Speaker 1:

This is a romance. If it was the last song, would it be me that you slow dance and I could work some sweet old hands as we made plans for me to be your man. Damn girl, you looking straight. We should go up on a date. But if your attitude fake, forget everything I say.

Speaker 2:

So, oz, this week we are not only going to talk about a couple horror movies and a horror trilogy. Coming dive into a little trivia maybe. Maybe do some some racist hot dog car to knows what the world is going to bring us we are back on and doing more cars, man we are back on the clip on mics. We are back on those. I what why I can't find my charger. I can't find my charger.

Speaker 3:

There you go. You are correct, you can't find your charger. You actually came to my house and claimed and it's not like you said where you proclaim that someone broke into your car with the express intent of just taking your computer charger and your mic. Your car is pretty dope, so it's a conspiracy.

Speaker 2:

Listen, you know there are people who don't want us to succeed and you know they are not happy with the way things are going right now.

Speaker 3:

Who are these people? Who are these people? I'm just curious, because who would go I'm a brick into his car and then lock his car again and then bring it to us?

Speaker 2:

So it doesn't matter. I don't have the mic. That's the only thing that matters. I don't have it.

Speaker 3:

Okay, cool. So I feel like the real conspiracy is that you have lost your mic. It's somewhere in your house, dude. You got a lot going on your house. You got two kids. You got a loving wife, you have a job.

Speaker 2:

Listen, yeah, I got a job. Let me tell you I wouldn't have a loving wife if I didn't have a paying job.

Speaker 3:

I'm not trying to be insulting to your wife, but she don't play at all, dude. Nah, she ain't playing no games. Nah, man, she ain't. But guess what? You go on vacation.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll be heading down to the Dominican, so we will probably record an episode here soon.

Speaker 3:

I was saying that her job and your household allows you on vacation, but you can go into your home.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I was just going to go to the DR.

Speaker 3:

What's your confirmation number?

Speaker 2:

Just check it and we're going to record an episode. So one of our episodes sounds a little out of date because it's pre-recorded. But yeah, I'll be out the country chilling while this cold over here in the VA two ups and downs. It's going to be nice and toasty in the DR I was in the PR.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just came back from the PR. Nobody cares about the per, we're all about the doctor, we're all about the Puerto Rico, puerto Rico.

Speaker 2:

So I was on vacation.

Speaker 3:

I was in Puerto Rico and I've had a lifetime for all the listeners. I've had a lifetime goal which I put off my but the list, thanks to some buddies over there that I wanted to skate in Puerto Rico. I wanted to skate in Puerto Rico ever since I saw people skating there in this old Power off the video and I was like man, puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico for some reason, puerto Rico for some reason, what it's been calling me over there, and it's cool and I just man. It just felt very natural to be able to go. It's literally part of the United States, but a shout out to Washington DC, guam and Puerto Rico, because they all deserve representation, because they definitely get taxation.

Speaker 2:

Shout out to planners as well great peanuts.

Speaker 3:

Let me get back to we'll talk and not not colonization, because this dude literally said shout out to planners, the colonists, the colonists who put us on the situation. Hey, this guy said shout out to the planners cocktail peanuts, the cocktail mix where you get one Brazilian nut, just to say how international you are. Come on, bro, we can be better, let's be better. That's not what I thought it was. Let me say, man, you ain't want to come here, you can just put Rico, beautiful dude, puerto Rico is super beautiful. And the thing I noticed but listen, I had the grace to skate all over this country and skating like Europe and skating Puerto Rico now, which is amazing. But what I noticed is, man, when you get your vibe with other skaters, and if you don't speak the language you speak the universal language of, like that affirmation, like yeah, you know, it's a thing, man, and it was really cool and beautiful.

Speaker 2:

I don't have all my sound effects, so I can't play Morgan Freeman.

Speaker 3:

Because someone stole. Someone broke a two car, took a computer charger, took your microphone and then locked your door again.

