet someone from there and then, awesome home was there. Homie from there, greg.
Charlie KadyYeah, awesome I'm going to come in today.
EllevanYeah, yeah, like it was just kind of serendipity, he was because I did.
Sean KadyI obviously kind of knew what he looked like and we were waiting for his arrival and then he was like he had the little get Charlie's in Italy.
Charlie KadyI was very hard.
Sean KadyThat's also was one of those ones where I was like such a pinnacle. It meant a lot to me. But when I told a lot of people about it, they're like who?
Ellevando you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah, because he's a legend in the weed game.
Sean KadyAnd unless you know the way, you know the weed game in the scene. It doesn't mean much to you, but back to that, it was like we were standing up front. I was looking at you and then all of a sudden he was just there.
EllevanAnd I just knew it was him. He just mobbed up with his lovely partner and him and they're just chill, he's smoking a J.
Sean KadyI said you got to place together. I think, that's one of the first things I said to him.
Charlie KadyI tried to have a hello, mr Guzman, I think I think I fully what, if you have oh gee, and you know what was funny is. I stumbled over my words and I forgot to use myself, which was a fire, yeah All right, yeah.
EllevanYou ever do that. You know, you know somebody from Instagram or their famous. I know you from Instagram. You must know me. Can I say something you know? It's really awkward.
Sean KadyYou're just like hi, you are cool, you are cool.
EllevanLet me tell you though in that moment I said to win. I'm like when we look back like this is a young budding industry in Canada, when we look back like the fact that when he pulled up he's like there was, you know, like cosmic Charlie's, and there's like discipline. So there and there was, like I feel like in the story tale of this movie of this time period, it made sense.
EllevanLike the universe has organized the pieces, and to stand there with y'all and to be like repping Toronto in this time it felt right, it felt cool, it felt fucking sick and it kind of showed that we all have camaraderie. Because he's from the States, think about it. He's traveling to see how the weed scene is in Toronto. He's going to tell people about that. Yeah, they were like. Yeah, the like the podcast and like the way that they do a podcast on the stores and they're all buds and they're just hanging out like like we were, like we were off that.
Sean KadyThat was beautiful. We were just stopping by. Apparently we were their favorite store. I don't know. It's a cool fucking store, somebody told me.
EllevanAs soon as you walk in the front and you see the creativity that you do with the TVs and the retro stuff and like the funky, cool, like colorful neon plexiglass stuff and the way that displays are, it's so respectable, like especially from my artist perspective like it's like you know the amount of work that goes into being that sort of experience for people when they come in for weed because, it's all part of upholding the quality pack that we got to make Right.
Charlie KadyIf our little girl is going to be respected like she should be right.
EllevanIt's like have some fucking dope ideas in your retail spaces and you do.
Sean KadyAnd that's really respect. Thank you, thanks, dude, yeah, thanks, that really is important. It really is, you know, anti corporate and like all weed culture first, you know and it's like fun, it's like, it's like you're in a lava lamp. Yeah, it's a little flow in the lava lamp. You feel a warm and fuzzy.
EllevanLike how weed hits you when you smoke it after school with your friends in the sunshine. Yeah, I love it. I love it.
Sean KadyWhat do you guys want? What do you want to smoke up next? And you want to smoke one more before we're done? Oh, do I still have? I want to ask you guys that I was listening to our episode. Yeah, Do I still have the? Um, the Shcherbinsky's caviar cone. Have you guys smoked that one? Oh, infused. Yeah, we'll do one of those. Oh, let's do that. Let's do one of those. Let's do one of those.
EllevanOh my God, yes, I'd love that. Are we going to?
Sean Kadylike in front of you, come back for like one more clip. They're so delicious yeah.
EllevanDo you guys have time?
Winny Clarkefor that Of course.
EllevanOf course.
Sean KadyI think it's been like a day of firsts and I just feel like I want to have you guys back.
Charlie KadyI'm so down.
Sean KadyAnd we'll be like the first four, segment guest the first four.
EllevanThe first four, the first four, the first four, the first four, the first four.
Sean KadyI feel like we owe you guys another one. We'll be right back. Yeah, this one's donors. Yeah, we are back, we are back. Well, their final segment, our extra one, is properly toasted.
EllevanWe just tested the caviar cone resident we made sure it was still good and it's still very good, still very good, we're calling the hotline.
