Self-care means taking practical steps to feed your physical and psychological health. Whether it involves enjoyable activity or simply taking a nap to rejuvenate oneself, self-care must become a part of everyone’s arsenal for better performance. On this episode, Nurse Clinician and Self-care Enthusiast Terrin Ramsey joins me to discuss the importance of practicing self-care. Terrin discusses what self-care looks like and offers practical steps to adopting a lifestyle of daily self-care.

I became a nurse in 2007 and have had stints in the emergency department, medical intensive care unit, neuro intensive care unit, coronary care unit, post anesthesia care unit, electrophysiology lab, flight nursing in the U.S. Air Force, and clinical nursing instructorship. I served as an FDA drug investigator for four years. I am U.S. Air Force combat veteran and am currently on active duty as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service. My mission is to help nurses find their voice and thrive by providing helpful tips on matters ranging from resiliency to career advice on civilian and military nursing.