Speaker 2:

So what that means is this one is on me.

Speaker 3:

Gentlemen, my bad.

Speaker 2:

So sorry about that. That sure is what you're bad, you blame it on me?

Speaker 3:

Can you Google or YouTube how to be an engineer, how to be a sound engineer? No, sound, not me. You hear me well, okay.

Speaker 2:

My god, I got clips, though. I got a couple of backup clips ready for us.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, man just do the right thing.

Speaker 2:

I still got this. I still got this.

Speaker 3:

Shoot this man. Come on, man, I don't have that on my iPad. Hold on, hold on. First of all.

Speaker 2:

first of all, real quick, before I even set the table, you got to put your two fingers down. You point your two fingers at me like that, like I'm some child, and I took the last piece of the cookie from.

Speaker 3:

At all times, if I'm pointing two fingers, there's always a finger pointing back at me.

Speaker 2:

There's two fingers pointing no, two fingers pointing to the side. I don't know what's wrong with your fingers. They're looking real crooked. I don't know where they pointing at.

Speaker 3:

Okay so let's see you do me. Oh, my god.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god. So before we get too deep into things, allow me to set the table. This is Take a Knee from Marvel vs DC. I am your host. Regular, the one and only regular. Oh my god, this is doing Pooch's. Or regular Scott, the Salty Water Fight Game. I am here with my co-host.

Speaker 3:

The Kamakama Sour. Hey, the side five blur. The one and the one, the one and the one. Only it's your boy, it's your uncle and everybody else is on the roll.

Speaker 2:

Why did you turn and look behind me like there's other people that has. Nobody else is in here.

Speaker 3:

Because I said it's your uncle. And I said to a generic everybody else To air hey, I'm the universal uncle. Oh my god, everybody's a universal. All I know is that your son just said he got pulled out by Spider-Man. Hey yo man, let me tell my son out. We even had our love in the street. It's a game of convention, no doubt no doubt.

Speaker 2:

I never heard somebody use the phrase Spiked out by Spider-Man.

Speaker 3:

I never heard anybody say that someone's walking to my car. You really hung up on that.

Speaker 2:

Hey, did you know what they did tell me. They said you can find me on Twitter at me4mallinverseascom.

Speaker 3:

Nah, they said they found you at X. That's exactly what they said.

Speaker 2:

You know what I got to say about that.

Speaker 3:

Okay, you can see this, Some motherfuckers always try to not step in. That's what I got to say about that.

Speaker 2:

I ain't got that one either. You can find me on Twitter at me4mallinverseascom, that's the number four One more time.

Speaker 3:

You can find him on X.

Speaker 2:

No, no, you can email me at me4mallinverseascom.

Speaker 3:

You can also find us on Instagram, okay, and you can find me on Twitter. Now I'm just chatting on the X. What's your X? My X is at OZWIL. I'm the universal uncle.

Speaker 2:

Really, that is no bearing on what I asked you. Where can they find you on Twitter?

Speaker 3:

On X Brother. Let's get this right now. I know you stuck in 2022.

Speaker 2:

This dude said I'm stuck in 2022 from two years ago. My man just put on shades from Miami Vice.

Speaker 3:

No, no, they're bluebackers from the 80s and they work. They work for what we're inside. They cut out harmful ways. Your eyes.

Speaker 2:

I can't see you. Steve, you want to?

Speaker 3:

What, what? I don't understand.

Speaker 2:

What I don't understand. It was a blind man, what it was a blind man, what it was a blind man.

Speaker 3:

It wasn't to who To see the one. What was mean about?

Speaker 2:

it. You just referred to Steve. That's a blind man. I don't understand why we didn't say that.

Speaker 3:

Why was it mean? You said it was a mean thing to say. I don't understand. You have no empathy. You literally had to have me explain to you why that was a hurtful thing. You have no empathy. Regular Scott is just an average Scott.