Charlie KadyLet's come back for a fifth segment.
Sean KadyWe're calling the sheesh hotline.
Charlie KadyYou might end up on our Instagram.

Charlie KadyLeave a message at the top.
Sean KadyWhat we call the hotline. Matt we're hashing it out, buddy. We call this is a higher orbit and it's a good vision.

Winny Clarkeproblem yeah.
EllevanHow do you do?

Winny ClarkeWe want to have a back up of the show.
Sean KadyI feel like we didn't do it justice. You're invited back, matt.
Winny ClarkeYou're invited back and maybe one day we'll try having like a fist fight for some reason, for some content.
EllevanOkay, bye, bye, that was fun, wow, straight up invite for the fist fight.
Sean KadyYou can take them. Let's get them on for it. I think that's because he's like the last guy you would ever see in a fist fight.
EllevanHe's a sweetest dude. Those that don't know Matt Nice, he's the sweetest guy ever.
Sean KadySo I don't see him getting in a fight with anybody over.
Winny ClarkeNever, he's so nice Kind.
Sean KadyNice. I wonder what they've done for that. I don't know, I don't know.
Winny ClarkeWell, we're probably going to show up there. Yeah, you might know.
Sean KadyI think you did well. I imagine that's 188 pot line for those that want to call in. Yeah, oh no, I got it completely wrong.
EllevanNo 1833.
Sean Kady1833 pot line. Thank you, charlie. Thank you, yes, that was so fun. Did you have a question? I think you had a question you were holding on when he's funny guys, yeah, when he's funny, exactly. Hey, she's definitely funny.
Winny ClarkeI do comedy, everybody on stand-up comedian. We got fucked, okay. On the last segment. We were all high on segment three. We were like this is fucking going awesome, let's keep this going for segment four. And then we went out and smoked and got fucked and now we're here.
EllevanAnd I'm a stand-up comedian. Do you want to get down to our words?
Winny ClarkeElevens fully trying to steal your guys' weed Just.
Sean KadyFYI. Yeah, he really likes that one.
EllevanNo, I'm not going to steal it, do you have?
Sean Kadythe hand of the ice cream cake times Jealousy.
EllevanI'm going to hold it in my hand for so long until I just melt into my skin.
Winny ClarkeSo I've been doing stand-up for just over a year now, and it was something that, during the pandemic, I thought, hey, I really I'm more than like, really want to give this a try.
Sean KadyEnjoying it.
Winny ClarkeAnd I'm enjoying it. And we have a show on August 18th of this year and at the Redwood Theater. At the Redwood Theater, and before the show, we're going to have a day party Amazing, yeah. So it's going to be a bunch of sick vendors outside the venue.
EllevanA party, a cannabis block party. There's a consumption in your lounge.
Winny ClarkeYes, throw it out and then we're going to have a good time during the day, and then we'll see a comedy show at night.
EllevanSign me up. Sign me up. Yeah, we do the comedy show and the live band.
Sean KadySo how do they get those tickets to this show guys.
Winny ClarkeWe can hook you up with the event. Bright link oh nice.
EllevanJust.
Sean KadyDMS, or We'll put it in the link bio or something.
EllevanYeah, yeah, we'll put it in you guys for sure, it's always such a fun show. It's our fourth installment and, yeah, we started this pre-show market and we want to give like top level unique entertainment in like cool venues. And it's very cannabis leaning in 420 community but it's not necessarily marketed on the nose like that, like anyone and everyone comes, but the pre-show market is very cannabis company leaning and that's like really cool and it's been an enjoyment to amalgamate amalgamations of many, many people. It's always a cool vibe to see the audience of rhythm and flow.
Sean KadyAre you both performing?
Winny ClarkeYes, yeah.
Sean KadyAnd with the music improvised thing Music from 11 and then music from the.
EllevanYeah, and then we did a live podcast activation on rhythm and flow to in December. So we had like a Christmas market and we did a live podcast segment with all of our vendors. So it was really cool and it was like a big pack and Jackie charges in that one and yeah, it was like. Yeah, I like kind of throwing events and then pushing the boundaries with what type of content you can execute on. And you know, we kind of just go back and forth and see like what's the most valuable. And you can see rhythm and flow one and two and I'm editing three right now on our YouTube channel too. Okay, shit, check that out. So it's just like a live concert series and I just like mix it in the house board, records it and live band man, they're so good, they improvise like.
