Can We Sin and Reject God?

Hey folks, welcome to Episode 5 of Brother Scott's Look in the Book.
And by Look in the Book, I am referring to THE book, the King James Bible.
Today I am going to, once again, expose a false teaching from the same Bible teacher I produced a video about who erroneously taught on the so-called Lord's Prayer, and then again on God's blessings in two separate Instagram reels. This time he incorrectly teaches that "his people sin and reject him," meaning reject God.

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.
"Anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of."

Here is what he said in context:
Some Christians foolishly teach that God always gets what he wants. This is contrary to the entire story of the Bible. God so desperately wants a relationship with his people but all too often they sin and reject him. What did Jesus himself say? Then he quotes Luke 13:34, "Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!" That is from the NKJV.
And here is the correct version of Luke 13:34 from a non-corrupt modern version, the King James Bible:
[Luk 13:34 KJB] O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

OK, well, first of all, who teaches that God always gets what he wants? I can't recall hearing anyone teach that, but I could have and just don't remember. Also, he is foolishly teaching that we are "his people" today, meaning God's people, and that we can reject God by sinning. When "his people" is mentioned in scripture, it always refers to Israel, not the body of Christ. The body of Christ is not made up of "his people." We are all individual members of Christ's body with Christ at the head. And this Bible teacher shows how sin conscious he is by teaching it is possible to sin and reject God. Considering what 2 Corinthians 5:19 teaches us, exactly which NON-IMPUTED sins do we commit in order to reject God?
[2Co 5:19 KJB] 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God reconciled himself to the world at the cross and is not imputing (not holding, not counting, not charging) our sins against us. God cannot reconcile himself to sin, so that is why he took sin out of the way through Christ's perfect, complete atonement. So how could we possibly reject God by sinning when God doesn't even see our sin today? Answer: We can't.
God does not look at us by our sin in this dispensation of grace, he looks at us through his Son, Jesus Christ.

At this point, some will argue that what I am teaching gives us a license to sin, as if we need a license to sin, right? Well, that's ridiculous, and this is why:
[Rom 6:15 KJB] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
[1Co 6:15 KJB] Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
[Gal 2:17 KJB] But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Just because we can sin and still be saved doesn't mean we should. As our apostle Paul proclaims, "God forbid!"

My prayer is this lesson will relieve your anxiety that you could reject God by sinning. You cannot.
He reconciled himself to you at the cross.
Now, the next question is, are you reconciled to God?
Let's reference,
(2Co 5:20 KJV) Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

You may be asking, "We can actually be reconciled to God?! I had never heard that before!"
Our apostle Paul by revelation of Jesus Christ tells us we can. So now the question, HOW can we reconcile ourselves to God?
By believing and trusting in the gospel that saves today without any works whatsoever. Notice the words, "THE GOSPEL," in verse one that our apostle Paul proclaims unto us:
(1Co 15:1-4 KJV)
(1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
(2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
(4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Time is short. If you're not saved, make today the day you choose to be. It's your free gift. All you have to do is accept it and then you never have to agonize ever again whether you are saved or not.