Speaker 2:

Call me salty Scott. Let's get to some news tidbits. Sure, the Strangers trilogy is coming, with chapter one being released on May 17.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, good Lord, you treat me like I'm 50 Cent. Do something more times, man bro.

Speaker 2:

That was really aggressive right there I'm saying man, good Lord you know what you're talking about.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry. Are you still investing in the Strangers? I can pay like this To be honest.

Speaker 2:

They're all being filmed back to back within five days of each other, centering around the Madeline Pest Riverdale character said to be more of a remake of the first film, while pretending, pray at Night Never Happened.

Speaker 3:

Go ahead. I like what I like it, but you know I think it was a cultural reference, but I'm not really into it.

Speaker 2:

You know I really enjoyed the Strangers. I thought it was a good movie, especially back then. Liv Tyler does a great job. It doesn't take the turns you expected to, and you know why do you like. Besides that, Spoiler alert.

Speaker 3:

I'm winded. There's spoiler alert. What'd you think about it? Did the sound engineer know when to cut it off, or you?

Speaker 2:

say I'm gonna still be, I'm gonna be honest with you. I didn't think that was the sound, that it was To be honest with you. I used to go to the studio. Hold on, let me try this one. I had the wrong one, that was a spoiler alert.

Speaker 3:

So um, but I can't, so man offline can meet you talking about the sound engineer.

Speaker 2:

You gotta get rid of him.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, man.

Speaker 2:

You gotta let him go.

Speaker 3:

It's what they time.

Speaker 2:

All right, I'll let the conversation with him. The reason I like it, though, is I'm always a fan of horror movies where the bad guy wins. I'm always a fan of those, and, you know, I also appreciate a unabashedly evil villain. Like there's no, the reason they did it. They, you know. They asked like why are you doing this? And they said because you were home. I just I love the premise. I thought it was really well done. Like I said, people, people die that you don't expect to A lot of twists and turns. I think it's a great movie, tv show, it's a movie the Stranger Things no Strangers, the Strangers, okay, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I mean I'm, I'm, I'm with a dude, okay, you're not with anything. Our next hey no, come on, oh, that was really mean man.

Speaker 2:

You know what You're right.

Speaker 3:

This one is on me German. My bad, that's not you. That's not you and if you think that it's you, apologizing. It's a really crazy thing. Hey, that's like going. That's like going, you running out of bill from the restaurant, but you meet some of the street and be like, oh man, you like doing the restaurant and tell them he's sorry for running out of the bill. Come on, man.

Speaker 1:

We can do better.

Speaker 3:

We can be better, man, we can be better. Who, who, who got shot? Who got shot? You, just we. We just went through a mental exercise and how to be better football and you shoot people. Who got shot? Our inner demons, or did you just shoot me? I just shot you, okay. Well, okay, that's not really a problem, so I'm but okay.

Speaker 2:

Lewis Pullman has officially been cast as Century and Marvel's Thunderbolt via deadline. What do you think about Lewis Pullman? What color does that? Do Century was previously cat. You know who was century who? They previously had Steven Yewn as Century. I opened the agency right, yeah All right.

Speaker 3:

Hey, is this white boy? Yeah, he got blonde hair. Century's white. Hey, he a white boy. He got blonde hair. No, he doesn't have blonde hair. I don't. You don't have blonde hair, dude. Let me do something, Let me, let me, let me look at his IMDB.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, why are you going, your little ramp?

Speaker 3:

I don't have the potential to be a blonde hair white boy.

Speaker 2:

Well, I'm going to let you know here in one second. Okay, hey, hey, hey. Here's. Here's this filmography so far Lessons in chemistry eight episodes water rises, the line press play Top Gun Maverick. He played Lieutenant Robert Bob Floyd, so that's a pretty big role right there.

Speaker 3:

Who the fuck was that? You, you, you were in the Bob Floyd. Yeah, I was in the Bob Floyd. The Bob Floyd. Oh, that was a big role. I love his line. What was his famous line? Buddy, I don't ever get what he blinked his eyes at third time in a row, that's everything.