Sean KadyI have a question for what you guys just got popped in my head right now. I didn't think so. I didn't realize you've only been doing comedy for a year. But do you? I know you're both actors too Do you think your discipline, respectively as a musician and as a comedian, has helped make you a better actor? Is there something there? I don't know why it's popped in my head, or is that a terrible question Like why did you ask me that?
Winny ClarkeI think my discipline as an actor has made me a better comedian.
Sean KadyIt's not as trans, but yeah, but I still think that there's like, when you're doing a music, music videos I see you do music videos all the time. That's still acting, so there's translatable skills there. That's one of the other two, right?
Podcast Evolution and Challenging Stigmas
EllevanIt's performing, projecting. It's definitely an active performance and like camera work, if you will, but like the technical craft of acting. That Winnie studies is like how I wake up and I'm obsessed with music. Like she reads scripts. She sits and reads scripts and enjoys scripts and I'm like, oh, good for you, I'm gonna throw on a beat and fucking vibe out and like that's kind of what our work day looks like in a period of creation time throughout.
Sean KadyAny Wait is that your main thing Am I just realizing this is not acting, yeah acting is first.
Winny ClarkeYeah, okay, yeah, yeah.
EllevanAnd then comedy and then yoga she does and then like us as a podcast has, like, ultimately moved into more of a main focus recently as well. You guys have really helped your creative. I was gonna say that.
Sean KadyThank you.
Charlie KadyI really know this is happening.
EllevanThank you.
Sean KadyIt's really impressive the amount of content and it's really commendable and impressive.
Charlie KadyThank, you, thank you.
Sean KadyThank you for taking on a podcast and knows what it takes to be like it's crazy.
Winny ClarkeYeah, I'm intrigued.
Sean KadyNo, you said it was hard and I know he can do it and I'm just like, oh man, and Charlie Gryffin and Marlon we've kind of realized two ever since we started this, and we're only 12. You guys have done over a fucking 100 episode.
EllevanYeah, 100. And how?
Sean Kadymany, now 20.
EllevanOur next one is 150. Wow.
Sean KadySo like so many people are like I want to be in your podcast and they think it's just so easy is just turning on the lights.
Winny ClarkeI know I wish it was that easy.
Sean KadyYeah, I do want to have you on, but and I still feel young, like.
EllevanI know that like.
EllevanIf you look at Joe Rogan, I only became a fan of his like in 600s and now he's obviously so like way past that. But like in 150, he was still doing just the iMac computer live stream thing with like and it was like old school and grubby and you'd be going, you know, and I'm like, okay, I'm that version of me now, like I can't wait to see what our 600th episode looks like and how we can evolve the conversation. And I think our goal now has become less to look at life from a forced lens of mindfulness and be actually vulnerable in our experiences, in how we're pragmatically implementing these tools into our life when we come in contact with challenges. And it's funny now that, because of this narrative and the podcast, part of our focus as a business and the entrepreneurial challenges we face are from navigating the cannabis industry. Yeah, so the whole thing has become consciousness looking at itself while developing. So that's our primary goal is just like to like, put ourselves on the cross and like, show our growth and like hopefully there's some Sorry.
Sean KadyNo, I don't know why I did that.
EllevanNo no. So, it's kind of like the podcast has become this accountability conversation that we have, where it's like we're documenting how dumb we are. Has your process all about?
Sean Kadydocumenting, you know. Do you guys think your process has changed from those first episodes to now and like your preparation for guests? And yeah, what do?
Charlie Kadyyou mean what preparation?
Sean KadyOh yeah, Prop-fucking-gurus. I had a suspicion Must have a rough idea.
Winny ClarkeMust have a rough idea hanging out. Yeah, like it's always our guests or people who are interested in so you knew some stuff on me.
Sean KadyI remember you did some homework, you asked around. Yeah, definitely we do a bit of research.
Winny Clarkefor sure, I think that we could be better prepared, honestly.
EllevanWell, yeah, we admire you with this. This is blowing my mind in your organization Like Well. Shout out to my support.
Sean KadyI have like a career behind me and a team, and I'll shout out that I'm an O2. Yeah, absolutely Anybody that is like I keep going where I'm saying it. I just feel like it's all me. I'm the reason. This is the shit right. Obviously, there's what's up my mind. That's what I say.
