What does Scripture say about evil that demands the ultimate cost — and how should believers respond?

In Part 3 of our Return of the Gods series, Kristen Kipper and Pastor Penny Schulz examine Molech, the third and most disturbing figure in what Scripture reveals as a dark spiritual pattern. From the earliest pages of the Bible, Molech is associated with worship practices that demanded devastating sacrifice — practices God clearly and repeatedly condemned.

Through a biblical lens, we explore who Molech was, why God’s Word is so firm in warning His people to have nothing to do with this false god, and what Scripture teaches about recognizing spiritual corruption when it resurfaces in new forms. We also ask difficult but necessary questions: if this influence were to return, would there be signs — and would we recognize them?

This episode is not meant to shock or sensationalize. It is a sober, Scripture-grounded conversation about discernment, obedience, and the value God places on human life.