Speaker 1:

First of all, all.

Speaker 2:

I said was he had a pretty big role in the movie.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's all.

Speaker 2:

I said that's all I said. You remember him. He was the role five years.

Speaker 3:

And look, you know what you kind of do, you know what I was just funny.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm not going to get rid of him. So it's because all full circle Bad times at L Royale them. That follows, catch 22. The ballot of lefty brown.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's a long line, the realest real the aftermath.

Speaker 2:

I'm the realest real with a short snagger. I'm the realest real, lean on Pete Later.

Speaker 3:

What excuse me lead on Pete Okay.

Speaker 2:

Oh God, dude. All right, let's see what else we got. I wanted to go over one more. Marvel Studios and Sony are reportedly at odds on the Spider-Man four storyline. A new rumor is circulating that Sony wants another multiverse Spider-Man movie, marvel Studios and Tom Holland wants to keep things grounded. So essentially, sony wants all three of the actors and it sounds like Tom Holland maybe wants himself or maybe just one or two of the other guys. Oz. What are your thoughts on the studio at odds, spider-man potentially doing another multiverse storyline, and what do you want to see?

Speaker 3:

down with capitalism and down with Marvel's X being lazy, and so what I'm gonna see in the next one is I want to see him who's him pronounced?

Speaker 3:

oh, I want. So I want to see she them where she got the terms with. I'm actually, I'll just. I want to see him face another, because he's spider-man is always good at reminding us about our moral compass and I like to see him with a like Holden Melissa, tome and being sad, or you know what I see. I want to see him having to go through the process of seeing all these different iterations of May dying and him on the process that you don't need to do the story for that, because everybody knows spider-man, everybody knows what great power come create responsibility, and I try and live that model every day in my life.

Speaker 2:

Okay, well, I know, I think that's a good idea. I do think he needs to. He needs to have a villain that's really gonna push him. I think at this point he's got to go against, doesn't death, push you death pushes you, but he needs something that's gonna physically push him. He needs to be physically pushed okay, like you well, I'm the man, but so I can physically push you, you could try, you could try. I don't know how that's gonna go for you, but you could try it won't.

Speaker 3:

I mean not just to say that I'm a man of peace, but you like you really will say that in my house, where I know I was an eyesore yeah, cuz I'm right beside him not really.

Speaker 2:

I think let me get some water yeah, me, me some man all right, I'll let me ask you question. Black black history month has started. Who was the first black comic character you were introduced to go ahead and tell a lot? You want to answer the question. You too busy unwrapping your hand thank you, first black count.

Speaker 3:

Are you gonna distribute my health in the movie? We're not gonna be around plastic water bottles in front of my face in there. The first black character I was introduced to would be amen. I'm about to tell you some real talk right now. The first black superhero character I've introduced to you was that bubblebee character from the Bill Cosby show, from Pat Albert book costume, where they had that little um, there's this man, is there's this deal? Bumblebee and the other guy, and they're the first black superheroes.

Speaker 2:

So that was my thing yourself, sir, for me it's got to be John Stewart Justice League. Hmm, definitely the first one, or actually I take that back. It'll be Zach from Power Rangers. He's probably the first black superhero I ever saw so, if you okay, oh, I'm great.

Speaker 3:

This is that dream. You really think about it. It was all a dream. It was all a dream. Um, it's been really sad on the reason reason than they do, oh sorry this dude is so disrespectful.

Speaker 2:

He apologizes, listener. He eating on a job. How dare you?

Speaker 3:

I was starving I just in a twisted from everybody. It was delicious and and if you can guess which is the left or right twice, was it the left? I just took which one it was.

Speaker 2:

It was a left okay, so I win the prize. Hey, could I have the prize? Okay, so I win, so I listen. All you have to do is sell glasses, so I want to help send you a prize yeah, I literally just sitting, this dude which way was. Hey, you chose to give me the answer.