EllevanThat's a I don't know, wendy and I have this back and forth of like who named this? And I'm pretty sure I named it because, like this was an effort, I feel that I spearheaded, but I spearheaded the production. You don't know who that's naming, right?
Sean KadyBut then when he's like no, I thought of it when he's like did the idea of his new symbol of the donor come first, or did the name come first, the idea?
Winny ClarkeThe idea of first.
EllevanAnd then we were trying to, and then we said it back and forth in a conversation. It's like, yeah, but you're allowed to be a stoner, but you have to be focused, or something. No, and it's like because we wanted to.
Winny ClarkeI think it was a true collab.
Ellevanactually it was a true, and you were like disciplined and I was like discipline stoner. You were like you have to be a discipline stoner and I'm like discipline stoner.
Charlie KadyYou're like that's it.
EllevanDiscipline stoners. It was like a mushroom moment. You were like Bzzz. See that that didn't sound fast.
Sean KadyYou drew it up there. It sounded like that was it.
EllevanYeah, discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners discipline stoners.
Winny ClarkeIt was also still coming from a place, though, when we started, of really wanting to break the stigma that generally speaking stoner isn't.
EllevanUnanimous with.
Winny ClarkeCharacterized as disciplined.
EllevanClean, classy, quality focused no, traditionally, it's not right. Look at Matthew McComay bitch Like. What are you talking about? Like, come on. And all these good examples.
Winny ClarkeThrough our conversations and through our own growth, we healed that sadness Do you guys think as artists you can put in a box, sometimes for being stoners.
EllevanNo, I think. Oh, you made the assumption that I smoke weed because I'm an artist.
Sean KadyI don't know.
Charlie KadyLike yeah, I'm just saying in that career path Because, as a, why do you think we did my art?
Sean KadyI've been like I think I'm. It assists you.
Winny ClarkeYou know that I was in hallmark style films. Yes, so that's been slightly the bread and butter and I definitely have worked less.
EllevanReally Interesting In that genre, in that genre, but you auditioned for a really dope comedy thing and she's making really good dope strides. The door is closed some open right.
Sean KadyAm I wrong though?
Winny ClarkeYeah, like I don't, did the stoner parts kind of open up for you, I think ultimately yeah, Like, do I really want to be part of a narrative that is like damsel in distress, oh the rich man comes.
EllevanI think, paisio, you know no, I love it. It's a big gig and it's filmmaking.
Winny ClarkeDon't get me wrong. I love the stories and I love acting in them. But if I'm going, if I'm not being cast for any other reason, then I'm just like a bad actor. Like I'll take that. Like if you don't like the way I act, I'll take it. But like if you look at my personal life or the life that I'm trying to create in my authenticity and you say no because of that, then fuck you.
Sean KadyYeah, that's legit, Charlie. Do you think you learned anything today from the disillusioned stoners? Oh well, I almost wish you'd talk more about their. Like Myfulness Juju, why are you still in time? I've been loving that lately, but Well no.
Winny ClarkeI guess yes and no. There's lots of time you guys got to go, you two turning through a party together. Yes, the vibe is strong.
Sean KadyWe try, we try. You got to get that pizza.
EllevanYes, yeah, the pizza would be good. I think the pizza is common.
Sean KadyI think it's munchie time. Yes, unless there's anything else you guys want. Did you have any questions for us? Yes, what's your process like?
EllevanI'm calling for this. I just got handed.
Sean KadyWhat do we got here?
EllevanOh yes.
Charlie KadyWhat the fuck is this dude? This is the popco. Sorry, this is not. We're not giving you this.
Sean KadyWe're not giving you guys these, but you can enter to win them.
EllevanYeah, we will. We will Because there's probably a high chance, like the podcast, what are you going to do?
Sean KadyAbout the share. What else you got to do? What? Are you going to do? It's higherorbitcapopco. That's how you can find out all the details to enter and we're going to announce the winner August 1st.
Winny ClarkeAnd these things are like, they are fancy dabs and you don't feel like you're doing something. They're my favorite. They're my favorite. I see dabs it's very future.
Charlie KadyIt's very future I feel We'll see how good they were. It's pretty.
Sean KadyJolly Roger says it's the pinnacle of hash technology.
