In Part 4 of the series, "Dominion: The Missing Message"(a continuation of the "Gospel Guideposts Series"[G.G.S.]), your hosts(Pastor Matney and Bro. Derek Rich) shed some light on specific Old Testament insights concerning God’s giving of Dominion to man, such as an exemplary description given by Pharaoh(Genesis 41:40), as well as an exemplary demonstration in the case of Elijah speaking concerning the rain(First Kings 17:1). Also, the necessity of going beyond "second hand revelation" of God’s Word is emphasized; what we don't know can in fact hurt us. Lazy theology and cliche answers often expose the lack of understanding concerning the relationship between the Sovereignty of God and the Dominion given to man(as the Scriptures indicate that God Sovereignly chose to do). A strong case is made that every unfulfilled desire of God and every contrary thing to the Will of God stems from either the misuse of free will or the failure to exercise Dominion(or the disuse of Dominion). Not by external influences but by His own choice to value relationships of love and trust(better understood as the Integrity of His Word), God is voluntarily prevented from the forcible, unilateral intervention which would require Him to dominate/overthrow man’s free will or to disannul/overturn man's Dominion(further explanation of these, and other statements, will be given in future Podcasts); to do so would mean the removal of the image of God from mankind and the forfeiture of His(God's) intentions. In short, a creation in which God causally predetermined everything, at the expense of love and trust, was never His Will.