Speaker 3:

It's left right up or down my. I literally pointed it. You say, oh, I got a dude. Um, it's a man. Um, you really got to think about this man on an electrical thing. I'm a 53 year old black man. I'm pretty worldly, pretty, pretty traveled, but I never had black superheroes man. And the travescy to all is like who's the first black super female you're introduced to?

Speaker 2:

so for me, the first black female superhero was probably power Rangers. I grew up on Power Rangers. I guess what black female superhero? Oh, she came in the third season.

Speaker 3:

She, she was the yellow Ranger so that's crazy dude like there we have. Like like man, she took the place of a trainee, so I'm sorry, I know.

Speaker 2:

You know what we thought was just said is a lot funny when he had a game. I would hate to be getting those scoped by him oh no, dude, we can't, I would hate it.

Speaker 3:

Hey, hey he. So a little side note about my kid great kid, by the way. I yeah he's amazing, I love, but I'm not just because he's awesome, because also because, oh, he be killing pros, dude why I'm a pro if he had a twitch account and he showed how many pros he killed, baby like, hey man, we're gonna ban you.

Speaker 3:

He's really good anyway. So I want to go back to it. It's really sad. You have a mirror. Look at bra. You know, like, like, when you look at the mirror, I had a mirror, though no, no, you didn't.

Speaker 3:

And see what it be funny. I'm gonna be serious for a second. Okay, when you look at the mirror, that's where you can go. Hey, I don't care how bad or how good you are, but you are you, and and this is a reflection of it's a reflection on my hopes, on my dreams, my despair, my sorrows, but what I'm, what I'm attaining for.

Speaker 3:

Because, like white people, especially white men, have had a mirror to look at all the time, and the problem is them, motherfuckers, looking in the mirror. Now, I hate what I see in the mirror and they mess everything up with, whether it be with relationships or whatever they mess it up. Now we have a space where other people, other minorities, other different skin folk can look in the mirror and be like yo, what's up? Man? And the mirror is awakening and it's hard, and we're in this transition where it's going like you'll, let's see what's up. If I just say again, man, you don't know who you are until you can see a reflection of yourself and you, and we have all these vessels to see reflections ourselves, but but for people of color, all people of color, we never had a chance to see. We're really big reflections of ourselves. You know, and, and it's important, it's so important and I keep dwelling that, so much it's it. It defines you. You know, it really defines you.

Speaker 2:

I think it does, and I do think we have gotten some, some glimpses into those worlds. You know, just between the more black-centric films that we've had, like dynamite shafts, movies like that where they try to dive into it, black Panther, where they try to curry an entire world you know, and and, by the way, that going out to the universe of the world was revolutionary.

Speaker 3:

Now I will say this like in the next couple years, you're gonna start hearing a more, a lot more about all these black sci-fi writers, but you're gonna start hearing a lot more about Octavia Bubba, because they're gonna start using her because she's dead. And then I start milking that shit. And there was a person movies, which is good because she's a very great writer you don't see a lot of John David Washington.

Speaker 2:

This just seems like his alley, but he's. He just came out with that movie on them. Was it Hulu the game? It just always at the creator. Yeah, and that was okay, tenet, like he's. He's all about these kind of like well, he didn't do 10 who's?

Speaker 3:

other, who's a guy in 10 dude 10 it was, the was was a guy who did a memento and and the Batman stuff, yeah, but he was here's a zoo. Oh, oh, you mean Washington.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. Well, that's what I'm talking about. Like he seems to Be in a lot of these kind of black sci-fi films.

Speaker 3:

Well, see the sea. The sea, the creator, isn't a black, it, I think the black.

