Two hundred years ago Clement Clarke Moore had a poem of his published in an obscure New York paper on December 23, 1823. It would forever change Christmas for most people, and especially bring into light our version of St. Nicholas, or as we call him, Santa Claus.

We love that poem today and recite it annually, as we should. After two centuries, and portraying Santa Claus for two decades, I had decided that it was about time Santa told his side of the story. So using the Japanese Gaidan style, I followed the rhythm, length, cadence and spirit of Clement Moore's poem and came up with a version from Santa's point-of-view.

What is truly fun is that both Clement's first officially published book, and mine, were both illustrated by Mary Moore! The former by Clement's daughter, and the latter by my lovely wife.

We are pleased to present our version to you in video form as our Christmas present to you and your family. We would love to be part of your Christmas tradition, and would be pleased to see you have a copy to read along in your home. You may secure either the hardback or softcover through https://thenorthpolepress.com or at any fine bookseller.

We wish you a wonderful Christmas and a joyful and prosperous New Year in 2024. Thank you for watching.