EllevanWe've tried it right, We've tried it. We've tried it in a new way Do you know Smoker Chick, try the new one.
Sean KadyYeah, smoker Chick, I feel like I know that handle.
EllevanYeah, remind us who Sweetheart, sweetheart?
Sean KadyWe were at OPP and she was lighting up the popco.
EllevanShe broke out one of those popcos and was like yeah, we're checking it out. And we were like popping on that shit, yeah and dude that was getting puffed out. Yeah, I was like. I was like I'm sad, you guys.
Sean KadySo you guys do dabs On the normal or you do dabble and dabble. I don't Mostly flowers. That's like a puffin dude Flower. You'll do it like at somebody's house if they have a setup, but it's not like you guys have a setup.
EllevanOh, outside, I'll do it outdoors, man. Wow, with the fire summer, I'll do it in cars. I don't care, man, I'll be in a fucking circus.
Winny ClarkeNo, we don't have a setup.
Sean KadyWe don't have a setup. That's what I thought. That's what I thought. Is that where you draw the line though, or?
Winny Clarkeis it like no, we would have a setup. We just haven't invested in one.
EllevanWe have a very. You gotta answer the one. Oh, we will.
Sean KadyHas cannabis ever come between your guys' relationship? You guys have been together for a long time, yeah.
Winny ClarkeI was pissed for a moment when I was still in the stigma before I became a stoner.
Sean KadyYes.
Winny ClarkeYeah.
Charlie KadyOh when you did. I did not when you felt bad about being.
Sean KadyI did not when I was smoking, because I know that Charlie Stroh was with that sometimes, and I think that, like that's definitely a topic of conversation, we probably don't have time to talk about it too too much.
EllevanYeah, it's a real bitch for a while Right.
Winny ClarkeYeah, we were young and, like all of a sudden, cannabis became a huge part of his life.
Sean KadyI'm like and not as big of a part of yours.
EllevanNo Neurogapers, so it helps me focus.
Sean KadyYeah, someone was telling me about that and I definitely see it like that.
Winny ClarkeYou know, in the neurodiverse thing, yeah, yeah, and I think overall, just like there's a transition time with weed, so like you really have to get to know it for it to benefit you ultimately. And so I don't think that smokers who don't smoke you know on a more regular basis, I don't know if they've tapped into like some of the real true benefits that THC and CWD offer, they get scared away immediately.
Charlie KadyYeah, yeah.
Winny ClarkeAnd so I didn't know that, about what it was doing to help him. Yeah, and, of course, over the course of time, I'm like you're getting better and better, like you're just like you're becoming, I'm falling more and more in love with you. You're growing into this amazing person and it was, with you know, alongside cannabis, interesting.
EllevanSo eventually you had to be like fuck, thanks for backing that open. Yeah, thank you for saying that I love you. That's so nice. Yeah, so it helped like a lot of me to focus and live more heart centered and just start to chip away at some of the internal armor that you have and, like that, your ego identity holds in place and you tell yourself these stories, and weed helped me kind of come off some of that.
EllevanI understand some of the judgments and yeah, I guess you could call some of them judgments and preconceptions of things and yeah, and then just life started to get a little lighter and better. And then the more weed I smoke, honestly, the more physically fit I got. Like the more like jacked I got as a person, like the more weed I've smoked, I'm like I don't know, like you work out high, yeah, I don't even feel like it's working out, yeah, but I mean sometimes.
EllevanI'm at the gym, sometimes I'm not, and I'm just always high. So anything I do is high version of that yeah.
Winny ClarkeI just want to quickly shout out these shoe cushions.
EllevanDude. Oh yeah, you can't deal with these. So the smell of my shoe cushion is I had a giant terrible, awful.
Sean KadyOh, the light cream episode with Rhianna Ford. If you go back to look at the YouTube, my legs just bowed.
Charlie KadyI was drinking up water that day and he goes. I was doing deliveries on the bike.
Sean KadyI think I was doing deliveries on the bike all day and then we did the podcast. So Gumblin said laughing and nothing to do drinking up water hiking, hiking everybody, and then like I, just like double Charlie horse.
Winny ClarkeLike oh my.
Sean KadyGod and just went down. It was honestly hilarious, but we got the cushions.
EllevanI love these. I feel cozy, I feel like I'm at a sleepover. Thanks so much for having us on. We love you guys.