Speaker 2:

I took to me a Black lead film To me becomes a black sci-fi film.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, see. So I called like the creator. Like to me, a black sci-fi film or black nerd is a more afro-centric film, or afro features. Futurism Is all like like all black care at cast with like a few, so like a black panther. Yeah, yeah, that's better. For me, those are more afro-centric things. But like the creator, is this more like it's just a black lead. I Would just say it's more what is black. It is a black lead, like he is a lead actor. It is, but it's a multiple. It is more multicultural.

Speaker 2:

That's true, but it is at the end of the day, this is a black at the. At the very least, it's a black lead movie.

Speaker 3:

Well, at the end of the day spoiler, that's not true, because you saw it right. No, I've never seen it, so I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I don't know anything about it, oh, he's just the lead. Oh he's.

Speaker 3:

That's why I said he's the lead face of a movie for a person in a movie You're not. That's not right. He he as he is advertised.

Speaker 2:

He's the name.

Speaker 3:

He's the name behind it. He's advertised a lead but the movie is senator. A bunch of different folks.

Speaker 2:

I know I, but he, regardless, he is still the lead name.

Speaker 3:

He is the name they are putting out there beside the creator right, but I want to I want to go back to the original statement is like Not on the Hollywood brand new side of things like the police. He said things. I'm gonna talk about content. I Think we would. We want to be in a space where we have more Afrocentric content. You want more Jordan Peele Afrocentric content across the board, as opposed to the same like hey, this is the face of something, because I Feel like this is going back to the conversation we had a couple weeks ago.

Speaker 3:

Well, it's okay, but I want to be very clear about this having Denzel Washington's son, you are dude. That is just. Advertising that's it. No, that's not like lead. That is not like lead. That is, that's absolutely not. That is Advertising. Is seeing a black face?

Speaker 2:

Well, we just disagree on this point.

Speaker 3:

Well, cool, but but I want to be. I want to be clear about my side of the.

Speaker 3:

I want to give you side to that. But when you're talking about, you see, black lead, black lead is like, hey, this is the executive producer, this is a producer, this is, this, is this. That's black lead. What you're talking about is Hollywood, white Hollywood, advertise the. A black face, that's a black face. There's black lead like face. And so I want to get to the point where, as we move forward, where we have like really deep content that focuses on people, color and Africans, because we've been left out so much.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, cool, Like I said, they just you know we look at it two different ways.

Speaker 3:

But, but, but. I'm gonna give you your grace.

Speaker 2:

I really don't. I don't like spending more time on it. We're just good about a time on this.

Speaker 3:

I guess we did, but you, but I don't. I still don't understand your point.

Speaker 2:

It's just as a pretty clear point if they film is led and advertised with a black name a black actor or actress, whatever it may be that is a black lead film. The lead actor, the lead name on the film is a black man or woman, but or even director. Even a Jordan Peele film is a black lead film to me. Wait, he's leading the film.

Speaker 3:

That's his film but, but, but, but, but, but he but he's produced it. Jordan Peele produced it and directed it, and and that's black lead. We're, as opposed to having just a black actor in it and not not having done anything else.

Speaker 2:

That's not black. I would disagree because I think. I think, no, there's no need for us to go back and forth, and it's not that, it's not that big of a deal, well no?

Speaker 3:

it's not. It's not that big, but not for us to go back and forth. But let me, let me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I just don't want to go back and forth. You want to go back and forth on this. You want to prove your point. You don't know how to.

Speaker 3:

You want to prove your point, go ahead. I don't want to put my point wet, but I want to state my point again.

Speaker 2:

There's a different way. I but we heard you the first time you said it. What are you gonna say? Different this time?

Speaker 3:

Um, um, black empowerment mean that the forces behind the film have had have been majority black. All right, okay, you can't just say this a black actor, because we're going back to those old days of family. He said the potier or Will Smith hey, this is a black project, is it really? Yeah, we have one black actor. Very well, so it's like there. I was like, well, that's not really true. So I, that's all I have to say. We'll be alright.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's, let's move on, all right. So After that, let me see if we have anything from let me ask you a question.
