Welcome to episode 1!

To kick off this podcast, let's begin with our journey.  My son met met his milestones, and he had said momma and babbled and could use a fork and could do play dates, but slowly after his first birthday he lost those skills and regressed.  And as a mother, I sort of made excuses for his regression- I thought that maybe I was giving him too much screen time so that’s why he would babble because he was too distracted with the TV.  I thought that maybe he forgot how to use a fork because I didn’t give him enough foods that required a fork and on and on.  Deep down I had that inkling that this could be autism but I didn’t want to see it.

Fast forward a few months (we officially received our medical diagnosis of ASD around his second birthday) after implementing the GAPS diet, functional medicine testing and detox, and therapy, my son is now verbal and showing great signs in recovering from autism.

Recovering from autism is a battle.  Each area of recovery has it's own challenges and doesn't it feel like a battle every day?  But it is a battle we much fight in every area to insure we win this war...the war on autism.
