Jun 01, 2023 Season 1 Episode 8
Wolfban

Wolfban and Fred grace the set of the AFPS once again as they unpack a healthy dose of content from the past week, starting with the “Target Pride” Backlash.

Target shares plummet by a nauseating $13.8 billion over the past two weeks. The loss comes as a result of kid friendly LGBTQ+ apparel in some stores.  Which begs the question, should gender political based clothing even be marketed to children; Trans, Cis, or otherwise? What do you think?

The conversation pivots as they discuss the clout chasing antics of a YouTuber who traveled to Afghanistan to make videos of himself with the Taliban. Subsequently, the man was captured by the Taliban.

They unpack more in the realm of gender politics concerning Alabama Governor, Kay Ivey signing a bill barring transgender athletes at public colleges and universities from competing in sports that align with their gender identity.

This decision coming days apart from a lawsuit having been filed against the state of Connecticut by Chelsea Mitchell, the fastest girl in the state, after losing a race to trans athletes.

Wolfban elaborates on his new found interest in geopolitics, and on the concept of “Region Beta” in America. That studying and learning from the conflicts of our neighbors could incentivize American citizens to become more involved in making America better for everyone.

Blue Ivy, daughter of music icons Beyonce’ and JayZ received backlash to her performance to her mothers song “Black Parade” during Beyonce’s renaissance tour. Wolfban and Fred reprimand the public for their harsh criticism of the 11 year old. “Let kids be kids”.

The late Tina Turner leaves behind $125 million of her entire $250 million estate to her second husband, Erwin Bach. The remaining amount is set to be split between her adopted in-laws. The pair enjoyed 10 beautiful years if marriage. Bach even saving her life in 2017 by donating a kidney to her. The news of her estate have left some with mixed feeling because none of it was supposedly left to her previous in-laws including the children of former husband, Ike Turner.

Wolfban shares his feeling about black men fumbling certain women because of the lack of real world representation of successful black couples for African American youth to look up to. He highlights how many people idolize fictional relationships in black tv shows instead of real world successful relationships.

Boosie reacts to Gunna releasing new music saying “I don’t want no rat to excel… I really hope he never sales another record again.” The harsh response following Gunna’s plea deal where he plead guilty to one count of racketeering and conspiracy in connection to Young Thug’s YSL RICO case.

Rap Icon Tupac Shakur receives a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

And Fall of Famer Shannon Sharp announces his departure from the hit sports talk show “Undisputed”.
