Heroes and heroines - We all need them - now more than ever.
Elia Gourgouris Ph.D. and Randall McNeely were privileged this past week to sit down and interview Lisa Purtue - a living hero in her own right - and had a true lesson on what it means to be a kindness hero.
Abandoned at 18 with a six month child, Lisa had now where to go.
What would you do in that situation?
How would you cope?
Well you have the opportunity to find out how Lisa coped. In this episode you'll learn about:
- The powerful impact one kindness hero can have by seeing someone for the wonderful human being they are and giving them a chance and the tools to help them pull themselves up
- How remaining calm in a very tense situation can temper the feelings of a large group of men in a corrections facility
- How seeing people as people who deserved respect, regardless of their circumstances, enabled her to save the same man's life - twice!
And much more.
